Heavenly Father, fill our hearts with assurance and hope no matter our personal circumstances or the troubled world in which we live. We are not without hope, for we know that You are a God of hope that fills believers with all joy and peace as they trust in You, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. It is only through the power of Your Spirit that we can still have hope when Satan seeks to destroy and wipe out our brothers and sisters who speak up and live for Christ. We do not close our eyes to the persecuted but instead we uphold them in prayer; those personally affected by such godless and heinous attacks. Though the slain believers are now in heaven we pray for surviving widows, widowers and orphans as they’re forced into forging a new way of life without their loved one(s). We declare by faith Job’s proclamation, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth.” In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Father, stir in my heart the desire to be diligently immersed in the Word of God. The deceiver is diligent in planting seeds of doubt, confusion and clever lies always intending to lead me off course in my spiritual walk. As I persevere in reading and applying truths inscribed throughout Your Word I ward off the incessant pleas from Satan to yield to sin. I desire to be Your faithful follower not just for a season but all the way to eternity. It is my heart’s desire to influence as many as possible to join me in this noble calling. May You find me faithful so that those who watch my life daily may also find me faithful! In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have given us the greatest example of a humble spirit in the person of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who had nowhere to lay His head. He went to where the needs were rather than the place where comforts awaited Him. This is most especially expressed when He gave up His position in heaven where Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with You something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, He was made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! From the heights of the heavens to the depths of the earth we submit our will and our attitudes to Your conformity through Christ our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the diligent farmers who work the soil, plant the seeds, and then await the germination and growth of the seeds planted. It’s all a work of faith since many crucial factors are out of their control; too much rain or lack thereof, the proper growing temperatures, disease and harmful insects can make or break the harvest, and catastrophic storms can affect the fields for this season and the next . So we thank you for those who year after year toil in the fields to provide healthy, vibrant and delicious foods to fill our plates. It’s generally a family effort so we pray Your blessings upon the entire family as they work together to make a very productive contribution to our well-being. We also give thanks for our spiritual leaders who contribute to our spiritual well-being, who work hard at feeding our souls. They, too, deal with troubling elements out of their control following their seed planting, so faith and persistence are key tools in the results of their labor and future harvest. Bless them, their families, and give them fruit for their labor, we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I teach from Your Word today on standing strong in You, I pray that You guide me and that everything that is shared comes from You and that each one that comes to the room, or hears on YouTube has their spiritual ears on. "Let them that have ears hear." As we go through very trying times around the world, Lord I consider the extremely difficult choice Job made not to sin by charging You with wrongdoing. I consider Joseph who withstood tremendous temptation by resisting the seduction of Potiphar’s wife. And I consider Daniel who refused to stop his custom of praying to his Father in heaven though he knew it would land him in the lions’ den. These three, among many other godly brothers and sisters, chose to do the right thing knowing that doing so would cause them great suffering or terrible injustice. The ultimate example is Jesus, Your Son, who died in our stead though He was wholly innocent of sin. Help us not to look for that which is easy, quick, or that which will avoid consequence. May we be willing to deal with the consequence of obedience to You; whether it works out for our good in the short term or not. May our greatest concern be for that which works for our good internally and eternally. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we call on You, our everlasting Lord and God who existed before the foundations of the world were established. From everlasting to everlasting You reign supreme in the heavens above and in our hearts below. You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last who loves us with an everlasting love. We want to be a faithful people who call on Your Name regularly and exalt You above the heavens as we glorify You here on earth. In the name of Jesus we praise You. Amen. Heavenly Father, when we consider the saints throughout history and the marvelous saving power portrayed in their lives we’re encouraged by their bold example and their consistent enduring walk with You. We recognize these “greats” of the past and those in our own generation who are faithful and powerful examples. They do not build their own kingdom or take credit for their accomplishments. Instead they recognize that it is God alone who deserves our truest praise, no matter our own personal sacrifice. We gratefully declare to ourselves and to others, “This God is our God! He will be forever and ever! He will be our guide even unto death.” Thank You Jesus and it is by Your name that we pray. Heavenly Father, the concert of the ages, from eternity past to eternity future will consist of a great multitude that no one can number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels will be standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and fall on their faces worshiping God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever!” In Jesus name we pray. Amen Heavenly Father, as I walked around my yard yesterday and saw perennials starting to emerge from the ground and buds starting on some of the trees and knowing that they would be blanketed with yet another layer of snow during the night, I am thankful still. Lord, as each of us that stand together in agreement of thuis prayer, as we consider this world and all its fullness we are blessed by the abundance of beauty. Fields of daisies, the rolling hillsides, the great and small bodies of water, the sandy sea shores, the giant oaks, mountain ranges so magnificent they’re viewed for hundreds of miles, landscapes splashed with every imaginable shape and color. These views and far more than the eye can see or hands can touch are all works of Your sovereign, creative power. Yet You entrust to us soil, seeds, and plantings with which we can cultivate, plant, water, trim, and grow fruit and vegetables for our food substance and ornamentals for our pleasure. You water the earth and raise the sun each day. We expect such things, but it’s also like a pat on the back for those of us who enjoy seeing our laborious efforts in planting spring to life and give back to us sustenance, nutrition, and beauty. Though this world is not our home, it’s the only place we’ll travel before we reside in heaven, so we want to be good stewards of what You have entrusted to us. Thank You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the powerful God that You are. Even the winds and waves recognize You as Creator and obey the voice of the Master. Your Word is a lighthouse that directs us safely toward heaven when the furious waves swirl about us and the water rises up to our necks. I confess to You that my doubts rise up when Your voice is silent. In these kinds of circumstances I begin to wonder if You really do care. Instead of questioning Your care for me, help me to prove my faith by trusting You even when You are silent. I want to persevere in prayer and understand Your overall plan in these matters that concern me. And when I don’t understand Your plan help me to trust You because faith that cannot be tested is faith that cannot be trusted. Keep us firmly anchored in Your loving promises, remembering that if it matters to me, it matters to You. You’ll hold me up as I tread above the troubling waters and swim to safety. Or You will command the waters to descend. Either way, with Your guidance and strength, I will endure to the very end, by Your merciful hand. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |
