Heavenly Father, only through the death of Your Son could we know the full extent of Your grace. Though our sins bring untold loss, Your grace brings infinite gain. Your grace exceeds our rebellion and points us to the Refuge for our sinful souls. Thank You, Father! You don’t grant a partial pardon, but You extend a full pardon to all who call upon Your name. Your grace is incomprehensible, infinite, and indiscriminate to all of Your creation. Help us to extend grace to others as You have richly extended Your grace to us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, it is good to remind ourselves “to never doubt in the darkness what You have told us in the light.” It is in the thick of things that we often let the light of Your Word grow dim and turn to human methods to resolve our problems, growing more frustrated all the while. The glory of Your divine light cuts through the fog that clouds our journey here below helping us to enjoy peace and rest when we fully trust You; for the darkness of our situation does not stop Your glorious light from getting through and showing us the next step we take which leads us closer and closer to our eternal home. You are worthy of all praise, glory, honor and thanksgiving! In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we bow in prayer before You today, and ask that You, in Your great glory give us the power to be strong inwardly through Your Spirit. We pray that Christ will live in our hearts by faith and that our lives will be strong in love and be built on love. And we pray that we will have the power to accept the greatness of Christ’s love – how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is; it is measureless, and boundless, covering a multitude of sins. Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever fully know, but we pray that those, who are struggling in their faith, would be able to experience that love, that they might be filled with Your fullness, Father. Amen. Heavenly Father, just as we received Your Son, Christ Jesus as Lord, we continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as we were taught, and overflowing in thankfulness. May our words, our actions, and our thoughts be full of praise as we consider all that we have and choose not to dwell on that which we have not. Above every other blessing is the gift of Your Son, Jesus, who came into the world to save us from our sins. And the greatest gift yet to come is the inheritance that awaits Your faithful saints when we cross the stormy Jordan banks to our peaceful dwelling in heaven. Our hearts are truly satisfied and filled with thankfulness to You. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, while the world obsesses about outward appearances such as good looks, muscular bodies or perfect figures Your Word is impassioned with teaching regarding the inner heart; the very character of who we really are that nobody can see except You. Help us to be more concerned about what You see on the inside than what others view from the outside. Peace, joy, love and many other Christian virtues come from within our redeemed spirit which no education, outward adornment, fashion accessory or muscular frame can produce or duplicate. Help us to be slow to judge and quick to pray for those who are different from us and help us to see them and love them as Jesus does. It is in His name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is commonly tempting to understand You in human terms and measure your worth such as Isaiah prolifically depicts in his prophetic letter. When he describes the means by which we, Your created ones go about measuring, one’s ability falls enormously short of what You, in Your divine nature, have done, what You can do and what You will do. We are unable to understand or appreciate all that You do because we are the finite created ones and You are the infinite Creator. There is nothing and no one who can compare with You. You are the most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, Almighty, victorious, Your great name we praise! Amen. Heavenly Father, when times are tough, if we fully rely on You, we find that You are enough to get us through that which would otherwise overwhelm us. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way and the mountains be cast into the sea. You are Creator of the universe, creator of our human existence and You are in control of all that concerns us. We trust You for that which distresses us including those whom You have placed in our care. We must go through many hardships to enter Your kingdom, but You go before us, prepare the way and sustain us during the journey. Help us to plod on and pray every step of the way. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I consider the words of Nehemiah who wrote, “The joy of the Lord is my strength” and Solomon who reminds us that “A cheerful heart is good medicine.” Both verses speak about matters of the heart where we store up Your love, Your joy and goodness that comes from You. Help us not to rely solely on external stimulus to bring forth a smile, but let our smiles be contagious as they are evidence of Your abundance within in our lives. Help us to find a person today who has no smile so that we can pass ours onto her or him. May we be purposeful in making eye contact with others so they realize we value them as you would want us to. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I am an ordinary person who has submitted my heart to You. But it is in the ordinary people that the infusion of Your power makes them extraordinary. Your Holy Spirit gives me boldness that does not come naturally to my personality. Thank You for giving me the strength to stand against the basic principles of this world when they conflict with Your eternal principles. Lord, help me to be a watchman for my family, my co-workers and my friends as I pray for their salvation or for their continued spiritual fruitfulness. I thank You that I do not stand in the gap alone but You, my Father, are with me so I stand in Your strength! And I find additional courage as I observe committed believers who stand up for You when others bow their knee to the idols of our day. Keep me faithful. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, help us to view work as a blessing from You that gives us opportunity to participate in gathering adequate provisions for our family as well as making a positive difference in our work setting. We can overcome challenges in the workplace when we do our work heartily, as for You. We seek to be just and diligent in our work not just when we’re being observed by our supervisors or fellow-employees, but we remain aware that You are always watching over us. Help us not to resent or dwell on the negatives of our work or workplace, but to recognize how we serve You well when we work with a cheerful heart and we make the workplace a more pleasant atmosphere as well. We are especially motivated when we remember that our reward is not just the weekly paycheck but most importantly the glorious eternal inheritance we receive in heaven. Keep us faithful we pray. In the precious name of Yeshua we pray. Amen. |
