Heavenly Father, You are bringing us into a new year and I am expecting this year to be filled with Your goodness that flourishes within our hearts, nurtures our relationships, and provides for all our needs. As we embark upon another year we want to be quick to encourage, eager to reach others, and faithful to pray for our brothers and sisters; those whom we connect with regularly and those who live on the other side of the globe. Above all, keep us growing in Your grace and knowledge in this new year of 2017 as we walk hand in hand with You. Lord, in doing so You will guide us through any dangers, toils and snares, for nothing can separate us from Your love that has been revealed to us through Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for walking with us on this spiritual journey. Though there is much yet to be revealed concerning Your plan for our lives, we’ve been entrusted with a lifetime of inspired scripture that guides us each day on our earthly journey. As we walk in unity with You we find You to be the Navigator who directs our paths according to Your Word and in accordance with Your individual plan for our lives. In the midst of tumult or uncertainty Your assurance is our anchor that holds us steady and firm. In the midst of change You are the changeless One. Thank Your for being that great certainty in our lives. We ask and thank You in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, through Your scriptures, You have taught us to be very careful how we live, not as unwise but as wise followers of Jesus, the very essence of Truth. Your Word also says: And without faith it is impossible to please You, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. Lord in today’s society of noncommittal attitudes or “whatever rings your bell” way of thinking (or non-thinking) we choose to be committed, sober, and vigilant about the way we live our lives in accordance to what we believe. We walk as sensible, thinking people with a due sense of responsibility, not as those who don’t know or care about the meaning of life here or the life yet to come. We care deeply about the temporal and eternal destiny of our lives and therefore we seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness above all. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I have raised sheep I am aware of how timid they can be and where Jesus used examples of us being like sheep in His parables, it is much clearer to me the message He was trying to get across. I can identify with the Israelites who surely had concerns and fears regarding their future as they journeyed into uncharted territory. We are comfortable with the familiar and can easily worry about the unknown. But we find peace and refuge in You, our eternal God, when we experience the unfamiliar as we learn to trust You for all that concerns us. It is in Your everlasting arms that we find a place of reassurance. Your arms never grow weary nor do they turn us away as we come to You for strength, support, and rest. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for friends and family. I thank You especially for those people in our lives that bring refreshing at their very sight or mention of their names. For me, some have poured into our lives fruitful blessings by their kind actions and words, by their exemplary lifestyle and so often by their personal over-comings of life’s hardships. Father, I pray that during this spiritual journey may we be not only recipients of such tender mercies, but diligent dispensers of loving kindness toward others. May our actions and words refresh them. Not that it should be our major motivation, but we know that when we refresh others, we ourselves are refreshed. So as we bless others, we too are blessed and we bless You as well. In the precious name of Jesus we ask and thank Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for the things You have done in my life. Thank You for strongholds that are gone and Your peace and love that has been put in my life. Anything good or praiseworthy in me is simply a reflection of the abiding presence of Your Holy Spirit. I want to grow in Your grace and knowledge, and will do so if You are preeminent in my life. That means You will reign supreme and be of first importance to me, having greater influence than any other person or cause. I want to walk in humility today as I pray, “Jesus, must become greater in my life, I must become less.” I ask You to be at the center of my thoughts, my attitudes, and my actions so that Your preeminence is seen in all I do and say. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
I would like to thank all of you have supported Leanna and I on the many Christian websites that we belong to, Google + and for those that have subscribed and follow us on the Utube channel. Let this day and everyday be the day that we follow Jesus and follow hard after Him. We love you and may God richly bless you in His abundance Heavenly Father, in my quiet time this morning, I began to think about how we have been waiting for the return of Jesus. Waiting for Him to call His children home. As I thought about this, I am reminded of when He was born here over 2000 years ago. Jesus, who is the visible form of the One who descended from heaven and presented hope, freedom, truth, love, an grace. He was the very essence of the Word of God. The wait for Messiah spanned some 4000 years and many prophets foretold His coming yet never lived to see it fulfilled. We’re glad to be living at a time when we greatly benefit from the fulfilled prophecy of Christ being born to a virgin, living among us, dying for our sins, rising from the dead and ascending into heaven. We now anticipate His second coming when He will gather the redeemed in the air forevermore to reign in His kingdom where there will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace. Thank You Jesus for Your promises. Thank You for saving me. I ask this prayer in Your precous name. Amen. Heavenly Father, though we live in a world that is dying, we that know Jesus have hope. Though we live in a place where darkness is all around us, we as born again believers in Jesus Christ can come to the light. Lord, how grateful we are that Jesus came into this world to save sinners; to turn despair to hope, darkness to light, and death to life. All that we have need of and presently rely on is supplied for us in abundance from Your generous Hand. You are worthy of our trust and deserving of our fully surrendered life. From the cradle to the cross Jesus is Lord of Heaven and Lord of earth. We celebrate the birth of Your Son, Jesus, our Savior, and give thanks for all that He means to us and in Who's name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I trust in Your Word. Your Word is medicine to my soul and Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Help me to journey in faith when the path is dimmed or obscured from that which You have planned for me. When I can only see through a glass darkly, help me to trust You for what is yet to come. May I have a believing, obedient spirit even when I don’t fully understand Your plan. For Your thoughts are not my thoughts nor are Your ways my ways. They are higher and wiser, for they are of divine origin, so help me to be mindful that You always know what’s best and will lead me according to Your will and Your timing. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen |
