Heavenly Father, You want us to do more than just survive. You want us to thrive and therefore You provide, from our inmost being, flowing rivers of living water. The world seems to be filled with stagnant or dried up holes of water as we witness the rising surge of immorality, dishonesty, suicide, corruption and crime. But even as we journey through this troubled world rivers of living water can flow through us as we exercise the fruit of the spirit in our daily lives showing to others love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We want to walk in the wisdom and knowledge of the Holy Spirit and joyfully declare that we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ which gives us surging, endless hope now and forevermore. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus who came that we might have life and have it in abundance. We thank you so much for a full life. We’re grateful for Your grace that teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. We’re thankful that Jesus gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own. We realize that the one who sows to please the sinful nature from that nature reaps destruction, but we choose to sow to please the spiritual nature and from that nature reap eternal life. Keep us faithful in doing so. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, we desire that all our ways would be steadfast in obeying Your decrees. In a day’s time there are many things to be done, people to see, goals to meet, places to go, and on and on the list goes. It’s easy to lose sight of our stated goal of obeying You in all matters since we’re daily exposed to ungodly philosophies, lifestyles, and trends that stand in direct opposition to teachings from Scripture. Yet Your Word tells us to remain steadfast in our Christian witness, prayerful in all matters, faithful in our example to others, and obedient to the teachings of Scripture. With the help of the Holy Spirit we will be obedient to Your decrees even as we pray for others to see the Light that shines out of this darkened world. In Jesus name we ask and give thanks. Amen. Heavenly Father, we earnestly seek You for wisdom regarding the daily circumstances of our lives. Help us to incline our hearts toward You for understanding all that You have to teach us. During the quiet sessions when Your voice seems silent help us to trust You knowing that You work all things out for our good and for Your glory. When we are called upon to help another in need of guidance may we draw from the ancient words long preserved for our walk on this earth; the words from Scripture that guide us not only for our earthly pilgrimage but truths essential in guiding us toward our eternal abode in heaven. In the name of Jesus I hope and pray. Amen Heavenly Father, thank You for the physical instruments You supply when You created us. We have mouths to speak, ears to hear, eyes to see, feet to walk, and hands to work. We dedicate our lives to You and to Your service, whether it is related to evangelism and the church or whether it is the work we do in places of employment or in our community. May the work of our hands be sweet in Your sight, worthy of honor, and a blessing to others so that we all pitch in to make this world a better place to live, until we reach our eternal abode where sin will not be present nor will there be any more sorrow or sadness. And it’s all because of Jesus in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Without it we would walk in darkness and be led astray. We acknowledge there are many distractions that can get us off course. We want to give attention to Your Word, respect its message, and follow its instruction so that we will not drift from the truth. We want to be just like the people in Jerusalem who listened carefully, gave reverence, and responded in repentance to the reading of the Scripture in Nehemiah’s time. We praise You Jesus and ask this prayer in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, as we experience amazing grace through Your forgiveness of our sins it compels us to show compassion to others who have not yet applied Your grace to their lives. As Jude writes, we are to “Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” In reaching out to others who are still living in sin help us to be discerning, wise, and cautious, always loving the sinner but never embracing or justifying the sin. May our redeemed lives be living examples of the freedom we enjoy in this life after we forsake worthless idols in exchange for the grace that is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord, in whose Name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank Your for Your Son and my Savoir. Jesus Who is my friend who sticks closer than a brother, a mother or father, thank You for the many Scriptures reassuring us that we’re never alone, whether it’s during our mountain top experiences or in the valleys below. You promise that Your Spirit will never leave us nor forsake us, but You will be with us always. We are encouraged and strengthened by Your abundant promises and Your abiding presence. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You bless those those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. The sweetness of Your Word is like sweet honey in our mouth that reminds us of Your faithfulness, Your goodness and Your mercy that overflows into our lives as You forgive us of our sins and provide us with an abundant life. Your Words are a sweet savor to our soul as we walk obediently according to Your Word. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Savoir. You know my tendency to worry and fret about circumstances and people dear to my heart. Thank You for giving me Scriptural wisdom in how to deal with this ongoing weakness that robs me of Your joy and peace. As I seek first Your kingdom I will look to Your Word rather than the unending problems that lead me to a worrisome state of mind. As I read Scripture over and over that pertains to my needs, it replaces the time spent worrying over and over about the problems at hand. Meditation on Your Word is similar to worry in that I turn Scriptural promises over and over in my mind. You replace my worried thoughts with divine wisdom and peaceful reassurance as my heart is open to You when looking for answers to my problems. Help me to seek You above all else and trust Your overflowing provision for all that concerns me today. It is in Jesus name that I pray. Amen. |
