Heavenly Father, when I teach Your ways, I share often that Jesus is like is weaved all through the Bible. We read in the first chapter of the Bible where You spoke to Jesus, “Let us make man in our own image.” We also see His presence in the last chapter of the Bible where Jesus declares that He is coming soon and spoke these words, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” From the beginning of creation until the end of the age Christ has gone before us, walked alongside us, and will reign throughout all eternity. It is Christ Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, who directs our steps, sustains us, and empowers us to walk in accordance to Scripture day in and day out. Thank You Jesus for being the Word that became flesh. It is also in Your name that I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we read in Romans 1 that Your wrath is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of those who suppress the truth by their wickedness, that although they know Your righteous decree they do such things deserving of death, and they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. We are understanding this passage more clearly as we see deviancy celebrated and people who boast of their deviant lifestyles as champions of the “courageous” frontier where darkened hearts are hailed as those who have arrived to enlighten those who have drawn their standards from the Holy Bible. We’re also witnessing many who have exchanged Your truths as presented in Scripture for the lies presented by mortal and sinful humanity. We do battle daily with the lawless one so we must suit up in the Christian armor that will protect us from the continual assaults from the enemy as we uphold the standards set forth in Your Holy Word. In Jesus name we ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, even among followers of Your Son, Christ doesn't seem to be the main focus and it must surely sadden Your heart that we’re quick to talk about the weather, politics, gossip or about the latest fashion, tool or electronic gizmo but we’re slow to speak about the Rock of our salvation. Why should we hesitate to be boisterous about the amazing ways You work in our lives every day when You forthrightly tell Your followers that You long for the praises of Your people. Jeremiah writes that “But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!” You also give warning that the rocks will cry out in our place if we don’t give praise. Let us praise You foremost with our surrendered lives but also with our yielded tongues as we speak forth the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light. Now is the time to worship as we confess with our tongues that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father who is in heaven. I praise You Jesus and in Your name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are great and greatly to be praised. Praising You should be our daily work, for You bless us everyday. Your greatness and goodness cannot be comprehended, and when we have said what we can in praising You, there is more to be said. You are the Builder of everything we see and so much that we’ve not yet laid eyes upon, both on the earth and the heavens above. We are looking forward to the future city with eternal foundations where You are the architect and builder. Our everlasting home in heaven is not built with human hands, but by Your divine design. Keep us faithful till that glorious promotion day! In the Name of Jesus we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, You indicate in Scripture that the righteous live by faith; "Apostle Paul sad the just walk by faith." Scripture also says: and if he shrinks back, You will take no pleasure in him.* When we live by faith we find inner joy and lasting hope from Your promises, not only those already fulfilled but those yet to come. At the end of our earthly existence You promise to end our sufferings and to receive us unto Yourself, rewarding our faithfulness by giving to us a crown of life. Many have been perfectly enlightened, having witnessed the works of Christ and the Holy Spirit, but who deliberately put themselves under the law, trusting to “other sacrifices,” thereby treading under foot the blood of Christ. Lord, we must press on, ever persevering, to win the prize of the high calling which we have received through Christ Jesus our Lord. With the prize clear before our eyes, Lord, we will find the strength to press on and not shrink back. Thank You Jesus for making this all possible to those who believe. It is in Your name I ask and pray. Amen. |
