Heavenly Father, You supply us with many opportunities to be a witness for Your kingdom. We must make the most of these opportunities to be light and salt in this darkened world. Since our lives are the “only Bible that some people read” we must be careful of what we say and do. May our attitudes reflect that of Christ and our words bring truth, hope and guidance to those traveling on the broad road that leads to destruction. By the power of Your Holy Spirit we can make a difference to those whose path we cross today. In Jesus name we ask and thank. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we read from Your Word where You directs us not to get drunk on wine, but to be filled instead with the Spirit, speaking to ourselves in songs, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in our hearts toward You. You use these songs to teach us about Your truths, remind us of Your promises, comfort us in our grief, and refresh us in our spirit. No voice that is weak, hoarse, off-tempo, or out of pitch is rejected by You when we offer what we have with glad and sincere hearts. Help us not to be intimidated by those who have musical giftings, for our “joyful noise” can be a glorious symphony of praise when blended with thankful hearts to You through our musical worship. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have given us the greatest example of a humble spirit in the person of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who had nowhere to lay His head. He went to where the needs were rather than the place where comforts awaited Him. This is most especially expressed when He gave up His position in heaven where Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with You something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, He was made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! From the heights of the heavens to the depths of the earth we submit our will and our attitudes to Your conformity through Christ our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we glorify Your name today and everyday. We proclaim loudly that You are the true living God. Lord, as we confess our sins we thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help us to be honest enough to admit our sin, welcome Your cleansing, and invite the Holy Spirit to help us courageously deal with personal consequences from our sinful defiance. You are a gracious Father who does not cast us down in our failures, but You uphold us with Your gracious and loving hand.Thank You our loving Father and in Jesus name we ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the great deliverance and transfer that took place when we surrendered our hearts to You. You delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of Your Son in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Now we walk in the light of Jesus and His kingdom which is filled with righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Help us never to lose perspective of the great rescue and the changes You brought into our lives, otherwise we may be swayed back to our old way of life and return to the darkness from which we escaped. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I live out my time here on this earth, I’m so glad that I belong to You. You hold my right hand and guide me with Your continuous presence and daily bread which is leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but You and I desire You more than anything on earth. My health may fail and my spirit may even grow weak, but Father, You remain the strength of my heart and You are my portion forever. My Refuge, my Fortress and my Deliverer, I will joyfully tell of Your mighty works as I seek to finish well until You call me to my eternal home. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, the teaching of Your Word is like a hammer that breaks away the clumps of hardness in our hearts; our stubbornness, pride, and rebellion. When we read and apply Your principles they open our blinded eyes, guide us out of darkness into light and put a fire in our spirit; a fire that doesn’t burn out but empowers us to live for You all the days of our life. We thank You for the fire of Your Spirit. It is in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father I am so thankful that I have a Savior, because if not for what Jesus did for me, I would have been lost and separated from you forever.Thank You Jesus. Lord, help me to determine in my heart that Your words, “Follow Me” will far surpass the importance of any other mission I am called to in my life time. I pray that my goals, achievements, and ambitions never conflict with the major calling You have placed on my life. Lord, may all that I pursue establish for me a firm foundation where my faith will grow and where I bring glory to Your name, both in life and in death In Jesus name I ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, as the mountains of snow in my yard is melting and I am getting glimpses of my garden area, I think of planting time and how much I enjoy watching what You have created. I consider this world and all its fullness we are blessed by the abundance of beauty – fields of daisies, the rolling hillsides, the great and small bodies of water, the sandy sea shores, the giant oaks, mountain ranges so magnificent they’re viewed for hundreds of miles, landscapes splashed with every imaginable shape and color. These views and far more than the eye can see or hands can touch are all works of Your sovereign, creative power. Yet You entrust to us soil, seeds, and plantings with which we can cultivate, plant, water, trim, and grow fruit and vegetables for our food substance and ornamentals for our pleasure. You water the earth and raise the sun each day. We expect such things, but it’s also like a pat on the back for those of us who enjoy seeing our laborious efforts in planting spring to life and give back to us sustenance, nutrition, and beauty. Though this world is not our home, it’s the only place we’ll travel before we reside in heaven, so we want to be good stewards of what You have entrusted to us. Thank You for it, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your are an amazing and such a powerful God. I will highly praise you, my God, the King. I will bless Your name forever and ever. I will bless You every day. I will praise Your name forever and ever. The LORD is great, and He should be highly praised. His greatness is unsearchable. Even the winds and waves recognize You as Creator and obey the voice of the Master. Your Word is a lighthouse that directs us safely toward heaven when the furious waves swirl about us and the water rises up to our necks. I confess to You that my doubts rise up when Your voice is silent. In these kinds of circumstances I begin to wonder if You really do care. Instead of questioning Your care for me, help me to prove my faith by trusting You even when You are silent. I want to persevere in prayer and understand Your overall plan in these matters that concern me. And when I don’t understand Your plan help me to trust You because faith that cannot be tested is faith that cannot be trusted. Keep us firmly anchored in Your loving promises, remembering that if it matters to me, it matters to You. You’ll hold me up as I tread above the troubling waters and swim to safety. Or You will command the waters to descend. Either way, with Your guidance and strength, I will endure to the very end, by Your merciful hand. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. |
