Heavenly Father, we are a blessed people; no longer slaves to sin, we are Your children. In fact you call the fallen ones Your own. In addition to freedom from slavery to sin on this side we are promised eternal bliss on the other side, permanent residency in heaven where we will have no more need for attitude adjustments. When we fix our hearts on all that we have in this life and the next we no longer dwell upon that which we don’t have. In fact we’ll think about the promises in Scripture that teach us the very best is yet to come and it will not be taken away from us. We’re grateful to You, our benevolent God, who gives all good things to us, Your children. In the name of Yeshua we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, there are many paths from which we can choose to walk. But I choose to walk the illumined path You have laid out for me, for it is the righteous path. It may take me through valleys that are overshadowed by doubt, discouragement, danger, or difficulty, but You uphold me with Your hand as You lead me one step at a time. Thank You for Your daily provision! We pray the overwhelming love of God overwhelms each reader during the overwhelming situations in life. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, we know that pursuing friendship with the world puts us at enmity with You. The world which we inhabit is perishable and sin-based, while the heaven we pursue is imperishable and free of sin. Help us, in the daily choices we make, to keep pressing on the upward way, gaining new heights in our Christian walk, as we stretch toward the goal of the prize of the high calling we have in Christ Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are so thankful that we can call upon You in this age of lawlessness. Because Your Spirit resides within us we will not be overcome by evil, but we will overcome evil with good. We will also keep the biblical perspective that instructs us, “We ought to obey God rather than man”. May the principles from Scripture inform our thoughts and motivate our hearts to obey You, our loving Savior, by keeping the moral laws detailed in Scripture foremost in our mind, lest we too easily embrace the man-made laws that are an affront to Your prescribed law. Even so, we desire to be Your instrument of mercy and peace to those around us. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, we do extol Your work and praise You with our lips, with our voice and with our devotion to follow You all the days of our life. We stop and consider Your great wonders and mighty works as we acknowledge You to be the Creator of all things. Your ways are perfect and beyond human understanding. It is all the more reason why we must rely on Your guidance and not lean on our own understanding. Today we acknowledge You in all our ways and ask You to direct our paths and increase our understanding in the name of Jesus. Amen. Father in heaven, we pray for our fathers on earth, our grandfathers, husbands and sons that they will pursue godliness above all earthly pursuits. We pray that they will resist the temptation to fall into the devil’s trap where foolishness and harmful desires will plunge them to ruin resulting in disappointment, loss and heartache. Help them to flee from all this and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Help them to lead their families in the good fight of faith as they take hold of eternal life. Make them strong in their faith so that they throw away anything that hinders their spiritual walk or that of their wife or children. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, may my life be marked by faithfulness and integrity. I know that these character traits are not developed over a short period of time but over the duration of my life, most especially during the challenging times. Obedience does bring blessing and it does bring eternal reward. Help me not to become weary in doing good, for at the proper time that You have ordained, I will reap a harvest if I do not give up. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You’ve given us tremendous responsibility as we’re commanded to train and instruct our children in the ways of the Lord. There are many times when we’ve failed to be faithful in our godly duties as parents. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed and unable to deal with the challenges our children present and even more so in this age of modern technology. Lord, help us to sow seeds of Christian instruction so that we will cultivate children who grow into fruitful, godly adults. Help us not to despair or give up in the present battles we face with our children, for in due time we will reap great blessing from our labor, as we continue to trust You in these matters. In Your name Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father of All Comfort, I look to You for consolation and peace most especially during times of turmoil. Incredibly Your supernatural peace does not depend on the physical circumstances seen by my eyes or heard by my ears. You raise me up out of the gloom of despair as I place my hope not in the visible circumstances, but rather in You who renews my strength. You enable me to soar on wings like eagles far above the troubling circumstances that weigh me down. Keep my eyes, my ears and my heart lifted up to the heavens where Your divine presence combats the assaulting storms of life. I lift up all my brothers and sisters who are storm weary, asking You to renew their strength as You help them to endure the trials of life this day. Your comfort is inexhaustible and Your compassion overflows. Thank You, Father and we pray this in the name of Yeshua. Amen. Heavenly Father, the Scriptures asks, “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” That’s such an important thought-provoking question since we know there are only two paths we must choose from which gives room for two contrasting views. We can enter through the narrow gate which is small and the way is narrow that leads to life. Few look for this path so they can easily miss this narrow entrance to eternal life. Sadly, the vast majority enter the gate that is wide and the way that is broad that leads to destruction. We must be in alliance with the one we walk alongside lest we clash with conflicting viewpoints and contrasting goals. Grant us discernment, discipline, and direction when choosing our life partner, business associate or any other person in which we must unite in making decisions. For those who are presently unequally yoked grant them grace to live carefully, watching their lives and doctrine closely, so that they will positively influence their partner, co-worker or family member to consider the claims of the Gospel which may ultimately lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It’s in His name that we pray, Amen. |
