Heavenly Father, there are so many luring paths one might take in this vast world, thinking they’re headed the right way, only to find the long roads lead to a dead end. As believers, we know that there is only one way to reconcile ourselves to You, our Father in heaven, and that is through Christ Jesus Your Son who declares, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life”. We cannot earn our salvation because You give it freely though it came at great cost. We choose to receive Your gift of salvation through our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. We are immensely grateful for Your love and generosity toward us through the merciful sacrifice of Your beloved Son, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, the words that Jesus spoke to the chief priests upon His arrest, “This is your hour… when darkness reigns” would days later turn into the finest hour on the Christian calendar. Torture and death did not have the final say, for darkness dissipated and light broke through as Jesus rose from the tomb. We are joyful and victorious as we walk in this newness of life provided through the death and resurrection of our Savior. We are also reminded that evil and death have no permanent hold over us, for the former things have lost their power because Jesus defeated our greatest enemy. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift of salvation. Thank You Jesus and in Your name we pray. Amen. Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. You willingly became the sacrificial Lamb whose substitutionary death freed me from the heavy shackles of sin, degradation, and eternal damnation. We think of You, Jesus, the Man of Sorrows. I thank you for showing the world the full extent of Your love. My response to Your act of mercy and grace toward me is that I place my faith in You and recognize that Your love; so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all. In Your name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, when the Greeks came to Philip and said, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus” they were requesting an audience with the Son of God even as the Jews were rejecting Him. When Jesus said, “If I be lifted up from the earth I will draw all men to Myself” He clearly understood His mission was to save people from every tribe and nation. People looking to be saved aren’t interested in stained glassed windows, beautiful cathedrals, impressive preachers or world renown Christian artists. They wish to see Jesus, for only Jesus can save them from their sins. Only Jesus can deliver them from their dreadful state of hopelessness. Only Jesus sit at the right hand of God the Father. Only Jesus can be their personal Saviour and make it possible for them to spend eternity in heaven. Help us to show seekers the way to You, our Father, through Christ Jesus Your Son in whose name we pray. Amen. Jesus, above all types of wisdom we want to be “wise to salvation”. Help us to fix our eyes, our thoughts, and our affections on You, our blessed Redeemer. Though You faced enormous opposition that would provide understandable excuse for altering Your redemption plan, nevertheless You endured the cross and scorned it’s shame. Thank you that you died for our sins, rose in victory, and returned to Your Father to sit at His right hand. When we consider the depth of Your commitment we’re even more determined to be faithful in the night seasons of our Christian walk. Help us to endure by keeping our eyes, not on that which is seen, but on the unseen future rewards that You promise to those who are faithful. We pray this in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, our hearts are stirred as we consider the extent of Your love in sending Jesus to die for our sins. As He wept over Jerusalem we see His tender humanity in relation to our sin problem. How grateful we are that Jesus yielded Himself fully to be a sin sacrifice, once for all, not just for Jerusalem but for peoples of every tribe, tongue, and language; for all generations prior to His sacrificial death and for all who follow. Jesus’ sacrifice was once for all adequate to satisfy Your justice and to supply forgiveness to all generations. Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! We praise You Yeshua and we pray this in Your Mighty name. Amen. Heavenly Father, when the Roman Centurion was an eyewitness to Jesus’s crucifixion up to his final breath he was moved and convinced that Christ was more than human, indeed he declared, “Truly this man was the Son of God!” Though we were not eye witnesses of that most important historical event, through the testimony of many witnesses and through the power of Your Holy Spirit, we too can declare present tense, “Truly, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God”. Lord Jesus, we ask You during these trying times to work in our lives. Let us love others. Help us to have compassion on others as You did and still do. You did and said what You saw Your Father say and do and some of these things we can read in Your living Word. Let this best selling book be our guide. There are millions that are scared to death because of this virus and being asked by our government to distance ourselves by from others. There are places that have been shut down temporarily and some for good. There are many people that that are down right mad over these things and also the unknowns. Lord Jesus, help us to make a difference in this world. It is in Your name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, in Your divine providence although I will go through many hardships, there isn’t one that I face alone. For in my weakness You are made strong, in my folly You are the God of infinite wisdom, and in my insecurities I take hold of the hope You offer to me which is firm and secure. Lord, during this hardship that this country and the world is going through, help me to be an example of living my life for You. For those that know and follow You, there should be no fear. You will not abandon the work of Your hands but fulfill Your purpose for me as You strengthen, sustain, and instruct me during times of testing. I do not want to be casual in my spiritual commitment or lazy in my spiritual duties, but instead I want to imitate those who through faith and patience inherited what has been promised, though they went through many hardships in their sojourn here on earth. Keep me faithful to the end. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, all throughout Scripture we hear Your warnings, but there is so much that we cannot foresee nor do we understand. Some of this understanding will fall into place as we have opportunity to look back and see how You were at work, though Your hand was not visible at the time. We want to trust in You with all our heart and not lean upon our own limited understanding. As we trust You fully, we will obey You faithfully and Your blessings of favor will fall upon us. Thank You Jesus and in Your name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as the apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Corinthian believers, “If our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. But our hope and assurance exceeds our temporary dwelling on earth, for when “our earthly bodies are planted in the ground after we die, they will be raised to live forever.” When we breathe our last on earth “our bodies will be buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory” where we will take on immortality and reign forevermore with Jesus.” Blessed be the glorious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen. |
