Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. Heavenly Father, as we embrace the cross of Calvary and apply Christ’s redemptive blood to our hearts we find newness of life. We are no longer bound by the chains that fettered us to sin. What great liberty and boundless joy to know that our names are written down in heaven. If we set our hearts on this world we will wear down and lose the joy that comes with newness of life. But as we set our hopes and joys on the hereafter the joy of our salvation is ongoing, uplifting, and a testimony to all who seek answers that this world cannot provide. Thank You for raising Christ from the dead so that we can be redeemed and walk in newness of life! In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Lord, sometimes we don't understand Your plans, but we remember that it is always perfect. Jesus, Your sacrificial death on the cross became the tree of life for all who believe. It is the highest expression of love not only for those who bore the nails in Your hands and shouted “Crucify, crucify.” It is also for all generations who follow that were born under the sin curse. How grateful we are that You came from the glories of heaven to crush the head of the serpent, as You conquered death through Your miraculous resurrection so that we might be redeemed from the law of sin. We will partake of the tree of life in heaven because You partook of the cross of death here on earth. All glory and praise is due Your name Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, We praise You. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for His mercy endureth for ever. You are an awesome God. Lord Jesus, we can’t fully comprehend the depth of Your sacrificial death where we view sin at its worst testing redemption to its utmost. But we are living testimonies that redemption passed the test and, like the grave clothes left behind at the tomb, we leave behind the grave clothes of our former life dead in its transgressions and sins. Our hope is restored as we experience life through You, our resurrected Savior, who was the sin offering poured out for us. You gave all so that we could be forgiven and anticipate glorious eternal life beyond the grave. We thank You for it, Jesus and in Your name we ask and thank. Amen. Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Jesus, thank You for dying in my place on the Cross! Just like Barrabas, I am the truly guilty and You are the sinless One who demonstrated Your own love for me in that You died for me while I was dead in my trespasses and sins. Just as You were lifted up on the cross, and just as You were raised up from the dead, You lifted the weight of sin from my heavy shoulders when I turned to You in forgiveness. Not only did You pay off my sin debt but You also gave me the gift of eternal life. I am amazed when I consider Your extraordinary love for me. Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray. Amen. Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Heavenly Father, we are among the redeemed because Jesus accepted His mission on earth and wholly completed it. He drank from the bitter cup fully giving His all to provide forgiveness for our sins. We who have sought forgiveness are the redeemed and now have a mission to freely share the life-changing message of salvation with those who so desperately need to hear it. We ask this in Jesus name and through His power. Amen. Heavenly Father, You know everything about us. We can fool others, but you see right through us. Jesus, Your warned us that Satan seeks to agitate us like wholesome grain that is being sifted from worthless chaff. You know the chaff we cling to such as doubts, fears, half-heartedness, slothfulness and other harmful debris that weakens or destroys our faith and our testimony. Help us not to resent the trials and temptations of this life that act as a filter forcing us to give up that which is uncomely to the Christian character; that which holds us back instead of moving us forward keeping us steadfast in our faith. We thank You, Jesus, that You faithfully intercede for us, in the siftings and shakings of life. Lord of harvest, grant that we wholesome grain and pure may be. Praise You Jesus and we ask and thank You in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father,as I am reminded of scripture telling us how we should love like Jesus did and still does. Lord, help us to have the heart and motivation of the good Samaritan when he saw the helpless man along the way. Taking the time to stop and help surely wasn’t on his schedule that day nor were the stranger’s medical and lodging expenses written into the Samaritan’s budget. He didn’t consider these substantial factors to be an obstacle that would keep him from extending mercy to one in need. Father, help us to be Your hand extended reaching out to the needy, the sick, and the oppressed. Help us to be a willing vessel whom You can use to pour out healing, to mend the broken-hearted and to bind up their wounds. And, Father, when it is not within our ability, our resources, or our location to directly reach the one in need, prompt us to bring him or her before the throne in earnest prayer. We do it in Jesus name and for Your honor. Amen. Heavenly Father, he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, I am reminded today that no one is beyond the scope of Your redemptive power. Your amazing grace works wonders that are unexplainable by human understanding. Over and over You redeem the hearts of men and women, boys and girls whom others have given up on. You call us to be heavenly messengers to those without hope. Our words of support and godly instruction coupled with actions of love and belief in the unlovable ones of our society bring about remarkable change in their lives as well as our own, for You bless both the giver and receiver of Your divine grace. We give You thanks in Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for increasing my faith. I thank You, Lord for not giving up on me not so long ago when You were the last thought I would have had. Lord I pray You help us to be moved by the plight of those who are prepared to suffer and even lay down their lives for the sake of Christ. We remember them in our prayers and remember them as warriors of the faith, who for the joy set before them endured the suffering, shame and agony of their tormentors. As they endured the humiliation they also overcame by the blood of the Lamb. Many of them have received the crown of life in heaven that is rewarded to those martyred for their faith. On Coronation Day when we all gather in heaven we look forward to enjoying earnest fellowship with these tried and true saints of our faith who did not give up meeting together to worship You. Keep us faithful when tested by fire, we pray in Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, as we grow in our faith in You, we learn how to love others. We start having Your compassion over others. Lord, would You bring to our attention people who go unnoticed or those who are rejected by the “norms” of society. Put their face on our conscience so that we will take the time or make the necessary sacrifice to assure them that they are cared for. Show us how we can help shoulder their burdens. Prompt us to extend the loving touch that Jesus extended when He stretched out His hand and touched the leper mentioned in Mark’s Gospel. And remind us to faithfully pray for them which is an evidence of our genuine care. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. |
