Heavenly Father, there are those that think that everything that happens is Your will. Lord, in this world,in some of our homes, or our communities, there is so much to distract us as we start our heavenward journey, that we must settle once for all that we won’t return to our former way of life or the world philosophies we once held or endorsed.Lord, disappointments, unanswered prayers, loved ones who oppose us, spiritual lethargy, temptations and trials pull at our hearts and tempt us to look back just like the Israelites who were freed from slavery. They who greatly rejoiced at their new found freedom found themselves longing to return after the going got tough. Give us strength and firm resolve to plow through the hard soil and bumpy rocks of life all the while fixing our eyes on our eternal dwelling place as we hold unswervingly to the hope we profess in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me today and guiding me. Lord thank You for guiding my thoughts and tongue today. Precious Jesus, we greatly rejoice knowing that as our physical body is wearing down our spiritual body is being renewed daily moving us closer and closer to the moment we receive an eternal glory that far outweighs the heartaches, losses, trials, injustices, and suffering of this life. Keep our eyes not on that which passes, but that which passeth not away. Help us to envision the glory of heaven where there will be no need for a sun or moon for Jesus’ glory will be the light of heaven. We can hardly wait but then of course You choose the appointed hour, so until then we’ll look not to our temporal troubles but to Your eternal glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; Lord You are my rock, in Whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Father, as I draw near to You in reading Your Word and in lifting my voice to You this day there is a renewal in my spirit. I recognize that my joy and satisfaction will not be determined by the events of this day, but by the state of my heart. When human love is fleeting and disappointments arise help me to look beyond my present circumstance. As the Psalmist wrote, “Earth has nothing I desire besides You”, I also look to You for ongoing fulfillment to meet my every longing. Thank you that Your joy does not last for a season, but for a lifetime on earth and an eternity in heaven. In Jesus name, Amen. Heavenly Father, my Creator, Redeemer, healer, Savior, Lord, King, provider. You, are so good. Lord, we thank You that according to Your pleasure and good will You chose to adopt us, to make us Your sons and daughters through Christ Jesus. We were predestined to receive this tremendous blessing and so we say, “Thank You!” May our lives along with our message bring honor to You whose name we bear as we go forth into the lost world where the vast majority needs to hear the message of salvation. They need to know that they are loved and cared for. We want to be Your hand extended to those who are hungry and looking for the answers we have found as Your sons and daughters. We give praise and thanksgiving through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have the whole world in Your hand. We look at thing here on earth and at times things looks disastrous But You Lord, have been and always will be in control. Lord, I feel such deep gratitude when I consider how patient You are with my frequent shortcomings. You don’t toss me aside and move on to a more deserving person, but You continue to come alongside me and Your Word continues to renew my hope day by day. When I’m tempted to think that my spouse, my child, grandchild, or my friend doesn’t deserve another chance I’m reminded of Your continual forbearance with me. May I be forgiving even as You continually forgive me. May Your divine grace bring the virtues of forgiveness, forbearance and love together in perfect unity so that Your peace dwells in my heart daily. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father I rejoice in You, the Great I AM. Lord, one of my favorite parts in Your word is where You show how forgiving You really are. My Lord Jesus, You have shown us the greatest example of loyalty when Peter denied You at the critical hour prior to Your crucifixion. It is so encouraging to know that Peter was forgiven, reinstated, and empowered to be a great messenger of the Gospel. As we follow Your example we will be forgiving, loyal, and dependable. We’ll also recognize that there are times when our friends will fail us. When they do, remind us that we have disappointed our friends at times as well. Help us to be loyal servants, lending companionship, support, strength, and direction to our brother or sister in Christ. It is in Your name that we pray. Amen. |
