Heavenly Father, I come to You this morning hungry for more of You and expecting in faith that You will be with me during the duties that need to be done today. Lord, when I think of my life I am so very grateful that our family roots are not the sole source of who we are nor does it dictate what we can accomplish. Our spiritual roots, because of our well-grounded faith in You, goes much deeper and spreads much broader. We are able to accomplish the impossible and overcome life’s difficulties because our roots are connected to the Miracle Worker. May the water of Your Holy Spirit quench our thirst and the spiritual food from Your inspired Holy Word satisfy our hunger causing us to grow in spiritual maturity. We remain safe and securely rooted in You, Lord, though the winds and storms may shake us from time to time. It is in You that we live and move and have our being! In Jesus name I ask and pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, help us to be energized by the flaming fire of Your Holy Spirit as You reside in our hearts. May we be wholehearted in what we do for You making the most of every opportunity to give faithful witness to Your work in our lives and in those to whom we reach for Christ. Keep us from growing weary in service for You so that we will see a bountiful harvest in this life but most especially in the life to come. In Jesus name we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, several places in Your Word we can see that there is a real enemy that will try to steer any believer in Christ, including Jesus Himself from living a life for You. We can be devoured by the evil that surrounds us if we don’t walk in the light of Your truth. We want to walk in the true wisdom that comes from heaven, not in the flawed wisdom that comes from the world. Help us, Lord to make the most of every opportunity to stand up for divine truth in our speech and in our actions and even our thoughts. We want to be the light that shines forth revealing the creeping darkness of our land so that we can show others the way to eternal life. In the name of Your dear Son, Jesus, we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You in the precious name of Jesus. With my whole heart I have sought You and made You my Lord and Savior. I have turned my eyes away from worthless things so that my life is preserved here and now and for all eternity. And yet there is a tug of war that battles within me from time to time as I journey here below; the lure of that which satisfies the flesh vs. that which builds me up in the spirit. May Your grace bind my wandering heart so that during times of temptation I hold steady and resist the enemy who seeks to endanger and lead me astray. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I am thankful for Your Word. The design of the Gospel is to teach men not only what they should believe, but also how they should live. It is Your will that all Your children should be holy in heart and pure in body for “He that calleth us is holy.” Lord we can see through scriptures that the Christian, should not be in ignorance of the blessed hope, the return of Christ to resurrect the dead in Him and translate living believers, for this is designed to be the greatest comfort of believers. We see in 1 Thessalonians that the Lord Jesus Himself will come to to gather those that believed in Him. He is coming bringing with Him the spirits of those who have died in Him. Their bodies shall be raised and united then with their spirits. At the same time, living believers will be instantly changed and caught up in clouds to be with Him. Hallelujah! We await Your return, Jesus and it is in Your name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, help me share the Word to all people that we need to be living in constant expectation of Christ’s return, and having all natural desires under Christ’s control. Christ’s coming will be sudden, overtaking many who are in the midst of their carnal security. and jollity, and bringing them destruction from which there will be no escape. Lord, help us to consider the way we live our lives; not as children of the dark, but as children of the light. May the light of Your Holy Spirit guide us in all that we do, so that You are glorified and our spirit is edified. As we read and meditate upon Your Word we are able to see what pleases You, In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, as Your Word says, "as we confess our sins we thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Help us to be honest enough to admit our sin, welcome Your cleansing, and invite the Holy Spirit to help us courageously deal with personal consequences from our sinful defiance. You are a gracious Father who does not cast us down in our failures, but You uphold us with Your gracious and loving hand. In Jesus name we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, in the Bible, we are considered as sheep and You are our great owner. We the sheep of whose pasture we are by Your creation and You, have constituted Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Shepherd. Lord, as I have cared for a large flock of sheep, I understand some of the responsibilities. Jesus as our Shepard, has all that care of His people that a good shepherd has of his flock. In His care, the true believer is eternally secure, for the hand that was wounded and the hand of our Creator close in omnipotent, double grasp upon him. Father, thank You for Jesus who came that we might have life and have it in abundance. We’re grateful for Your grace that teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. We’re thankful that Jesus gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own. We realize that the one who sows to please the sinful nature from that nature reaps destruction, therefore we choose to sow to please the spiritual nature and from that nature reap eternal life. Keep us faithful in doing so. In the name of Jesus we ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, many of us grew up with moms and dads who not only taught us right from wrong, but modeled it daily in their relations with family and others. I was one of those children that had parents that brought us three siblings up with morals, purpose and manners. Today I see so many that are growing up without Biblical models or Scriptural instruction which has brought about much confusion about what is right and wrong, true or false. Lord, the power of Your inspired Holy Word reveals absolute truth and is taught by examples of people such as Daniel. He didn’t allow fear, pride, or earthly ambitions to compromise his integrity. Even as Daniel stood the test while continually overcoming the tempter, I pray that You, Father, would help us to prove our loyalty to You when faced with daily temptations, especially the temptation to just go with the flow rather than to go with the guidance of Scripture. May our resolve to do good greatly lessen our temptation to do evil. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we can see throughout the Bible that order is important to You and should be in how we live out our lives also. Your order of the universe is ever dependable and precise, never reliant on the will nor power of the humans You created. The morning also brings us word of Your unfailing love, and especially so for those who put their trust in You. We seek to be unwavering in our faith and confident in Your plans for our life as we stand on Your unending promises. Even as we daily experience Your goodness and faithfulness we will be sustained by Your constant presence and guidance in our life since You promise never to leave nor forsake us. We rejoice in Your lovingkindness as we experience Your tender compassions daily. It is because of Your unceasing mercy that we are not consumed, but rather we are saved through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Your faithfulness enables us to rest in Your unfailing love; we are restored by Your forgiveness; we are rescued from our folly; and we are reminded that You will fulfill Your purpose in our lives through Your eternal, enduring love. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. |
