Heavenly Father, You have declared, through the words of Scripture, that there is no other name under heaven given unto men by which we must be saved. The apostles, full of the Holy Spirit, shared that message with the elders and chief priests, boldly asserting that it is by the name of Jesus Christ, that people are saved, healed, and delivered. Our singular focus must be on Jesus, whom You offered as the only way to have an eternal relationship with us. Thank You, God, that I am free thanks to Your marvelous grace, through the blood sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ in whose name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Your watchful eye brings great assurance to my heart as You, Almighty Father, are a God of perfect order, and Your immutable character does not change. Your perfect design of the universe and all of created life that sustains it is also testimony to Your unchanging faithfulness. We marvel in the wonder of each hour of the day and of the night, hill and meadow, tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light. The redeemed join with all of nature in declaring Your wondrous beauty in all creation as we bring praise, honor and glory to You, our Faithful God. All in the name of Jesus I ask and thank. Amen Heavenly Father, as adults we tend to complicate matters and seek to understand that which is incomprehensible. We cannot fully grasp the Kingdom of God here on earth or that You would give Your only Son to die for us, and that by doing so, we can receive forgiveness of sins. These amazing truths are hard to grasp and often keep adults from receiving by faith all that You have for us. But Jesus gives us the example of children whose learning is very basic. They don’t yet know the why and wherefores of life at such an early age. But rather than Jesus instructing the children to first become like the disciples, as we would expect, He instructs the disciples to become like children. Father, help us to examine the characteristics of a child that bring You pleasure, that open our heart’s door for closer communion with You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You want us to build our lives on the firm foundation of Your Holy Word through our salvation in Jesus. And yet the devil perpetually beckons us to build our lives on the temporal, the popular, the physical and the mindset of this world instead. To counteract such deadly influence we will delight in Your Law and meditate on it day and night so that we will be like a tree firmly planted and grounded in Your Word. When the waters surge our roots will cling to that which holds as the foundations are crumbling. We choose not to be pulled down by the sinking foundations of this world, but to be lifted up by Your timeless, imperishable truths. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are assured that You will guide us each day as we keep in step with Your Spirit. You satisfy our needs and give strength to the weary. Thank You for hearing our cries and saving us from our troubles. Thank You for being close to the brokenhearted and comforting those whose spirits have been crushed. Though we choose to live according to Your ways we know that we’re not exempt from problems, but we are greatly encouraged to know that You, Father, solve them all and sustain us in the midst of them. By Your gracious all-sustaining power the sun will come up tomorrow no matter the darkness we might feel today. Thank You faithful, holy and righteous One. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, my prayer for today and everyday for all those that follow this ministry is, we make it our goal to find out what pleases You and, thereby, seek to do what is right in Your eyes. And yet we readily confess that far more times than we like to admit we have lived in vain conceit and sought after worldly pleasure. Since we know that You walk in the light we choose to walk in Your light shunning the darkness that accompanies our archenemy, the devil. We choose not to grow weary in well doing since we know that in due time we will reap a spiritual harvest if we do not give up. Help us to keep on keeping on in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I spend time in Your Word this morning, I think of some great men and women that have mentored me along the way. Some I have contact with still and some that have been called home. Lord, we’re grateful for those throughout history who chose to be men and women of faith, whose hearts were fashioned in Your image, and who served Your purpose in their generation. We also want to serve Your purpose in our generation. Help us to stay steadfast and strong as we run this race set before us. Thankfully, in this race, we’re not in competition to be the only prizewinner. Instead we take hold of the hands of those who run with us, those who’ve fallen and struggle to get up, and we invite others on the sidelines to join us in this great lifelong journey. As we cross the finish line we will receive the grand prize of life eternal with You. And it’s only possible because of Jesus’ shed blood on our behalf. We thank You for it. Amen. Heavenly Father, in Your compassion You crush our sins under Your feet and throw them in the depths of the ocean, to be remembered no more. And yet there are times when we have great difficulty letting go of past sins to the extent of dwelling on them and getting weighed down by guilt and self-condemnation. Help us to let go of that which You have forgiven. If we are to remember anything of our past, let it be that which brings glory to You as we share with others that which You have forgiven and delivered us from. May the contrast of our former lives not bring up condemnation which You have freed us from, but instead provide witness that there is nothing beyond Your merciful pardon. To God be the glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Heavenly Father, shape my thinking into that which will bring about growth and conformity to Your will. Teach me to think not in accord with my own human instincts but with the truth as it is revealed in Your Word. It will keep me from lusting after deadly forbidden fruit if I plant myself into that which is holy and righteous. As the world continues to slide into decadence help me to delve deeper into Your Word and faithfully commune with You so that my heart does not grow cold or indifferent. Nor will I be drawn into every kind of impurity with a continual lust for more. I want to stand firm to the end so that I am saved from this world of sin and influence others to live a godly life. Through Christ’s strength and my prayerful resolve I will remain faithful. In His precious name I ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the song playing in my head this morning. I owe all to You Jesus. There’s a place where mercy reigns And never dies. There’s a place where streams of grace Flow deep and wide. Where all the love I’ve ever found Comes like a flood. Comes flowing down. At the cross, at the cross I surrender my life. I’m in awe of You. I’m in awe of You. Where Your love ran red And my sin washed white. I owe all to You. I owe all to You, Jesus. There’s a place where sin and shame Are powerless. Where my heart has peace with God. And forgiveness. Where all the love I’ve ever found Comes like a flood. Comes flowing down. Here My hope is found Here. On Holy ground. Here I bow down. Here I bow down. Here Arms open wide. Here You saved my life. Here I bow down. Here I bow down. We thank You for Jesus in whose name we pray. Amen. |
