Heavenly Father, we desire to please you and You have told us how to do that; to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with You. When we commit ourselves to following these commands we will finish well, for the glory of Your name. We will finish strong until the Saviour calls us home. When we surrender all, we will fight the good fight, we will finish the race, and we will keep the faith not turning to the right nor to the left, but walking the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal righteousness. And we desire to take as many with us as we can possibly influence for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, You have great purpose for our lives and for the legacy we leave those who follow. In our journey there are the bitter waters we drink from and the sweet fragrances that fill our nostrils. Through it all Your plan is to bring the good out of bad circumstances, as You remind us of our calling to live according to Your purpose. We want to be trustful in the hard times and faithful all the time. Thank You precious Jesus and in Your name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we join with the apostle Paul as we repeat his prayer for our brothers and sisters….Since the day we heard about you, our brothers and sisters in the faith, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Thank You Lord for hearing our prayer. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, when we gave You our heart, we made the willful choice to no longer conform to the trends and philosophies of this world. Instead we ask You to daily renew our minds so that we see this world and its philosophies through the eyes of Christ. We are put to the test daily in deciding what is truth and what is error. May Your Holy Word be our reference point and Your Spirit be our Guide as we are exposed to countless philosophies based on human understanding and the basic principles of this ever-changing world rather than Your eternal, foundational, unchanging truths. Sharpen our discernment and grant us courage so that we readily know truth from error and are fearless in saying so. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we know that drinking fresh water is essential to our health, and without it we battle bodily disease and struggle to survive. Drinking from the springs of living water is essential to our spirit as we battle sin diseases of pride, jealousy, rage, gluttony, bitterness, lust, lying and so many other carnal attitudes that can result in spiritual death. As we drink from the springs of living water we flush out those carnal diseases that would seek to destroy us. Scripture assures us that we will be fully alive in Your Spirit as we drink regularly from Your life giving streams of living water. Thank You Jesus and we pray in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have called each of us, as believers, to take Your light to a lost and dying world where wrong seems right; where right is derided, mocked and considered old-fashioned. It’s challenging and often times awkward to go against the grain of our culture that calls evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. We can convey the message of truth and salvation, but only You can change the hearts of those who walk in darkness. Only You can replace darkness with light, evil for good, and sweet for bitter. We share the message and leave the results to You as the Holy Spirit convicts and changes the hearts of those who seek truth through salvation. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we’re so thankful that You did not leave us without a Comforter after Christ’s ascension to heaven, but You sent the Holy Spirit to give power to believers on the day of Pentecost and for all who surrender their lives to Christ until His return. In response to Peter’s sermon regarding a corrupt generation such as ours where confusion abounds, where postmodernism is embraced and proven historic truth is rejected, where people seek to please themselves rather than You I choose to guard the basic spiritual principles presented in Scripture and exhorted by teachers of the Word. I choose to be faithful in my calling to live for You today and for all of eternity. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, though I am called to go through many hardships, there isn’t one that I face alone. For in my weakness You are made strong, in my folly You are the God of infinite wisdom, and in my fear I take hold of the hope You offer to me which is firm and secure. You will not abandon the work of Your hands but fulfill Your purpose for me as You strengthen, sustain, and instruct me during times of testing. I do not want to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. Keep me faithful to the end. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen Heavenly Father, the dynamic story of the three Hebrew men speaks of Your miraculous deliverance for all ages and throughout all generations. Their unyielding devotion to You is a tremendous model to those of us who call You our Father. It is by testing that we are strengthened and conformed into your likeness. Trials come upon us to produce perseverance, build character, and draw us closer to Jesus. They also enable us to help others in similar situations and because of our own personal experience we have a greater sense of how to help and pray for them in their hour of need. We love You, Father, and want to be found faithful no matter the circumstance. We declare that “All things are possible with God” while also having a “nevertheless not my will, but Thine be done” for the glory of God. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as we are seeing day by day in all the chaos going on we are living in this world of darkness. Yet as believers of Christ who love you and are sensitive to your calling, we are tremendously blessed that You have called us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. And because of that we can walk blameless and pure as Your children without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which we shine like stars in the universe while holding out the word of life. As priests of the Most High we are Your chosen people and citizens of a holy nation. Conform us to Your likeness during our pilgrimage here as we make it our ambition to please You and walk in a manner worthy of You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. |
