Heavenly Father, I pray that the need of sharing the gospel message burns in our hearts like never before. Lord, there is nothing we can do or say to merit salvation. It is a gift freely extended to all who believe because Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins. He washed our sin stained garments with the blood He shed on Calvary’s tree. Thank You, Father, for accepting Christ’s blood as a complete payment for our crimson stains allowing us to stand before You in garments white as snow. What a relief and unspeakable blessing it is to know that we have a place in heaven reserved for all eternity because of Jesus. It is in name of Jesus that we give You praise and thanksgiving. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for being with me and guiding me. Lord You showed that yesterday while ministering to young ladies of another faith. Lord, thank You for Your holy boldness. Lord I know it does not come easily for some. Though some may hold an unwavering conviction based upon the teachings of Scripture, some find it difficult to articulate their position when faced with opposing views or by those with a lifestyle contrary to that of the Christian believer. It is in this setting that I rely upon Your Holy Spirit to equip me with the words I am to speak and the tone of which I speak them. You’ve instructed the believer to always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have. And then You further instruct us about the spirit that accompanies our response. We are to do this prayerfully with gentleness, respect, and a clear conscience so that those who would respond unfavorably toward us would regret their behavior. Keep our motives pure as we unashamedly and boldly declare Your truths to a lost and dying generation. Thank You my Lord and my Savoir and in Your name we ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You good and decent. That is why You teach sinners the way they should live. You lead humble people to do what is right, and teaches them Your ways. Every path of the LORD is one of mercy and truth for those who cling Your promise and written instructions. Lord through the apostle’s writings you warned us that “in the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” Some of these scoffers are easily spotted while others have an outward appearance of godliness but teach or endorse a false gospel instead. They bring about confusion and divide the flock as they follow their natural instincts instead of the teachings of the Holy Spirit. They are as useless as . Their doom is certain, but until that hour of expulsion, sharpen our discernment. Let us be careful to follow the teachings of Scripture and test the spirit of the messenger, to see that he or she is of God. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I love reading from Your Word. Lord, we glean so much from the characters of the Bible; both bad and good examples of those who thought themselves to be above Your commands and those who heeded Your warnings. Achan in Joshua 7 had a heart of greed, a lying spirit, and prized himself above innocent lives who perished as a result of his sinful actions. Your judgment eventually came upon him and he paid with his life and that of his entire family. But we also see Noah who labored for years building an unprecedented mammoth boat for the torrential flood waters You warned him about. He heeded Your warning and thereby saved his family’s lives and the pairing of many animals that would reproduce on the earth following the flood. Help us to realize that we are wise to follow Your warnings given in the commands of Scripture. To feel that we are the exception is a lie straight from the pit of hell that will immediately or eventually lead to our demise. You warn because You love us and want the very best for us, Your children. Remind us often; through Scripture, through fellow believers, through negative and positive examples we see all about us, and through the inner working of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have placed so many people in my circle of friends in the past few years. Thank You Lord for the ones that help me spiritually and for the ones that look up to me. Lord would You impress upon our hearts essential truths that You want us to remember. May they be seared into our conscience so that they not only guide our Christian walk but spill out to those we influence by our consistent example and frequent reference to these principles. As we read Your oft-repeated principles and doctrines throughout the Bible help us not to ignore or overlook the familiar. Help us instead to know that it is repeated for emphasis and reminds us of the most important things You want us to know. In our short time on this earth enable us to impress deeply upon others the elemental teachings that have forever impacted our lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You, our God, and praise Your glorious name. Lord, because of Your extravagant grace we are able to say no to ungodliness and yes to righteousness; no to lasciviousness and yes to self-control; no to the lust of the flesh and yes to the Spirit. We want to be quick to obey the Scriptures and discerning when anyone adds to or takes away from Your absolute truths that are to be followed in every generation. We want to align our desires with Yours, rather than trying to align Your truths with our desires, for that would lead to error and serve our old sin nature, rather than our new spiritual nature. Transform us day by day to be more like You we pray in Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father,You demonstrated Your love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. We praise You Lord. Lord, as we earnestly contend for the faith, we’re thankful for pastors and Christian leaders who labor, study, pray and observe the times to keep us on our guard against the schemes of our adversary, the devil. Keep us alert, somber, and ready for action when our overseers warn us of Satan’s scheming strategies so that we take heed, proceed cautiously and become wise and discerning. May their teaching and guidance stimulate us to study for ourselves that which You want to show us in Your Word that will keep us on our guard and effective in our Christian walk. We lift up our Christian leaders to You, knowing that they are subject to even greater temptation, since the devil is extremely zealous in his attempt to silence the messenger. May they be merciful to others, snatching them from the fire, all the while hating even the clothes stained by corrupted flesh, so that they do not defile themselves or dishonor Your name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I love the fact that we can bring to you questions that bother us, or things we delight in. Lord, In conversations online and in person, these questions come up often. Lord, as we earnestly contend for the faith once for all entrusted to the saints, we recognize the great responsibility we have to carry out this command in our own generation. Lord, doctrinal error, intentional or unintentional, brings confusion and division. It can very well lead to eternal damnation instead of eternal life in heaven when we force Scripture “to suit our own passions.” We want to be conveyors of the pure gospel, accepting Your standard of truth, and live righteously through Jesus our Lord. It is in His name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for molding me to whom I am becoming. Lord I thank You for firstly, You trusting me to help others in need through prayer and for those that send prayer requests. Lord these are things I hear almost daily.yet they can’t hide the facts from You that too much time and energy is spent being concerned about how others perceive themselves. Things like: I fuss about my appearance, am preoccupied about my weight, try to be “with it” so others might think highly of me and at times try to surround myself with just the right people, saying just the right things. Lord I and them need to realize, in light of Your Word, that these entrapments don’t speak of godly character whatsoever. It’s not how others perceive me that counts at all – but it is how You see the very person we are when no other human is looking. As I spend quiet, reflective, and alone time with You I become more like You. Lord God help us to develop and guard our daily gathering with You! In Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your word says: the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Lord, how marvelous is Your indescribable grace that You should love a sinner such as I. Though I deserve death You grant eternal life through the death of Your beloved Son, Jesus. I am accepted into Your family, into the sainthood of all believers, through my redemption in Christ. So, too, I want to accept those who have turned to you in faith and obedience to who might be different, who break into my carefully etched out comfort zone. In doing so that I learn how to be more loving and learn how to bear with others in such a way that pleases and honor You. I come as a mix of Your love, mercy, and grace as I extend myself to others around me. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I ask. Amen. |
