Heavenly Father, as my neighbor and I build phase one of a deck at my house, I am reminded of how Your children should act. So I ask Holy Spirit, remind me and all those that read and stand in agreement with this prayer and I ask You to help us to be team workers who are diligent, prepared, strong, resourceful and wise in all our endeavors. Characteristics common to the ant are of great benefit to us as we follow Your daily leading in our lives. We thank You for the ability to work physically and to enjoy the reward of our labor. We’re grateful to You for supplying all that we have need of but also for the opportunity to use Your gifts wisely. In Jesus name we ask and pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, help me to look beyond the immediate to the deeper meaning of each day’s task. May the hope You place within this redeemed heart of mine stir up a joyful spirit and an overcoming attitude regarding the difficulties I encounter throughout the day. Endurance is activating hidden strength for my tasks by keeping my eyes on future rewards. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and renew a steadfast spirit within me as I rejoice in the unending hope I have in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.” Heavenly Father, help me to walk faithfully with You day by day. Though there are daily temptations and recurrent distractions that seek my heart’s affection even as I wait upon You to respond to my supplication. Help me not to be restless in my complaint but to rest in confidence that you are working on my behalf. Help me not to lunge ahead of Your unfolding plan for that which concerns me. I also want to heed Your prompting when You nudge me to move keeping in step with the Spirit’s prompting. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I am eternally grateful for Jesus who imputed His righteousness in me, just as You imputed my sin into the sinless Lamb of God who poured out His life for me on the cross. Through this merciful and selfless sacrifice of Christ I am justified. Jesus truly paid the price for my salvation just as if I’d died for my sins and yet He removed the penalty of sin for those of us who truly repent and believe. Thank You for this wondrous eternal gift paid in full by the atoning work of Your Son, Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You that You shine Your light through us most especially in unusual circumstances in which we find ourselves. We are to let our lights shine before others that they may see our good works and glorify You in heaven. There are times when we cry out, “No More! I just can’t do this anymore.” But Father, in Your infinite wisdom You give us daily strength and spiritual resolve to carry on in the darkest of circumstances so that the light of Christ might be made manifest in our lives. We will carry the light of Your salvation through our words, our actions, and the way in which we seek to be fruitful and bloom where we are planted. It’s in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, for Your creation which reaches back to the beginning of time and for that which is created this very moment we recognize You as our sovereign Lord. All that we have and all that we are is an act of Your generous and benevolent mercy extended to all generations, past, present and future. God of this morning, we thank You for the opportunities this day provides for us to sing to You a new song and to bring glory to Your name. God of tomorrow, we trust You for that which will bring about rejoicing and that which will bring forth sorrow, gain or loss. Blessed be the name of the One who gives and takes away. God of past ages, You are the same yesterday, today and forever. We trust in You – forever faithful, changing never God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three in One. Amen. Heavenly Father, we pray that You will help us to grow in Your grace and knowledge, that we will continue to mature in our Christian walk. Scripture, repeatedly, indicates that spiritual maturity is a result of enduring trials of various kinds. In the midst of these trials Your soft prompting or guidance through Scripture, through other believers, and through the circumstances we face can easily be ignored when self gets in the way. Today we make every effort to add to our faith those characteristics that will sustain and grow us in our Christian walk. In so doing we will be effective and productive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, during times of ease but even more so during times of difficulty. Keep us faithful and keep us growing, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, when we try to work out circumstances with our finite human wisdom we lose sight of Your supernatural power that brings all things into conformity in Your appointed time and in Your sovereign ways. Whether our difficulties are of our own making or through no fault of our own, it is always Your desire to come alongside us and help bear our burdens. So we do well to cast all our cares upon You because You care for us. Help us to trust You, Your ways and Your timing for all that concerns our hearts this day. Thank You Jesus and in Your name we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for taking care of Your children like a shepherd that keeps watch over his sheep. When we wander astray You lovingly seek us out and bring us back into Your protective care. When we have need You provide for us. You renew our strength when we are weary and discouraged. You guide us in the right paths for Your name’s sake. Though some of those well-trodden paths are laid out in valley settings You walk alongside us, lessening our fear of the unfamiliar settings and experiences of our mortal life. Your provision of everlasting peace is ours to receive here and now and forevermore. Thank You for never letting go, through the calm and through the storm, for You promise to uphold us with Your righteous right hand. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are our help in ages past, our hope for years to come!” How powerful and enduring Your Word is. It is ever-living, ever-relevant and ever-active in the lives of believers all over the globe conviction people of their sin and calling them to repent that they might be born again. More than just print on a page, the Word of God penetrates the heart; guiding, instructing, convicting, delighting, comforting and performing Your supernatural work in our lives. Increase our love and passion for reading Your Word faithfully so that we may grow in understanding and appreciation for all You have to show us. We seek to bring You glory as we witness to others that we are born again. We pray that our lives “bear fruit in keeping with repentance” as a visible witness to others of Your awesome lifechanging power in our lives. Through Christ Jesus we pray. Amen. |
