Heavenly Father, there are many trials and tribulations that we face here on earth. It seems we get over one hurdle only to face another, but we are comforted when we remember that we are not alone in our trials, nor are we the only ones to face difficulty. The greatest test and the greatest triumph were both present at the death and resurrection of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ who overcame death and the grave. Help us to remember there is no triumph if there is no test. We take courage when we undergo testings and tribulation when our minds are focused on Jesus, not the trouble at hand. Keep me true, Lord Jesus, keep me true. There’s a race that I must run and victories to be won. Give me power, every hour, to be true. In the name of Yeshua I ask and thank. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for those who make known the “unknown God” to the people of a foreign land or right here in the United States of America. More and more we hear of those who pray or look to a “higher power” for help in their day to day struggles. How unfortunate for them if they do not know You personally, Father God, to be the Highest Power available to all creation. From the very beginning You created a hunger within our hearts to serve you, but far too many misfeed that hunger and rather look to “gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill”. Instead we are to feed our spiritual hunger by serving You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. As we draw near to You, You promise to draw near to us. Thank You for making Yourself known to us in Your Word as we immerse ourselves in Your truths. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, daily we entrust our safe keeping to others as we venture out on the highway, as we eat food provided by total strangers, as we take medicine that could bring about disastrous results rather than healing. When we use time-saving power tools or electrical gadgets we are at the mercy of modern inventions and other people, the vast majority of them are complete strangers. Whether it’s the driver of the subway or pilot of the aircraft, whether it’s the children obeying the cross guard or a doctor prescribing a cure for what ails us or if it’s a soldier looking to his comrades to cover for his safety. We rely on these animate and inanimate objects every day and yet, as believers, we more fully rely on Your providence, Your knowledge, Your power and goodness to care for us in dangerous settings. What reassurance we garner as we realize that You are always watching and caring for us. And when our time on this side has expired You are there waiting to usher us to our eternal abode where no danger lurks, no sins defile and no sorrow awaits us. Praise be to Your holy name forevermore. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as the giver of all good gifts, You gave the greatest gift possible when You sent Jesus to die in my place. Because of this most wondrous act of sacrificial love I have been forgiven of my sins. I want to live for You all the days of my life and take as many to heaven with me as I can. Help me to share freely and generously the marvelous message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will listen. In the name of Jesus Christ, my loving Lord and Savior, I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we know that You are a faithful God, keeping Your covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love You and keep Your commandments. Your love is so abundant that You not only have provided for our physical needs but also our spiritual need of salvation. We have not seen, nor have we heard and our mind has not fully conceived of the things You have prepared for us but we look with anticipation to the time when we will receive all that You have promised to those who love You. In the precious name of Jesus we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, hear our earnest prayer this day. May You, the supreme example of persevering love, help us to daily nurture our love and loyalty in human relationships. May we be loyal to our partners, looking after their interests above our own. May Your grace help us to live above the fall-out that comes from inevitable trials. Enable us to overcome daily temptations as we rely on You. As we genuinely seek You we are confident that You will grant understanding, forbearance, and a persevering love that will last a lifetime until You call us to our eternal home where we will be richly and eternally rewarded. Lord, You are love and You proved that by sending Your Son to die for us so that we could be reconnected with You. Thank You Father and we pray this in Jesus' name. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the wonderful gift of love that we experience in a romantic relationship that often grows into a marital bond between a man and woman. It is a holy union in which we, as devout believers, make You the Cornerstone of our marriage and family. May we be a support to each other as we provide a loving and protective shelter from the bitter disappointments of life. May the fruit of the Spirit be evident in our daily walk both at home and in public places. Keep us wholly faithful to one another, rejecting every lustful temptation the devil sends our way. May we prove our love to each other with mutual respect, understanding, forgiveness, kindness, forbearance, and unity. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, may we be people who are quick to notice the ways in which we can be of special blessing to others. It seems quite easy when it comes to those whom we befriend. We often recognize their need before they express it and find genuine fulfillment in being Your hand extended to them. But You challenge us to go even further in making ourselves available to our enemies with whom it is not natural to provide for their needs. In expressing agapé to those around us we love in spite of what we see or have experienced. May all that we do on behalf of others be an expression of Your heavenly touch extended through Christian human service. It is in Your strength and compassion that we can do that which is unnatural to our human flesh, but natural to our redeemed spirit. In the name of Jesus we ask and give thanks. Amen. Heavenly Father, may we honor You and respect ourselves as we fix our eyes and thought life upon whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and whatever is admirable. Center our attention upon those things which are praiseworthy so that we build up others in the faith as the light of Christ radiates from our spirit to those around us. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You that You have promised to be our faithful Shepherd leading us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. We are guided, not by our own strength or wisdom lest it be inadequate or faulty, but in the knowledge and wisdom of our all-knowing, all-powerful God. It is not by might, nor by power but by Your Spirit that we can stand against the tactics of the enemy. Like Nehemiah, may our first impulse be that that of prayer and our second impulse be that of obedience. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen. |
