Heavenly Father, we are in the world, but are not to be of the world. Lord, everywhere we look, we are barraged with colorful ads, luring commercials, and attractive displays trying to entice us to make grand purchases. When we go out in the public, there so many forces that try to to get us to lust. Lust of the eyes. Lust of the flesh. When “things” consume our soul they capture our passion, our wallets and our time and this is the enemies schemes to get us to take our focus off of You.. You have commanded us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness and all these things will be added unto us. As we do so we will be generous with our resources for the sake of the Kingdom. Help us to be generous with our time, talent, and treasures so that Your kingdom is enlarged and our investments have eternal dividend. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I have so much to be thankful to You for. You brought me to life and know me and love me. You have been being patient with me. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for me, shedding His innocent blood to cleanse me of my sins. His stripes that healed me. Lord, we who have tasted the goodness of the Word of God and the power it brings to our lives are hungry to know more and more of that which You desire to reveal to our hearts. We build upon the elementary truths of the gospel and move on to spiritual maturity partaking of solid food which teaches us about Your righteousness. As we regularly partake of solid food we are training ourselves to distinguish right from wrong, good from bad, light from darkness. We want to be zealous in our faith and untiring in our study of Your Holy Word. Praise Jesus, in Whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have given to Jesus the authority to execute judgment because He is the Son of Man. At His coming, at the close of the Great Tribulation, the blood of thousands of martyrs will be brought to light and to account. Lord, I marvel at the trace of Your hand in my life. If I were to speak of the “stones” of deliverance and provision the first and most important “stone” would be the moment You delivered me from darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of Your light. You took the uncertainties of my life and gave me an eternal purpose for living. I am so grateful for the “stone” of salvation that is the starting point for the path of stones where I’ve seen Your hand in my life as I’ve experienced Your deliverance, provision and faithfulness every step along my pilgrim journey. Step by step, Lord, You walk with me on this straight and narrow path that leads to life eternal. Thank You Lord. In the all powerful name of Jesus I thank and receive. Amen. Heavenly Father, Jesus warns us that Satan seeks to agitate us like wholesome grain that is being sifted from worthless chaff. You know the chaff we cling to such as doubts, fears, half-heartedness, slothfulness and other harmful debris that weakens or destroys our faith and ultimately our testimony. Help us not to resent the testings and temptations of this life that act as a filter forcing us to give up that which is uncomely to the Christian character; that which holds us back instead of moving us forward keeping us steadfast in our faith. We’re grateful for Jesus who faithfully intercedes for us, in the siftings and shakings of life. Above all, we’re grateful that no sin or failing on our part exceeds the scope of Your absolute forgiveness. Just as You restored Peter, reignited his zeal, and reinstated Him in his evangelistic role, You do the same for all who seek forgiveness and turn away from their sin. How wonderful, how marvelous is my Savior’s love for me! Thank You Jesus and in Your name we ask and pray. Amen Heavenly Father, the words that Jesus spoke to the chief priests upon His arrest, "When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against Me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness." would days later turn into the finest hour on the Christian calendar. Jesus Christ, in fulfillment of the Scriptures, was betrayed into the hands of wicked men by His own familiar friend, and as the spotless Lamb of God was led away to the slaughter, for the purpose to which He had consecrated Himself, the shedding of His blood for the putting away of sin. He faced the issue alone, victorious over all Satanic attempts to turn Him from the divine purpose, and forsaken by His own, went forth to be slain. Torture and death did not have the final say, for darkness dissipated and light broke through as Jesus rose from the tomb. We are joyful and victorious as we walk in the newness of life provided through the death and resurrection of our Savior. We are also reminded that evil and death have no permanent hold over us, for the former things have lost their power because Jesus defeated our greatest enemy. We give thanks to You, for Your indescribable gift of salvation through Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus my Lord and my Savior. Lord, You are the God of all wisdom and we come to You seeking Your direction in our lives. We ask for a discerning heart so that we can effectively lead the people entrusted to our care. We need Your wisdom to distinguish between right and wrong, truth and error. As we pray in the Spirit and absorb Your Word into our hearts we will walk uprightly and do justly. It is a natural outflow of Your wisdom and Spirit that abides within us as we choose to walk in Your ways. Be our vision during the light of day and darkness of night; whether waking or sleeping we yield my all to You, Omniscient Father. We thank and praise You, in the precious name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank you for my mom and dad. I am thankful that they strong on discipline as it made me whom I am today. When our earthly fathers discipline us, it is intended for immediate correction and future application. At the time it may be painful and a humiliation of sorts. And with You, Father, Your discipline is not pleasant at the time but painful. We stand upon Your promise that “later on, however it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those of us who are trained by it.” It transforms our thinking, shapes our values, and corrects our behavior so that we become more and more like Christ. In Jesus name, Amen Heavenly Father, as one goes out and shares Your Word, they will find many that will not receive the gospel message of Jesus. The Bible says: "It takes a fool to say there is no God." I praise Jesus that I am numbered among the wise who early on said,” You are God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.” It is a declaration of faith that’s been thoroughly tested throughout the centuries that enables me to confidently pledge my allegiance to You, an invisible God, but a visible power in my life, in the lives of others, and throughout the world. Bad practices are the fruit of bad principles and bad principles are the natural fruit of denial of God. Atheists, whether in opinion or practice, are the biggest fools of earth. There cannot be right living where there is not right believing. Thank You Lord for renewing my mind. In Jesus name I ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You sending the Holy Spirit to guide me and show me Your truths. As we live by faith and not by sight we see much of what the world does not see because we see it through eyes of faith. By faith we see a risen Savior who died for us and who is now interceding on our behalf. By faith we see the coronation day when all the saints will be gathered in the clouds to meet Jesus in the air. By faith we believe that life’s trials will be worth it all when we are ushered into the pearly gates and gather with saints of all the ages to praise our glorious Savior around the throne. It is by faith that we come to Jesus and it is by faith that we will stay the course. For it is not the one who runs the swiftest nor the one who runs for a day, but the one who endures to the end that will be saved. The struggles of this life diminish when we walk by faith and not by sight. Navigate our steps as we journey here below. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, we can see in scripture where we are waned against scoffers. We can see scripture warning that believers must be on their guard lest they be robbed of any essential article of Christian faith by the cunning craftiness or plausible pretenses of ungodly men who pose as teachers and lie in wait to deceive. “in the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” Some of these scoffers are easily spotted while others have an outward appearance of godliness but teach or endorse a false gospel instead. They bring about confusion and divide the flock as they follow their natural instincts instead of the teachings of the Holy Spirit. They are as useless as rainless clouds or diseased trees. Their doom is certain, but until that hour of expulsion, sharpen our discernment. Let us be careful to follow the teachings of Scripture and test the spirit of the messenger, to see that he or she is of God. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen. |
