Heavenly Father, we confess that there are many teachings of the Bible that are hard to understand and challenging to apply. Yet we honor Your inspired Holy Word and hold it up as the standard for our pilgrimage here below. As lawlessness and ungodliness continue to spread all around the globe our comfort and safety is shaken. We use the word, “blessing” when we receive unexpected gifts, promotions, have good health, a warm home and other such comforts. But Jesus informs us that we’re blessed when we’re hated, ostracized, insulted and when our name is scorned because of our devotion to Him which includes our stand for righteousness as defined in the Bible. If our only rewards were received here on earth Jesus’s statement would be deeply troubling, but when our vision is turned heavenward we find peace and strength in knowing that our greatest and lasting reward for remaining faithful in the face of evil awaits us in heaven. Don’t let us forget that promised, eternal blessing that lessens the sting of rejection and ridicule. In the name of Yeshua we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, there is nothing we can do or say to merit salvation. It is a gift freely extended to all who believe because Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins. He washed our sin stained garments with the blood He shed on Calvary’s tree. Thank You, Father, for accepting Christ’s blood as a complete payment for our crimson stains inviting us to stand before You in garments white as snow. What a relief and unspeakable blessing it is to know that we have a place in heaven reserved for all eternity because of Jesus. It is in His name that we give You praise and thanksgiving. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is because of our sinful human condition that we spend so much time worrying about what others think and live our lives with their view in mind, instead of Yours. You who sees our minds and hearts from inside out – You know that which motivates our actions, while others simply judge us by what they see. We lay out our hearts bare before You today and ask Your Spirit to reveal that which honors You and that which should be burned like chaff. Remove our pride and replace it with humility as we confess our need for cleansing. “More of You and less of me” is my prayer today. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for leading me to the passage found in Ephesians about saying no to the world, the devil and also the flesh. Over the years people have made many plans and spent lots of money planning trips and vacations that last for a week or two. We dream, gather resources, and learn from others about all that we should see and do to make it a meaningful event. And yet the majority of people neglect to make plans for the trip that we will all take which will last, not for a week or two, but for all eternity. Help us not to be so temporal minded that we neglect preparation for our eternal destination, for it will be of great or disastrous consequence. Father, there are millions of souls to be won for You. Let us put aside our wants and our desires and proclaim the gospel in each of our communities. Let us not be afraid of loosing friends, or even family members because they might laugh at us for our love and faith in You. Let us resist the enemy when he whispers to us that we aren't worthy to be following You. Thank You, Father, for making heaven possible through the sacrifice of Your Son, Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior, in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we live in an age where both our land mailboxes and computer mailboxes are crammed with gimmicks. Offers are rendered to viewers through every media outlet so we’ve grown skeptical about receiving anything of value that we don’t pay for ourselves. Yet the greatest eternal gift offered to all of humanity is beyond our ability to pay. What we were unable to do through the Law You did by sending Your own Son, Jesus, in the likeness of our sinful flesh. In doing so He made Himself an offering for our sin so that we might receive forgiveness and be adopted into the family of God. Such wondrous love You pour out to sinners who disregard and defile Your Law. We are gratefully indebted to Christ Jesus our Lord who paid the ultimate sacrifice of laying down His life for our sins. which brought about forgiveness and places us in right standing with You, our loving Father. We cannot boast, for it is not in observance of the Law that we are cleansed, but through the free gift of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.We have freely received this gift and we want to freely share it with those who have not heard. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, in exchange for our filthy rags You clothe us with a garment of praise. Our sins of crimson are lifted and we are washed white as snow. While we were yet sinners and powerless Jesus died for us, the Godly for the ungodly, and we are now covered by His cleansing, atoning blood, destined to reign with Him forever in heaven. Words are totally inadequate to express our thanks but we dedicate our lives to that purpose. Ours is a deep, eternal gratitude to You for Your matchless mercy and grace lavished upon us. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, our little becomes much as You show us how to do good and honor You. We choose not to be crippled by our limited abilities or inadequacies. We don’t give to others according to that which we don’t have, but we give to others from the abundance You pour into our lives. May it overflow to those around us as we seek to be a blessing and an asset to the planet. Direct our footsteps according to Your Word as You give us opportunity for divine encounters this day while reaching out to others in the name of Christ Jesus. It is in His name we pray. Amen Heavenly Father, I praise You for changing my heart. I’m not what I used to be, There is a major difference in my actions and attitudes since I made You the Lord of my life. If I trace back to the beginning of my relationship with You I see more clearly the major changes You made in my heart. But since my life is a living sacrifice there are always new challenges to tackle, temptations to resist, and trials to endure as a believer. It is not in my own physical strength or power that I am equipped to conquer the enemy, but it through Your Holy Spirit that I come against the giants of doubt, fear, bitterness, greed, lust, discontent and all the other negative foes Satan throws in my path. Though I’m far from perfect and always will be on this side, help me to endure to the end when that which is imperfect will be gone. Sin will no longer have a grip and finally I will be completely whole. All because of Your amazing grace as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, the mission of the Gospel was explained by Jesus Himself, in answer to Nicodemus, who wanted to know what it means to be born again. Jesus made it clear that He did not come to earth to condemn Your creation but rather to convert sinners. We, as followers of Christ, declare this same message to a fallen world as well, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus extended the greatest invitation that we’ll ever receive providing the greatest deliverance we will ever need resulting in the greatest possession we’ll ever claim; eternal life in heaven. To think that You could love a sinner such as I, how wonderful is redemptive love like this! I gladly receive it and share this wondrous love with others. In the name of Yeshua we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, the majority of people avoid walking through the door of salvation that You provide through Christ Jesus, the Shepherd of our souls. They rely on good works, generous giving, religion, and other means by which they might attain eternal life. But You have made it abundantly clear in the Scriptures and through the teachings of Christ, that the only way we can be reconciled to You, Father, is through Christ Jesus, who is the door to salvation. We thank You for sending Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to be the Lamb who was slain for sinners such as I. Amen. |
