Heavenly Father, we are grateful to be among the redeemed who triumph in victory over sin and seek to please You in all things. You have called us out from the influences of the world and yet You have also strategically placed us among those in the world who have yet to bow their knee in surrender to Your lordship. So many are searching but have not yet found the answer their heart is longing for; a deep, abiding peace. This can only come from a relationship with You, Father. You heal the broken-hearted, You forgive and restore the fallen one. Help us to freely share that life-changing message with one who so desperately needs to hear it. In the precocious Jesus we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we don’t always know where our present steps will take us on life’s journey, but we do know they lead us to heaven as we walk with You. Our steps here may lead to cold, dark mountains or deep valleys. Crooked paths and rough terrain may be part of the journey, but ultimately we will rest where the steps of Jesus end at heaven’s throne. There we will no longer have questions about our future, for we know that we will spend eternity forever worshiping You as we give You glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving. Give us peace and joy for our journey here below and heavenward anticipation for our future inheritance. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen. Heavenly Father, we pray for Holy Spirit power to enable us to give godly counsel based upon Your inerrant and unchanging Scripture. It is not from the media, current polls, or popular personalities that we form our opinions. We acknowledge that Satan is the god of this age, plotting to confuse, distort and mislead. Our confidence is firmly established in the inspiration of the Holy Scriptures which are able to make us wise for salvation. They inspire, teach, convict, correct, comfort and model for us the way we’re to live our earthly life. May we never sugar coat Your commands because we want to please others who differ with Your authority. We want to honor Your Word in all we say and do. As we look in the mirror of truth, help it to reflect this godly intent. If the reflection shows otherwise, help us to make the necessary changes in accordance with Your Word. In Your name, Jesus, we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are a good, good Father. When You created us, You didn't make us a puppet so that we had to do whatever You wanted us to do. No, You gave us a free will. You let us make up our own minds. There are many subjects we dabble in just trying to find out if it is worthy of our pursuit. Sometimes it’s harmless and may even lead to our life’s calling, career, or hobby. But there are other areas we are wise never to dabble in; areas that can overpower us and bring about destruction, powerlessness, and even death. We choose not to just dabble in Christianity but rather delve deeply into the teachings and life of Christ Jesus. For He is worthy of our total devotion even to the point of being willing to lay down our life for the cause of Christ. I choose to follow Jesus and follow hard after Him. My prayer for mysel and all that read and stand in agreement of this prayer, rather than dabble we choose to devote ourselves fully to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You make it possible for us to move from defeat to victory with Your many provisions and promises revealed throughout Scripture; the victory verses that show us how to be strong in our weakness, how to exercise self-control in temptation, how to trust instead of doubt, how to be consoled in the midst of our sorrow. And in our death we find life everlasting. You are truly our all in all! So we look to You for victory as You supply everything we need and You will never leave us. Thank You and in Jesus name we ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, You guide me with your instruction and at the end you will receive me with honor. What else do I have in heaven but you? Since I have you, what else could I want on earth? My mind and my body may grow weak, but You are my strength; You, Lord are all I ever need. You make it possible for us to move from defeat to victory with Your many provisions and promises revealed throughout Scripture; the victory verses that show us how to be strong in our weakness, how to exercise self-control in temptation, how to trust instead of doubt, how to be consoled in the midst of our sorrow. And in our death we find life everlasting. You are truly our all in all! So we look to You for victory as You supply everything we need. In Jesus name I ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have shown me clearly through scriptures and given me examples that of a real enemy that wants to devour us. We know that Satan is a thief who “comes only to steal and kill and destroy” and millions fall victim to his enticements. You created us to have an emotional desire for physical and sexual intimacy and in Your perfect plan it is to be fulfilled in a marriage covenant. Knowing our inclination to sin, help us to carefully lay boundary lines to keep us from feeding lust since it can spread like gangrene. Forgive us where we have resented, ignored, or disobeyed Your truths in this area of our lives and help us in dealing with the consequences of our disobedience.Thank You Jesus for coming so that we might have life in all its fullness. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, In Your Word You have called us to be a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people set apart to show forth the praises of Christ who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. Since You have brightened our darkness we will not conceal it in the privacy of our own home or car, but we will shine the light of Christ wherever we are; in the marketplace, in the business place, in the neighborhood, in the voting booth, in church and wherever we have opportunity to bring forth light in this world of darkness. I will not be ashamed of my Savoir and I know we can make a difference and want to do so. We want to witness faithfully through Jesus Christ our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen Heavenly Father, what tremendous comfort the Scriptures bring when I consider the uncertainties of life. About the time I get comfortable or think I’ve figured out what the future holds I am thrown a ringer. I’m so grateful for passages of reassurance such as Romans 8:28 that reminds me You’re working on my behalf even though evil is prevalent and I’m often affected by its presence. As a blood-bought child of Yours, You have called me to work Your purpose and will for my life. What You have purposed for me cannot be thwarted though the enemy may stalk me or make me his target. After all, since You are for us, who can be against us. Help me to receive Your deep abiding peace even in the midst of difficult and perplexing situations, because I know that You use even those circumstances for our long-range good. May our trusting response to these undesirable sufferings prove to believers and unbelievers alike that we are becoming more and more like Your Son, Jesus Christ and I pray this prayer in His name. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are called to hear Your Word, but also to be doers of Your Word. The love and care expressed to us through Jesus our Lord compels us to express similar love and care to others in need. All who walk in Your ways must go through many hardships, but the blow that comes from such hardships is cushioned and the duration of pain is lessened by those who lovingly reach out to us in tender loving care, as they help bear our burden. Their heartfelt prayers, loving words and kind expressions remind us that You have not forgotten us nor forsaken us. Your loving Spirit descends to us through human endeavors directed toward our need, lifting us from the neighboring pits of despair and discouragement. In Jesus’ name we press on toward the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. |
