Heavenly Father, with great anticipation, I look forward to the crowning day when I will be among Your faithful followers! I am so eager to join brothers and sisters of every nation where we will at last speak one language, the language of heaven. With one voice we will exalt the Lamb of God who sits upon the throne proclaiming, Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. In Jesus name we ask and thank and say come quickly Lord,. Come quickly. Amen!

Heavenly Father, we cannot remain neutral but must stand for that which is good or we will fall for that which is evil. Help us, as believers, to cling to that which is good even when it comes at great sacrifice. With the aid of Your Holy Spirit, we will be keenly discerning of the spirits of this age. Philosophies of this world must never trump principles from the Word. We look to You alone, for “There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I commit myself to You this day, I ask that You help me to walk in Your light. Make me a glowing ember of Your truth, Your wisdom, and Your compassionate mercy. I want my light to shine for You so that all glory will be directed back to You, my source of light. If I find myself in the midst of a circle of those engaged in ungodly conversation help me not to blend in. But rather help me to be the light of Your glory in my conversation, full of grace seasoned with salt, so that I will know how to respond to each person. I ask that You would reveal to me any false motivation for carrying out good deeds. Remind me that it is for Your glory that I do these things. It is neither for the praise of others nor for personal advancement. Lord, help me to share Your light today that will direct one’s thoughts toward my Father in heaven. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Jesus, is the light of the Light of the world. And because He resides in our hearts we are a reflection of His holy light. The world we live in is dark and growing even darker as Satan’s sinister and deceitful schemes are being played out. Help us not to look the other way when darkness is spreading lest the darkness overshadow us in time. Instead would You empower us, through the light of Your Holy Spirit, to shine in a wicked and decadent society. We come against the darkness by speaking against wickedness in all forms. And, Lord, help us to be consistent not only in what we speak but the manner in which we live. May the fruit of light be evident in all we do. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that endurance and persistence are attitudes derived from a faith filled-life with You. Our persistence is marked by the determination we have to finish the race though struggles weigh us down and doubts cloud our vision of the finish line. Thank You for marking the race out for us and for the great examples of those who cheer us on as we participate in this Christian race. They finished their race on earth, through their enduring faith made possible through Your amazing grace, though they experienced opposition from sinful people. We endure hardships and struggles as discipline from You, our loving Father, that we may share in Your holiness. Strengthen our feeble arms and weak knees as we throw off everything that drags us down or tempts us to give up. We persevere in the name of Jesus Christ for the heavenly finish line, Amen. Heavenly Father, any words we speak or pictures we draw cannot fully describe your infinite love. Your boundless love reaches beyond the heavens and yet it penetrates our individual hearts. It is only in experiencing a personal relationship with you that we begin to sense the inexhaustible and pure love that comes only from You. Even as the mighty waves are unceasing and powerful, washing over the boulders and rocks in the seas, Your immeasurable love fills our lives to overflowing so that Christ’s mighty love is seen through us. In Jesus’ Name we praise and thank You. Amen. Heavenly Father, we who believe and are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, can never thank You enough for the things You have done for us, things so undeserved yet You gave Your Son, Jesus, to prove Your love and acceptance of us. The voices of a million angels could not express our gratitude, all that we are, and all we ever hope to be we owe it all to Thee. All glory be to You, our God and Father, for all that we have is due to Your gracious and benevolent love for us. Thank You Jesus and in Your name we ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, though we might not recognize it while facing an obstacle or enduring a trial, it is a golden opportunity to see You work in a supernatural way. I have seen this time and time again in my faith walk and especially this past year and a half. Not only will You bring about a solution in the circumstances that perplex us but You also develop godly character in us as we patiently endure the waiting period. The Psalmist tells us to “wait on the Lord and be of good courage and He will strengthen our hearts.” Then He reminds us again to wait. Lord, I pray that You will bless and encourage readers today who are waiting. For as we wait we develop patience, endurance, and faithfulness among other Christian virtues. And that is an answer to prayer that we may not have even voiced but greatly need. I praise You and thank You in the name of my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, I consider the depth of one’s faith and how far-reaching it is when fleshed out in one’s life. Timothy’s sincere faith was due in great part to the influence of a godly grandmother and equally devoted mother. As we stay in communion with You through prayer and obedience to Your Holy Word we ask You to keep the flame burning within our hearts. It is not just compliance to Your Word, but also fervency in our spirit that will convince others of their need to walk in Your ways. Thank You Lord for using me in this way as I spent time in the hospital and to have nurses come up to me and ask about the God I serve. You are an awesome God. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You provide the answers to life’s questions about those things that trouble us. Of greatest importance You provide the answer to life’s greatest question, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” You sent Your Son to be our Savior who would die for our sins so that we might be forgiven and receive an abundant life here on earth and an eternal life in heaven. We are learning to trust in You with all our hearts and not rely on our own understanding. We want to acknowledge You in all areas of our life so that we will seek You above all, and the counsel provided in Your Holy Word, for the answers to life’s questions. Jesus truly is the answer for the world today, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. It is in Jesus name we pray. Amen. For the precious brothers and sisters who stand in agreement with me, I need your prayers for myself and also for my bride. A year ago last June I had my appendix taken out which was gangrene. Lots of mistakes were made and what should have been a day surgery ended up being 4 days in the hospital. Then in December, I spent 6 more days in the hospital because there were two spots of this infection that they didn't get. Well for three days I have had the same symptoms. I have had these symptoms come back every two to three months and I have stood on God's promises and I have gotten better. This time it has gotten worse. So I am asking you to pray for the medical team that will see me at a different hospital which my wife Leanna and I will be going to as soon as I post this prayer. Again, thank you all for your support throughout the years, your prayers and the bonds that I have made with many of you. We love you and may the Lord richly bless each and everyone of you, Jim |
