Heavenly Father, it is only in following You that we can be a godly example of wholesome conversation, purpose-filled living, demonstrable love, overcoming faith and God-honoring purity. You know our failings are many and we so often fall short of being the perfect example we would like for those we love the most. So we make it our continued goal to point them to the only Perfect Example, Jesus Christ, God made manifest in the flesh, so that they have a vibrant, living relationship with Him. And, though we will always fall short, we continue to make it our goal to live in accordance with the Scripture and follow Christ’s example. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we shout praises to You today and walk in Your ways. You are a good, good Father. As we diligently labor for You it is not to bring attention to ourselves, but it is to bring glory to Your name. Help us to find our place of Christian service where we can develop our gifts and expend our labors for the building up of the body of Christ. We are indebted to so many along life’s path who have stepped out of their comfort zone and said, “Yes” I will do what is needed to further the kingdom of God and bless others. In the glorious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as You call us You also equip us to do that which You lay upon our hearts. May we respond to those in need in whatever capacity we can help. Certainly we can pray, we may need to write or call, and then there are the times we are to go and accomplish that which we are called to do. May our motive, in everything we say, do or think be to glorify You as we shine our light, not for our own glory, but always for Your glory and honor while also spotlighting the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in Whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we have a real enemy who comes to kill, steal and destroy us, but Jesus came so that we may have life and life more abundantly. Because of the finished work at the cross we can now have victory. Your Word gives us clues of how the enemy comes and how we can be victorious, but we need to trust You and obey You. "The woman said, 'The serpent deceived me, and I ate'” (Genesis 3:13). "He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44). "Satan disguises himself as an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14). Father God, we look to You and depend on Your Word to teach us spiritual discernment so that we can readily identify Satan when he regularly appears in disguise. Thank You for Your indwelling Holy Spirit that bears witness with ours when we test the spirits to see that which is from You and that which is from the enemy. When we’re uncertain surround us with godly counsel and reveal to us Your truths as we prayerfully look to You for daily guidance. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we read in Your Word and we can see with our own eyes where You made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. You also made the stars and You set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth. The skies and the earth belong to You, Lord, and have sustained humankind since the time of creation. When You made the world You set everything in its proper place and in its proper timing. You made the moon to mark the seasons and the sun always knows when to set. You make it dark, and it becomes night. Lord, You have made many things; with Your wisdom You made them all. With my whole being I praise You, Almighty God and I pray this prayer in the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, I’m so thankful for the invitation extended to us through Christ that we can come and lay down our burdens as we take up His yoke. It is through being yoked to Jesus that we unyoke ourselves from the world and learn how to find rest for our weary souls. We also learn gentleness, humility and other fruit of the Spirit as we are yoked together with Christ. Satan is a heavy taskmaster when we are yoked with him since we learn ungodliness even while he seeks to devour us. The results are disastrous and leads to eternal damnation. But when we are yoked with Christ we find that His yoke is easy and our burden is light. The results lead to our eternal dwelling place in heaven. There is never a time that we can be at peace and be unyoked with Christ, just as we cannot bear fruit unless we remain connected to the Vine. We remain steadfast and immovable in this present age as we are yoked with You. Thank You for upholding us with Your righteous right hand. In the name of Jesus I pray and give thanks. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are called to love our brothers and sisters and I think one of the main passages that shows this and the faith that these 4 men had, is just remarkable. When we consider the zeal and creative way the paralyzed man’s friends brought him to Jesus we’re challenged to do likewise. This man was helpless and unable to reach the Healer on his own, but Jesus healed and saved him through the effort and faith of his friends. They cared compassionately and the barriers did not stop them from bringing him to his only Hope. Help us to be persistent in reaching out to those whose only hope for salvation is by bringing them to Christ. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, we build ourselves up in the most holy faith as we pray in the power of Your Holy Spirit. Spiritual training for the believer is not just for starters but it’s for all who come under the banner of salvation, from the child mature enough to recognize his need for a Savior to the most senior saint among us. As we submit ourselves to Your authority, Your leading, and Your commands we are training ourselves to be spiritually fit for the heavenly kingdom. Help us not to grow lazy or indifferent toward spiritual truths, instead shape us into the kind of believer that brings glory to Your name while it also builds us up in our most holy faith. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, through our faith journey, there are going to be some bumps along the way. There may even be some scratches and bruises, but we keep our eyes focused on Jesus. Lord ,through you Word and and because of what some of us have experienced in our journey, Your arm is not too short to save, nor Your ear too dull to hear our prayers. Our iniquities have separated us from You, Father, so we repent of those things that have distanced us from our holy God. May our faith be renewed and our resolve to follow You be firm as we call upon Your name. We desire to walk, not in our own finite wisdom, but in the infinite wisdom of Almighty God whose understanding knows no bounds. May we be found faithful as we call out to You, for we know You always hear us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we place our complete trust in You, for You are a faithful, trustworthy, and loving God. As we feed on Your faithfulness and live by Your righteousness we find ourselves delighting in Your presence. We delight in You when we sing praises, when we give ourselves in service to others, and most especially when we commune with You in prayer. May the desires of our heart bring delight to Yours as we conform ourselves to Your will and resist the “grass” that lures us to the other side of the fence, outside of Your safe boundaries. We want to dwell in the land You provide and enjoy safe pasture until we reach our future Promised Land where boundaries will not be required, for danger will not exist in heaven. We eagerly await that precious and glorious promotion! In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. |
