Heavenly Father, you have examined me and you know me. You know everything I do; from far away you understand all my thoughts. You see me, whether I am working or resting; you know all my actions. Even before I speak, you already know what I will say. You are all around me on every side; you protect me with your power. Your knowledge of me is too deep; it is beyond my understanding. Lord, the longer we live the more we come to understand the brevity of our life on earth. We are but a mist in the eons of time, but we are also of incomparable worth to You who gives us the principles, teachings and tools to walk our brief pilgrimage on this side of eternity. So much is lacking in this life where sin abounds, but we gladly hold onto Your hand for the glorious victory that awaits the believer where sin is no longer present. Our perishable bodies will no longer be like a vapor but will be imperishable, made to last for all of eternity. It’s only because of Calvary that we are afforded this amazing privilege. Thank You, Jesus and in You name I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we read all through Your Word about forgiving others. Lord, I thank You for giving us the capacity to forgive those who sin against us. Jesus serves as the supreme example of One who forgave those who betrayed, abandoned, lied, scourged, and drove the nails in His hands raising Him on the cross to be humiliated and mocked by onlookers. We will bear no offense on this side of heaven that Jesus will not uphold us in our pain and comfort us in our sadness. We can forgive others because You have forgiven us. Help us to bear with those who repeatedly hurt us. Show us how to love those who are most unlovely and unloving toward us. We pray this through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. Heavenly Father, I praise Your name this morning and I make it known, yesterday, today, and forever You are the faithful, changeless One, Lord, Your works in the past are testimony to Your majesty, power, and provision for our lives today. Your presence today steadies our walk as You lead us in the paths of righteousness. Your future blessings are waiting to be unfolded in our lives as we faithfully yield to You our heart, our soul, and our mind. Lord, let our hearts not be troubled with the events we see happening around the world, but focused on the race You have us run. We look to You for everything we need for life and godliness in this present age as we await Your soon return. Come, Lord Jesus, come! In Jesus name I thank and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus, my Lord, my Savior and He calls me His friend. Lord,You have given me many treasures that cannot be bought with money and my friendship with Christ is among them. I thank You for the special friends who brighten my outlook and challenge me to be a better person. Thank You for my caring friend who loves me and never gives up on me even when I feel like giving up on myself. For that dear friend who comes alongside me and helps carry the burdens that I bear, I am especially thankful. My life is enriched and my spirit is refreshed as I share my heart with a close friend who does not criticize but accepts my frailties; who prays for me and expresses love for me in ways that build me up and strengthen me in the trials of life. My King and my Redeemer, You are the greatest and most trusting Friend that I will ever know so help me to draw near to You so that You draw near to me. in Jesus name I pray and give thanks. Amen. Heavenly Father, I pray for this nation that You once blessed, that it would once again be a nation that turned to You and looked for Your guidance and protection. Lord, You physically reign in a place invisible to my eyes while Your Holy Spirit with His invisible qualities is at work deep within my heart. Though I cannot see You I recognize Your masterful handiwork. Though I cannot touch You I feel Your divine presence. Only a God like You is great enough to mastermind the universe, yet small enough to live within my heart. Father, You have made Your wonders to be remembered and appreciated. You are gracious and compassionate; Your presence is seen and felt everywhere. I acknowledge You as the Creator of the universe and the Light of my life, for You are my Lord and Master from eternity past to all eternity future. I thank You for Jesus Who died for me and in His name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, through many discussions lately with other believers about whether You still provide today, my comment is, You are the same yesterday, today and forever. You my Lord, were Jehovah-Jireh during Abraham's day and You are right now. Halleluiah! You are the Great Provider who meets all our needs. We turn to worry when we consider ourselves to be the source of our provisions rather than Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth. There is nothing we lack when we commit our ways to You and ask You to provide for our needs. Lord, You know what we have need of before we ask it, but You are pleased that we acknowledge You to be our Heavenly Benefactor who provides all our natural, physical, and spiritual resources. When our hearts are secure in You, we have no fear and, in the end, we will look in triumph on our foes. That’s because we serve a caring and generous God who faithfully watches over us especially during times of testing. I praise You Lord and ask this prayer in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for renewing my mind. I thank You for changing my life, my thoughts, my actions, my speech and You continue to do these things everyday. Halleluiah! Lord, as we live by faith and not by sight we see much of what the world does not see because we see it through eyes of faith. By faith we see a risen Savior who died for us and who is now interceding on our behalf. By faith we see the coronation day when all the saints will be gathered in the clouds to meet Jesus in the air. By faith we believe that life’s trials will be worth it all when we are ushered into the pearly gates and gather with saints of all the ages to praise our glorious Savior around the throne. It is by faith that we come to Jesus and it is by faith that we will stay the course. For it is not the one who runs the swiftest nor the one who runs for a day, but the one who endures to the end that will be saved. The struggles of this life diminish when we walk by faith and not by sight. Navigate our steps as we journey here below. In the precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, as I have anxiously been waiting to start my garden, I think back to all the years that I never thought about the parable Jesus taught on sowing seed. Lord, gardeners and farmers spend a lot of time preparing soil, planting and tending to their crops to have a good harvest. Lord I pray that You will help me to sow for myself righteousness, so that I will reap the fruit of Your unfailing love. Break up the unplowed ground of my heart that is stony and hard so that I acknowledge my sins, receive Your forgiveness, and look to You for guidance. May I thoroughly discern the vain philosophies and empty deception that pervades our society. I want to seek Your will above man’s agenda so that You shower Your blessings upon me. Lord help me sow good seeds into others lives, that bring them closer to You, for You honor and glory. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, our thoughts and our tongues often times can get us in a heap of trouble. Lord, there are times that people purposely say things to hurt another and then there are times that we may be trying to help a person, but we do it in our own understanding. Lord, help us to be slow to speak, quick to listen, and eager to give the benefit of the doubt to others. We often jump to conclusions that are erroneous due to our own preconceived ideas or based on our past experiences. Give each of us an understanding heart and discerning spirit in our relations with others we intersect with on our daily paths. Let us keep in mind that life and death are is in the power of each persons words. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are nothing without You. As I spent time this morning in my Bible and in prayer, I was reminded of how evil we can be. Lord, just like You instructed Adam and Eve what not to do, You have and we can see all through You Word the things to stay away. The things we need to do. We see where Paul, being led by the Holy Spirit warned the Corinthian church and us today, what to stay away from. "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." Lord I praise You that Jesus saved me and now I am but clay in Your hands. Lord for all those that You have chosen to be followers of Christ Jesus, may You break down the hardened walls of our heart and reshape us into a useful vessel that is fully yielded to Your workmanship. As we are crafted by the Master Potter, painful as it may be, let our confidence be founded upon the Rock of Ages rather than the shifting sands of our circumstances. May we be faithful and obedient so that You pour out Your glory and honor through us, Your yielded vessels. In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray, amen. |
