Heavenly Father, our life is like a vapor. We are here today and gone very soon. As we get older, time seems to go by quicker and quicker. Father God, we’re reminded in scriptures to not to fix our attention, energy, and finances solely on our temporary brick and mortar dwelling here on earth, for it will one day perish or be taken from us. Likewise we are to regard our bodies as perishable, like that of earthly tents. Ever since Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil our bodies have taken on mortality. Our physical body is decaying day by day even though we try to delay the discomfort and limitations that accompany the aging process. But the most wonderful news for the believer is that these future resurrected bodies of ours are not built by human hands but by You, our Creator. And on Your appointed day our eternal spirit will be joined with our flesh that has taken on immortality. We will no longer groan from the painful anatomical effects of aging, for our new bodies will be perfect, disease free and ageless in the everlasting life. Knowing that such unending blessing lies in our future gives us hope and endurance for the ills of this present life. In Jesus name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank you for this day and I praise You that I can breath this morning and have another day to tell all just how good You are. Father God, though my mortal body is perishing and confined to this earthly dwelling, I rejoice in the energizing truth that my inward spiritual being is being refined and preparing me for an eternal dwelling where I will never grow weak, weary or old! Thank You for the renewing of my mind and my spirit as I hold fast to Your transforming truths this day. In the precious name of Jesus I thank and ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your grace and allowing Your Son to die for me so I could be redeemed. We like the thief on the cross have the chance to come and ask for forgiveness. To surrender our whole lives to Christ. Thank You Jesus. Father God, I thank you thank You for Jesus who died on the cross for our sins; past, present and future. It was but a short time that He was held under the power of death, but He will die no more. Jesus is alive forevermore, and we who express godly faith will live forever, because Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. As we believe on Him, though we may die a mortal death, we shall yet live an immortal life. Jesus holds the keys to the invisible world which will one day be made visible to all creation. He also holds the key to our heart’s door, but will only turn that key when we invite His entrance. Today we not only invite Jesus to enter but we welcome His residency as His Holy Spirit constantly abides with us guiding us into all truth. We love You, Father, and we come to You through Your Son, Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day and trust in You for watching over us and guiding us through everything we say and do. Lord, we join the apostle Paul in declaring, “Thanks be to God! You give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Though His crucifixion and resurrection took place over 2000 years ago the victory that resulted in Christ’s resurrection echoes throughout the ages. The resurrection power provided for believers has not diminished with time, but is proven daily in the lives of believers who live victorious, overcoming lives. We do this by looking daily to Jesus the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising its shame, and now sits at Your right hand. Someday we’ll experience 100% victory over our enemy when we meet Jesus face to face. Keep us faithful till then. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I pray for my circle of friends. Like Apostle Paul in his epistles, I am concerned about much of the body of Christ. Lord my plea to them would be: You received Christ Jesus the Lord, so continue to live as Christ's people. Sink your roots in Him and build on Him. Be strengthened by the faith that you were taught, and overflow with thanksgiving. Be careful not to let anyone rob you of this faith through a shallow and misleading philosophy. Such a person follows human traditions and the world's way of doing things rather than following Christ. All of God lives in Christ's body and God has made you complete in Christ. Christ is in charge of every ruler and authority. Hallelujah! Father God, when we’re tempted to be halfhearted in our vocational work or find ourselves bored by monotonous repetition help us to find creative means that will make us even more productive and content in our work assignments. May our conduct and attitude reflect values set forth in Scripture. Make us a blessing so that we bring joy to our co-workers, supervisors, and to the workplace in general. During times of personality conflict or when disagreements arise bring to our memory the Scripture that reminds us that our primary motivation for being a good worker is that we are serving You when we are diligent in our work. Not only in our service do we want to do our best but we also ask You to keep our attitudes in check and our words uplifting in the work place. Help us to be quick to see another co-worker’s need and respond accordingly. May we be slow to judge and find fault with others. Prompt us to be faithful in prayer for our employers, supervisors, co-workers, and the business in which we serve. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are grateful for our earthly human family; for our parents, siblings, and extended bloodline. So many warm memories and formative teachings have shaped us into the people we are today because of their personal sacrifices and loving infuence. We thank You also for our forever spiritual family who help us interpret life’s journey though an eternal scope. Because of our mutual love for Jesus we relate as a spiritual mother, father, brother or sister in a large family. We bear each other’s burdens, weeping with those who weep, rejoicing with those who rejoice. May we help to meet the needs of others which You have commissioned us to do, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. In the name of Your Son, Jesus, we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we read in Genesis about the first husband and wife. The Bible says, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Then it says "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Father God, one of the most wonderful gifts we can receive in this life is finding a loving and faithful companion who will walk beside us through life. One who will encourage us, be fully honest with us, forgive us when we fail, love us even in our unlovely state, one who will be strong when we are weak, lift us up when we fall down, lovingly tend to our needs when we’re sick and unable to care for ourselves, believe in us when we don’t believe in ourselves, one who will lead by example and help kindle spiritual growth in our lives. For all this and so much more we thank You, Father, for the loving companionship of our mate. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father,Your love always amazes me. I marvel every time I see You plan come to pass on situations I have struggled with. I am in awe of the depth of Your riches, both of wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable are Your judgments and unfathomable Your ways! For who has known Your mind, Lord, or who has been Your counselor? Or who has ever given to You, Father, that You should repay him? For from You and through You and to You are all things. It is to You, our loving and eternal Father, that we give praise and glory forever. In Jesus name we thank and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, for us that are saved we are united to Jesus Christ by the indwelling Spirit, through the redemptive work of the cross, and we know and believe in Him all spiritual blessings, including the assurance of an eternal inheritance and the working of His mighty power in and through him. Praise Jesus! Hallelujah! Father God, Your grace exceeds our greatest sin and reaches our deepest need. When we read the first chapter of Ephesians we are taken back by just how privileged we are to be chosen in Christ before the creation of the world, to be predestined and adopted as Your child through Him. Some of the richest and most tender portions of Scripture that disclose the extent of Your love are revealed to us from deplorable and unjust situations. What a wonderful reminder that Your work is not limited to ideal circumstances but You do an inward work within our heart no matter where we are or what difficulty we face. Because You lavish Your love on us we cannot contain it but must share it with those around us. Help us to do so freely and generously through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and for never leaving us nor forsaking us. Lord, as we examine the emotional pain of our lives, when it seems as though You’ve forgotten about us, we often start out with the question of “Why?” But in hindsight we realize that those struggles taught us practical truths that we could not learn overnight but over time, and that there truly was purpose in our pain and in Your timing. Help us to model integrity and steadfastness in the midst of the severe struggles and sweeping storms of life. Your eternal purpose is greater than our temporal pain. Remind us that it may not just be for our own instruction but for others looking on who may learn from our difficult experiences. In the precious name of Jesus we thank and ask. Amen. |
