Heavenly Father, the spiritual journey may have its twists and turns, its potholes and inclines that obscure the finish line, but by faith I will stay the course because You give me power when I feel faint and strength when I am weak. Everlasting Father, Creator of the ends of the earth You do not grow weary or faint; Your understanding is vast beyond measure and Your might gives me strength when I grow weary and hope when I become discouraged helping me to rise as though I have wings as eagles. Help me to soar above my troubles and give flight to those worries that would otherwise weigh me down. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for sending Jesus to live among us over 2000 years ago. We thank You for His teachings, His sinless life, and for His death on the cross that provides for our salvation and for His glorious resurrection. Each of us has sinned and the penalty for our sin is death. So we thank You for Jesus who took our sin penalty by dying in our place. We ask for Your forgiveness as we believe and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, because salvation comes to us through Christ Jesus our Lord. Thank You for Your wondrous and eternal gift of salvation. In the precious name of Jesus we give thanks to and praise. Amen. Dear Jesus, on that great appointed day we will behold You in all of Your glory, power and splendor! Your appearance will far surpass the glimpse of a superstar, for You are the King of kings and Lord of lords! And because You are faithful You will not shirk Your duties but You will bring discipline and justice where injustice has so long prevailed. Capturing the vision of You as our conquering Faithful and True High Priest riding on a white horse renews our anticipation for that which is yet to come! Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your Scripture tells us that we are to praise You from the rising of the sun until the going down of the same. So we must be purposeful in keeping You our focus throughout the activities and events of each day, whether at home, at work, the marketplace, in the car or riding public transportation, wherever our paths may lead us day by day. Since Revelation teaches us that the eternal city of heaven does not need the sun or moon to shine on it, because God’s glory illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb, then our praise will be unending in heaven. With the fruit of our lips today we give You praise and we honor You for who You are, for what You have done for us through Christ our Redeemer and Mediator, for how You are presently working in our lives, and for our promised eternal inheritance that is stored up for us in heaven where the best is yet to come. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are a chosen generation, a royal people who have been called out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Through the power of Your Holy Spirit we go forth and shine Your light through our works, our attitudes, our holy lives, and by our verbal witness. May we bring You glory as others see Your light shining through us. In the name of Jesus we pray and give thanks. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus who died on the cross for our sins; past, present and future. It was but a short time that He was held under the power of death, but He will die no more. Jesus is alive forevermore, and we who express godly faith will live forever, because Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. As we believe on Him, though we may die a mortal death, we shall yet live an immortal life. Jesus holds the keys to the invisible world which will one day be made visible to all creation. He also holds the key to our heart’s door, but will only turn that key when we invite His entrance. Today we not only invite Jesus to enter but we welcome His residency as His Holy Spirit constantly abides with us guiding us into all truth. We love You, Father, and we come to You through Your Son, Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I desire to be at peace with my own family members, for home is where my heart finds lodging and I like peaceful lodging. I also long to have peace with my brothers and sisters in the faith as well as those I interface with outside Christian circles. I lay my heart bare before You asking You to bring to mind anyone whom I might have offended. Spur me on to mend that difference which starts by humbling myself, seeking out that individual in love, and asking their forgiveness. I can even say “I’m sorry” when I was not in the wrong since those two words of reconciliation can open closed doors for further conversation and also convey my genuine intent to restore our relationship to its former luster. Help me to get beyond just thinking about it and into doing something about it. And for those who are unreceptive give me a peace in my heart that I’ve obeyed You in this command, in as much as it is possible, on my part. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, the fifth commandment indicates that we’re to honor our father and mother. When we honor our parents, Lord, we also honor You and show appreciation for Your marvelous workmanship in our lives. We acknowledge that You ordained the family of our origin and we give thanks to You for our mother and father, brothers and sisters, along with special women we connect with; those who take us under their wings in our life’s journey, that become a mother like figure to us, loving and caring for us as though we were blood related. We pray for our mothers and these dear mother like figures in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are well-acquainted with my weaknesses and the condition of my heart. You know that I am often more concerned about my own comfort and my daily schedule than the needs of those around me. I know I can’t save the whole world, but I can listen to Your still small voice as You place individuals, even strangers, upon my heart. Show me ways that I can make a difference. May the character of my life reflect the heart of Christ as I reach out to others in love and in obedience to Your calling upon my life. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |
