Heavenly Father, I praise You today and everyday. You came to die to set us free. Lord, help me not to waste my time and energy in futile or wishful thinking. Instead I want to fix my thoughts upon the living hope I have in Jesus Christ my Lord. I anchor my soul in the bedrock of Your Holy Word so that when other viewpoints counter the truths presented in Your Word my anchor remains firm. When difficulties appear insurmountable remind me that I serve an extraordinary God who does not rely on natural solutions but works in the supernatural realm to meet each one of my needs. I am not tossed to and fro by wishful thinking but I am firmly grounded in the living hope of our resurrected Savior and it is in His name that I pray. Amen. Happy Easter everyone and may God richly bless you and your family, Jim and Leanna

Heavenly Father, I pray as we celebrate Easter this year that people get what the true meaning of this day means. Jesus, Your mission on earth ultimately led to Your obedience of death on the cross. But on the third day You defied the curse of death and rose to life again. In the historical records we read that Your resurrected body was identified by the nail scars visible in Your hands and Your feet; nails that were driven into Your innocent body by our sinful hearts, for when we were dead in our trespasses and sins You died for us, the ungodly. How undeserving we are of Your sacrificial death which brought about the Father’s gift of eternal life. In humbleness of heart we receive this tremendous gift with gratitude and rejoicing. In Jesus name we ask and pray. Amen Heavenly Father Help us all understand Your salvation plan and share it with all they we know and meet. Lord, if we confess our sins to You. You are the One who cleanses our hearts so that we stand righteous before You through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is not in ourselves that we are made righteous, for our righteousness is as filthy rags. It is in Jesus’ death and resurrection that we are forgiven of our sins. It is not by works of righteousness; it is not by doing that which is seen by others as commendable, but it is according to Your grace and mercy that we are saved, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Praise You Jesus and we ask in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are the same , yesterday, today and forever. You do not change. Lord most everyday I run into those who do not believe in Your creation. Father, there have always been arguments against the Biblical creation, usually by those who neither heed nor believe in the Scriptures. But there are a growing number of believers and Christian affiliations who are looking to secularist theorists or interpretations of creation that are more acceptable by the world’s standards and often introduced in educational institutions. We believe and accept the words of the Scriptures, as inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Biblical account of marriage when a man and a woman come together in marriage. We do not concede to any other design that is intended to reflect or accommodate the perversion of Scriptural principles. Keep us looking to Your Scriptures and not to other’s experiences or the ever-changing positions of our day. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Lord, we’re so thankful for the parables Jesus spoke in the gospels where You connect listeners in their everyday living with the teachings that have eternal impact. Since we’re often perplexed by life’s experiences and need supernatural understanding or wise counsel the parables provide wisdom and guidance to direct us in the daily events of our lives. Thank You for presenting heavenly truths in a format that helps us to relate and grasp spiritual meaning for our lives. The parables of Christ, though presented over 2000 years ago, have not diminished in their application because You are speaking to the spiritual and physical needs of Your creation. We continue to need Your divine intervention and Biblical instruction for daily living as we walk this pilgrim pathway. Thank You and in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for delivering us from the power of darkness, and translating us into the kingdom of Heaven: Lord Jesus, we ask You to help us apply Your teachings to our lives so that our foundation will be unshakeable and storm-proof when the howling winds and surging rains beat against us. The foundation of this world is temporal and growing more and more decadent, so we choose instead to build our lives on the eternal foundation of Your Holy Word, as You teach us all throughout Scripture. In the name of Jesus we give thanks and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, there are so many things are on my mind. There are so many questions as I learn more of Your ways. Thank You for Your patience. Lord, we are barraged with colorful ads, luring commercials, and attractive displays enticing us to make grand purchases. When “things” consume our soul they capture our passion, our wallets and our time. You have commanded us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness and all these things will be added unto us. As we do so we will be generous with our resources for the sake of the Kingdom. Help us to be generous with our time, talent, and treasures so that Your kingdom is enlarged and our investments have eternal dividend. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You have many teachings in Your word on love. Part of that love is forgiving. Lord, one of the most merciful acts we can carry out is that of forgiving one who has intentionally harmed us. It’s as much for their benefit as it is ours, since it keeps the root of bitterness from growing weeds in our heart. There are so many opportunities you give us to reach out in mercy to those who have less, those who lack abilities that we take for granted, those whose spirit is broken and we are called to be part of that mending. Merciful Father, show us a way that we can be Your hand extended to those most especially needing it today. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, for some that are taking the gospel to the world sharing their faith, it can be a challenge Lord some of us confess that we can be impatient and judgmental toward those who reject You. We’ve come to realize that we can’t live without You but the unbeliever feels he or she has no need for You. It seems we’re worlds apart in our outlook. Lord, use this passage from Jude to speak to our hearts about applying Your mercy to those who are not of the faith. They do not see through eyes of faith, but are blinded to spiritual truth. Jude also reminds us that while we must embrace the sinner in mercy and love, we must never embrace or endorse the sin. The allurement to sin is always before us, so we ask You to keep us safe, even as we may need to set up safeguards, while reaching out to those who are in sin’s entrapment. Father, we don’t want to be complacent but want to be spiritually burdened with the critical need of reaching those who doubt the Gospel message of salvation. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your word is correct, and everything You do is trustworthy. Praise You Lord. Jesus, we know that our faith is increased and strengthened as we pray often in the Holy Spirit, as we keep ourselves in Your love instead of the love of the world. We direct our hearts to You in faith, prayer, and love as we anxiously await eternal life which is the greatest gift given to the believer because of Christ’s sacrificial death on our behalf. Keep us faithful and ever looking to the prize of the high calling we have through Christ Jesus our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen. |
