Praise be to You, our Father of compassion and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from You. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Him. Even in the midst of affliction our hope is steadfast since we know that, as we are partakers of suffering, we also will partake of Your consolation. We thank You that we can find peace and assurance through Your loving consolation as we look to You for strength and calmness of spirit. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, You desire that we live holy and godly lives as we eagerly await the reappearing of Your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nothing here on earth compares with the anticipation we feel about that glorious day. We want to speed Christ’s coming by sharing the gospel message to those near and far. Help us not to be timid or apathetic, but keep us enthused and eager to share the message of salvation so that our family, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances will also be prepared for the glorious day of Christ’s return when we will receive our eternal promotion to enter into the glories of heaven. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, when we place our trust in You we’ve only begun to tap into the unlimited resources You make available to the believer. You have blessed us with Your special favor and Your unsurpassed peace and it only gets better and better as we grow to know You more and more. The illumination of Your Word is truly a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path revealing the mystery of Your Gospel to us. May we be found consistent from day to day growing in the grace and knowledge You give to us in the midst of varying daily experiences of life. Grow us in our discernment and help us to stay on our guard against greed in its various forms. It is in Christ’s name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as genuine Christians we have forsaken the darkness and chosen to walk in the light of Christ. In doing so we don’t want to substitute darkness for light or light for darkness. Otherwise we are expecting You to alter Your commands to accommodate the errant principles and philosophies of every nation, culture, and generation. You are the One True Supreme God who established Your unchanging, inerrant truths and commands before the world came into being. We choose to obey You not because it’s popular, rather we choose to obey You because You created us and made it possible through Christ that we would spend eternity with You in heaven. Though shadows surround us they will never conceal our Savior, our Guide, and constant Companion; for He is the light; in Him there is no darkness at all. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, there is no sin too great that Your mercy is not greater. We were born with a sin problem, but You provided the solution for our sin sick souls through the wondrous sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ on the old rugged cross. We could never be good enough, rich enough, famous enough, or smart enough – nothing we offer is enough. Anything we offer is sin-based because of our human condition and all that Christ offers is sin-less because He is the divine Lamb without spot or blemish. Only Jesus, the sinless Lamb of God, is enough to pay for our sins and begin the wonderful work of transforming us into Your likeness. Thank You that the Old Rugged Cross still makes the difference. Thank You Jesus for dying in my place and setting me free. I ask this prayer in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your statutes are trustworthy, Your precepts give joy to my heart. Your commands are radiant, giving light to my eyes. My reverence for You Lord is pure, may it endure forever. Your decrees are firm, Your statutes are trustworthy, and all of them are righteous. More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much find gold, sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. In Jesus name. Amen Heavenly Father, we look to You this day to bring us word of Your unfailing love, for we have put our trust in You. You are our strength every morning and our security at night. Your steadfast love reaches to the heavens and Your faithfulness fills the skies. There is no one like You that provides for our every need. You are our salvation in times of distress, so it is under Your protective wings that we find refuge and safely abide. We praise You Jesus and we ask this in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, as ambassadors of Your heavenly Kingdom, we want to be spiritually sensitive to those whose difficulties seem overwhelming. Some of our brothers and sisters are weighed down with troubling circumstances that might overtake them if not for those of us who take them by the arm and pull them up out of the quicksand of discouragement that ultimately sinks them even deeper to despair. Help me to do my part to strengthen my brother or sister in their faith journey. Reveal to me ways that I can show genuine concern for unbelievers, through caring words and loving deeds, for they need to see the love of Christ represented in human form. In the blessed name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we know that Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of man ordained by You for a miraculous birth, along with many signs and wonders that You performed through Him. We see in the book of Acts, it says "He was handed over to wicked men and gruesomely crucified by the nails that bore Him to the cross." This was done by Your set purpose and in Your foreknowledge. But God, You raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the permanence of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him. And now He is exalted to Your right hand making intercession for us. “What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss to bear the dreadful curse for my soul!”. I praise You Jesus and I pray this in Your Holy name. Amen Heavenly Father, You know the exact number of words that will flow from my lips today, some of them meaningful and others meaningless. Would You help me to be conscious of the words I speak to others and make me sensitive to those who need caring words. Help me to look not only to my own interests but also to the interests of others as I offer words fitly spoken to those desperately needing to hear a word from You through a servant like me. In Jesus name. Amen. |
