Heavenly Father, I thank You for the song You give me each morning. Lord this morning a old hymn from when I was growing up is what You gave me today. Lord as simple as this song is (They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love), it is rich in meaning. Lord God, we join our spirits with Your spirit so that the whole world will know that we are one in You. Halleluiah!! Jesus, we unite in purpose and oneness of heart as we go into the world and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to every region and every race. A people that is divided against itself will surely fall, but a people united by a common foundation, motivated by the same purpose, will be strengthened. We look to You, as our Head, to impassion us with the desire to work together in rescuing the perishing as we trample down the forces of evil. Your redemptive love binds our hearts together in perfect unity. Jesus, we praise Your name and we thank and pray in that same name. Amen They Will Know That We Are Christians By Our Love We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord And we pray that all unity may one day be restored And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love They will know we are Christians by our love We will work with each other, we will work side by side We will work with each other, we will work side by side And we'll guard each one's dignity and save each one's pride And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love They will know we are Christians by our love By our love, by our love And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love They will know we are Christians by our love We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand And together we'll spread the news that God is in our land And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love They will know we are Christians by our love By our love, by our love And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love They will know we are Christians by our love

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the cross. Lord, the question has been asked much as of late. "If I was there at Golgotha would I try, should I try, to stop the Roman soldiers from killing my Savior. Lord, I don't think anyone could stop the horrific events that took place, from the arrest, till Jesus said "It is finished," accept for You. Without the shed blood of Your Son, Jesus, we are weighed down by the shackles of sin. It spreads as a disease from our hearts to our minds separating us from our Creator and making us a bond slave to Satan. Thank You for sending Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God, who by His intense love and sacrificial death, freed us from the sin that ensnared us. He turned our mourning into dancing as He lifted our condemnation and replaced it with eternal hope. Lord, help us to boldly share the gospel to the world. In the precious name of Jesus we ask and thank. Amen Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word. Lord, I thank You for guiding me as I share Your Word and thank You for all the godly messengers who faithfully feed Your children by diligently teaching the whole counsel of Your Holy Word. Lord, some attend church with an intense spiritual hunger, while others may come out of a sense of duty or to be seen by others, as I shared last Sunday and as Jesus taught. Lord Jesus, give us a hungry heart that yearns for more of You so that our lives are set apart to honor and glorify You in all that we do. May we be attentive to Your life-transforming truths as You impart them to our hearts in our personal devotions and through Your anointed messengers. In the name of Jesus I pray and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for Your peace that rules my heart. Lord, You have placed Your children in a world where people push and shove to be first. Because of their self-importance they clamor for recognition and will stop at nothing until they get what they want in life, even if it means hurting others in the process. But You’ve called us to view life from a perspective that considers others as important as ourselves. We are to have a humble attitude that puts You first, others second, and ourselves last in everything we do. In our humanity this is impossible, but as we are being transformed into the likeness of Jesus, we become more like Him. Our love and consideration for others grows and we apply the golden rule to our lives where we do to others as we would have them do to us. May this relationship rule guide us as we make decisions that affect others and ourselves. Help us to have the mind of Christ in all that we do. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy and Your grace. Lord, I know we have all sinned. I also know and believe that Christ took upon Himself the iniquity of us all and was made sin for us. My Lord, may our spirit be like that of David’s who acknowledged his sin to You and did not cover up his iniquity. You forgave the guilt of his sin and cleansed him from unrighteousness. You forgive every sinner who confesses his or her need to be saved from their sin, and You forgive every believer who acknowledges that they have sinned and come short of Your glory. Thank You for Your amazing grace that brings about our spiritual cleansing. Through the precious blood of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, guide us in all areas of our life. Lord,it is far too easy to become earthbound with our affections, aspirations, and accumulations. Yet, as we place our faith in You and follow the Scriptures, we learn that our hope is not fully realized through our earthly pilgrimage and certainly the best awaits us on the other side. Help us to find the joy of living here below as we store up our true lasting treasures in heaven where we will fully experience the eternal, unbounded blessings that await us as we enter Paradise. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your word says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. In reading this verse and so many other verses about how You made us and even knew us before we were born, should really get our attention. Lord, we thank You for the privilege of working with our hands and engaging our minds. Work is ordained by you and carried out in our homes and places of employment. Help us to make a positive difference as we live out our Christian testimony while diligently performing our work duties. There is no perfect workplace, yet we as people who seek to honor You, will be able to deal with less than ideal circumstances as we do our work primarily for You, knowing that it is from You that we receive the reward You grant to those who are diligent and faithful. Lord, let all our speech, actions and our everything be done as if we are doing it for You. In Jesus name we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, There is no greater name than that of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. It is because of the great love and His willingness to take our sins upon Yourself that we we are redeemed from the curse of the law. Lord, it is because Your sacrifice that we can "come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need". Thank You Jesus. It is truly amazing and the greatest news of all time for all generations. Father, we want to be passionate as Christ’s ambassadors since You are making Your appeal through us reaching out to others with the greatest message of all time: “Be reconciled to God.” When we were lost, broken, and without hope Christ reconciled us to You who sought us, repaired our broken lives, and gave us eternal hope. Where would we be without Jesus! Thank You for receiving us, redeeming us, and reconciling us to Yourself. Thank You for Your perfect plan. and we thank You Jesus and we pray in Your name. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being patient with us. Thank You for giving us a manual to guide us in our walk with You. Lord this morning this verse spoke to me. I know I have read it hundreds of times. “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say on the Lord.” The Psalmist tells us twice in the same sentence to wait on You. We’re not to doubt, be despondent or give up in despair, but instead we are to go forward in faith, trusting You completely, since “no eye has seen, and no ear has heard what the Lord has in store for those who wait for Him.” Help us to endure the wait and enjoy our faith walk with You. Lord we magnify Your name. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray and ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, You gave us each emotions. We see that Jesus also had emotions, as He was a man. We see scripture that says He wept. We even see scriptures where He was angry. Lord, when we are angry, You tell us to not sin. There are times when it is appropriate to be angry such as when we see a person harming another individual; when we have been lied to; or when we have been unfairly accused. These circumstances along with many others stir up strong emotions with us and often require a response to the matter. Keep us prayerful as we are quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. May we respond as Jesus did to His many accusers, though innocent, He spoke not a word in His defense. And may we be careful not to keep a scoreboard of other’s offenses. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus who forgives us and does not count our sins against us, but rather took them upon Himself. Amen. |
