In Heavenly Father, as I live out my time here on this earth, I’m so glad that I belong to You. You hold my right hand and guide me with Your continuous presence and daily bread which is leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but You and I desire You more than anything on earth. My health may fail and my spirit may even grow weak, but Father, You remain the strength of my heart and You are my portion forever. My Refuge, my Fortress and my Deliverer, I will joyfully tell of Your mighty works as I seek to finish well until You call me to my eternal home. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Your Word admonishes us to “Contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.” There are many obstacles that will lead us astray as we contend for the faith if our eyes become fixed on the obstacles. Instead we want to fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who set His eyes on the throne of God, enabling Him to endure the cross, its shame and agony. Fix our eyes on the goal of heaven where all will finally be made perfectly clear when we see Jesus face to face. In the meantime sustain us by Your mercy, grow our faith, and help us to take as many as possible with us to our eternal home in heaven. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is in Your great name that we, the body of Christ come together and anchor our hope. In Your powerful name we cast down all that pertains to evil as we also raise up a standard that goes before us in our battle against the forces of darkness. We lift our hearts to You, gracious Father, seeking forgiveness and favor. As You view our troubled, sin-ridden nation we ask once again for mercy, for a visitation of Your Holy Spirit to overshadow, convict and heal our land, to renew our spirit so that it reflects the Spirit of Christ. Deepen our devotion and loyalty to You and the causes that are dear to Your heart. Do not give us over to our sins, as we deserve, but give us, instead, over to passionate prayer, a heart of repentance, and an obedient spirit that moves Your heart. “May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in You.” We pray that Your love will not only fill but overflow in our lives so that it is visible to those whom we seek to influence for the Kingdom. In the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, doctrinal error or disobedience to truths expounded upon in the Word of God will lead us off course. There are many situations that contribute to our getting off the straight and narrow path of righteousness, if we’re not wholly intentional in denying ourselves, taking up our cross daily, and following in the ways of Christ. There are tremendous disappointments we will experience, whether it’s related to our work situation, our family, our church, financial restraints, our relationships with others, health crises or painful loss. Through it all we know that You will lead us daily and give us grace for every trial if we just stay the course. We praise You Jesus and in Your name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, because of Your supreme love for me I am not consumed by Your wrath nor do I receive the deserved penalty for my sin. Instead You have forgiven even me, cared for me and loved me so much You that You sent Jesus to lay His life down for even me that I might be raised up to newness of life. As my old nature is crucified with Him it is no longer my sinful nature that rules, but Christ’s spiritual nature who lives in me expressing His love, goodness and righteousness through my words, thoughts and deeds that glorify Him. May I be as a sweet aroma to You today. In the precious name of Jesus, my Lord and my Savior. Amen. Heavenly Father, we want to be like the trees planted by streams of water that remain vibrant, healthy, and growing in spite of drought, storm and the extremes of the winds and temperatures. As we are rooted and built up in You we continue to grow, mature, and remain firm when the raging storms of life seek to topple our faith. No matter what we’re dealt we continue to live in You, rooted and built up, strengthened in our faith, and overflowing with thankfulness for all that You are to us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You speak to us through the prophet Isaiah, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God”. Though this passage is somewhat general we know that You deal with the specifics in our lives as we encounter personal difficulties and quandaries. How comforting it is to know that You are alive forevermore and not only go before us, but You walk alongside us in our times of pain and anxiety, our confusion and loss, in our uncertainties. Father, there are so many experiences or circumstances in life that instill fear in our hearts. But we must not cringe in fear because Your oversight assures us that things will turn out for good in the end, whether in this life or the life to come. Though Jesus’ followers were devastated when He hung limp on the cross You had a powerful plan all along and it turned out for the good of all, even those responsible for His death. Father, we seek You believing that You hear us and will deliver us from our unhealthy fears. We thank You for it in advance, through the precious name of Jesus. Amen. Father, no one who comes to You through Jesus goes away unable to find reconciliation with You, for You save completely and to the uttermost. Because Your Son lives and intercedes for us we have renewed hope daily for the circumstances of our lives and for the people that are dear to our hearts. Lord, as I brought up last night with another brother who was sharing with his congregation, how can preachers preach a pre trib rapture, when there are thousands being massacred for their faith in Christ? We lift up the families who have been slaughtered by Islamic terrorists all over the world. We also pray for those who survived but are dealing with injuries, from minor to life altering. Though these circumstances are so very dreadful, we know that Your redemptive and healing power will result in people giving testimony of Your faithfulness even in the midst of such horror. May people be saved and the enemy be defeated, to the dismay of those who wish harm upon followers of Christ. Fill our hearts anew with hope, encouragement and endurance as we stand upon Your Word and fully trust You to guide our lives this day, in the good times and in the bad. In Jesus name. Amen. Jesus, Your mission on earth in obedience to the Father, ultimately led to Your obedience of death on the cross. But on the third day You defied death and rose to life again. Your resurrected body was identified by the nail scars visible in Your hands and Your feet. Nails driven into Your innocent body by our sinful hearts, for when we were dead in our trespasses and sins You died for us, the ungodly. How undeserving we are of Your sacrificial death and the Father’s gift of eternal life. With humble hearts we receive this tremendous gift of salvation with hearts of gratitude and rejoicing. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Jesus who entered the Courtroom of Justice with me as I sought favor with You. I went to relinquish my sins but the only problem is that I had no defense or payment to offer in exchange for them. I entered the Courtroom dressed in my very best as I presented to You my righteous acts but one by one I realized they were seen as filthy, crimson rags. They were like leaves that shrivel up when detached from the vine. But then Your Son, Jesus, my Advocate, took His robe of righteousness and lovingly placed it over my heavy shoulders. It was at that glorious moment that I realized You looked away from my filthy, crimson rags that Jesus removed and looked upon my new robe of righteousness. I was able to give You nothing but a heart full of crimson stains but You exchanged it for a surrendered heart that is now white as snow. I am wholly grateful that when You look at me You see Jesus’ righteousness. He paid the full price, He paid it all. I owe Him everything and it will take all my remaining days on earth and all eternity in heaven to express my love and gratitude for His incomparable love and sacrifice toward me. It's in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |
