Heavenly Father, You are the Creator of the earth that I live on, the water that I drink and the air that I breath. Lord God, as You created order in the universe You also created order and harmony in my life. Sometimes it seems as though chaos triumphs over order, but then I take some quiet time with You in Your Word and find that You still my heart and calm my troubled spirit. You do uphold me by Your powerful promises revealed in Your Word and through the presence of Your Holy Spirit that dwells within. Thank You for Your great faithfulness that I witness and experience each new day. Jesus, You are the living Word that became flesh and through You I ask this prayer. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I learn many things from the story that Jesus shares about the rich man who took no thought for his life after death. Lord, one thing I learn is, it is a picture of so many who live for the here and now. They store up treasures that don’t transfer to eternity and dismiss the truths that do prepare us for eternity. May this illustration bring comfort and peace of heart to those who suffer in this present life, as Lazarus did. Jesus said in Matthew, "So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today." Jesus, lead us to the Gospel of Your innocent shed blood, the cross, Your resurrection and our repentance. Praise You Jesus. May they be reminded of the joyous life yet to come where there is no pain, sorrow, or alienation? And help us to be faithful to warn others to prepare not just for this temporal life, but for eternal life. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, I rejoice in You as You do wondrous works in my life I can’t help but tell of the splendor of Your majesty or proclaim Your great deeds. Because it is abundant in my life it overflows through my conversation, my deeds, and in my praise toward You. May my children and my children’s children rise up and call You blessed. I never want to limit the transmission of the gospel to my own blood relations for I want it to spill over to all who are in my sphere of influence. As You give me opportunity to share my testimony, use my gifts, and apply my skills may the work of Your Holy Spirit be seen through me and draw others into a relationship with You. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, I trust in You today to guide me in all I do. You have a perfect plan for my life and Jesus dying on that old wooden tree was part of that plan. Jesus, You are life’s greatest Treasure as You emptied Yourself of equality with God and chose to be made in human likeness taking on the very nature of a servant. Thank You for coming to us and meeting our most critical need, the need of salvation. May we not be timid or embarrassed to openly voice Your presence in the public square even as great hosts of angels proclaimed Your earthly arrival in Bethlehem. Your salvation message brings hope to the hopeless, strength to the weak, and release for those help captive in the ravages of sin’s wasteland. You did not descend to earth in order to conquer or enslave, but to draw the hearts of humankind to Yourself through the incredible sacrificial love that poured forth from Your body on the cross of Calvary. What personal wondrous love is this. I praise you Lord Jesus, my Redeemer and I ask this prayer in Your Holy name. Amen. Heavenly Father, up until about five years ago, when I did a multi part sermon message on worship, I didn't know just how important it was. Praise God! Jesus, You teach us that our act of worship is not confined to a cathedral setting nor does it require professional ministerial training to carry out true worship. It comes from the heart of the true believer who acknowledges that You are the long awaited Messiah, the One who is called Christ. We worship You in Spirit, for though we cannot humanly see or touch You, we come to You in complete sincerity with a spirit that is directed by the life and activity of the Holy Spirit. Lord, We worship You in truth because union with You requires believing and speaking the truth. May we be the kind of worshipers that pleases the heart of the Father. and we ask in the precious name of Jesus. Amen and amen. Heavenly Father, faith comes from hearing and hearing from Your Word. Lord, we also learn form Your Word that without faith, we cannot please You. Lord, we thank You for Jesus who died for us that we might be lifted from our sin and reconciled to You. Not only are we forgiven and reconciled to You, but we also are made joint heirs taking on our new identity as “children of God.” What an incredible honor and selfless act of love that You would place us in Your Kingdom whose reign is for all eternity. This is the wonder of Your great love, indeed! We ask, pray and stand in faith in Jesus name Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for patience with me when I sometimes struggle with teaching others. Lord, I know that some are more hungry for you than others and I have to remind myself that often. You have called on us, Your children, to be reliable in giving a solid witness of our faith in You. We are to live godly lives so that we faithfully model that which we also teach to our children and all whom we are privileged to influence. Lord, in this crazy, mixed up world I see people that claim to be followers of You, that embrace the very things that You have called an abomination. Jesus, we realize that there is no neutral position; we either live for You or we live for the world. Fix our eyes on Jesus as we journey below so that we fulfill the calling to be faithful and influence others for the kingdom of God. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I am reminded this morning about Solomon. Ecc 12:13 and 14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. :14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Solomon was not happy in his life even though he had everything his heart desired and more. in his latter years, that it is essential for us to stay on the straight and narrow path laid out for us. We have no way of knowing when we yield to temptation just how far sin will take us, how long it will hold us, nor the damage it will do. So we must be wise and resist sin so that we find blessing instead of shame, victory instead of failure, and life instead of death. Help us to never weary of following You. All the days of our life we want to remember You, our Creator. In Jesus name. Amen. Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Lord You are good and I thank You loving us and that You came to earth to fulfil prophecy, teach the disciples and those that followed You. Lord, I thank You for Your sacrifice of dying on that tree for me and all that call on You to be their Lord and Savior. Lord, You shed Your innocent blood for me, to allow me to have fellowship with the Father. I believe You could have at any time called the angels to save Yourself from the pain that You went through, the humiliation that the soldiers, the crowd and the thieves on either side of You at Golgotha put You through. You loved us that much that You unselfishly was willing to die for us. Lord, I humbly call upon You today to search my heart and lead me to repentance of any wrong doing that I have in me. My Savior, I ask You to cleanse all unrighteousness, as only You can do. Lord, I pray that You help me be the husband, son, father, grandfather friend and teacher that You choose me to be. Lord, I praise You and I ask this prayer in Your Holy name. Amen Heavenly Father, the world most of us remember is gone. Lord Jesus, You shared about many things that would happen in the last days while You walked the earth and we have noticed the birthing pains. Lord, we pray for our leaders that they will look to You for guidance and follow Your commands as recorded by the prophets long ago. We want to be a blessed nation once again and will be so if men and women in positions of authority live godly lives as commanded in Scripture, and those who follow respond in like manner. Help us to be faithful in doing our part. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. |
