Heavenly Father, I can see all through scripture that You long to be gracious to Your children, to show them compassion and give them direction. Bless You Lord.We see You bless those who wait upon You. Though you give us the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, you also give us teachers, prophets, and believing friends who affirm or challenge us as we seek Your face and Your will for our lives. As we hold up the lamp of Your Word to lighten the path before us, how good it is to hear Your voice behind us saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” You’ve promised that You will never leave us or forsake us. Darkness will not overtake us, for You are the Light of the World, and in You there is no darkness at all. Thank You for Your reassuring presence that You walk with us step by step on this day of our journey. We’re en route now but we’re assured that our final destination will have an eternal glorious address where our dwelling will be with You in heaven forevermore. In Jesus name I praise You and ask this prayer. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Your ways are not our ways, nor Your thoughts our thoughts. I hear people arguing on a daily basis when the glorious day will be when You come to call Your children home. Lord, though we don’t know the day nor the hour, You have the blessed event of Christ’s return on Your heavenly calendar. Even as the Son of Man ascended into heaven He will come again, but this time we have the blessed hope of ascending with Him and joining with those of like precious faith. Thank You for loved ones and witnesses of the truth who have repeated this glorious life-transforming message to us over the years preparing our hearts for this major event. May this be the resounding message from our own lips as we anticipate the glorious moment when we will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye. Help us to be faithful and eager for the blessed hope of Your second coming where those of us on earth will take up eternal residency in heaven. In Your name, Jesus, we pray as we watch with our lamps filled and ready and prepare the way for Your reappearing. Amen. Heavenly Father, when we look at the cross, the death and resurrection Jesus, we see the greatest example of temporal suffering. He gave His all to pay the full ransom for our sins. He underwent inhumane persecution to the fullest extent of giving His life through death that we might live and be healed. What seemed a hopeless cause to some, including His disciples, turned into a victory above all other victories when His resurrected body made it possible for us, as His followers, to join in His eternal glory. Lord, thank You for this sacrifice and I ask that You strengthen our faith and guide us in Your ways. Jesus, may we be found faithful along the way! In Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, help us not to only know scriptures, but to lock them in are hearts and be doers of them. Lord, You are the the way and the truth and the life. In You, is where I choose to follow and live according to. You light is the light I want others to see through me. I separate myself from the distracting desires and destructive deeds that pull me into the world where Satan rules with his power of darkness. In denying myself of former earthbound pleasures I find lasting satisfaction that will guide me all the days of my life and usher me into the eternal kingdom of heaven. There is absolutely nothing of worth here on earth that equals the gift of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus and in His name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we see throughout Your Word we are cautioned not to be a proud people or destruction will fall upon anything that I have built in my own strength for my self-glory. We can see many examples throughout scriptures where that warning was shrugged off and where You allowed the destroyer to cause much destruction. Lord, I know You have dealt with my pride and as I type these words, I know there is much more work to be done. I want my heart to be filled with godly gratitude instead of a prideful attitude so that it deflects that which is about me and reflects all that is about You. In the same spirit as John I cry out, “Help me to decrease so that You will increase in my life.” More of Jesus, less of me, In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the peace and understanding You give me each morning as I spend time in Your Word and in prayer. Lord, help me to share with the world how to know Your peace and Your love by spending time daily in the Bible, in prayer and trusting in You for all things. Let the world know from my words and my actions that I am Your child and Jesus lives within me. Lord, I know You will not only deliver people who trust in You during their difficulties in due time, but You will give them grace to bear up under their trials in the meantime. Lord I praise You for the glory of all the deliverance and advancements of Your Kingdom. You are so deserving of our praise. I ask and thank You in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Lord, I thank You for changing my heart and continuing to soften it and mold it so that I can carry out the works You have me to do. Lord, I thank you for creating in me a true disciple of Christ. Lord I ask You to help me to prepare men and women to do the same. Lord, help me to teach ones that will be cautious in their judgment of others; conscious of their own faults; confident and earnest in prayer; wary of false teachers and hypocritical profession; building all eternal hopes upon the firm Rock. Father, one that will have total faith in Your Word and in the Author, King Jesus. I give thanks and pray this prayer in His name. Amen. Heavenly Father, we can see all through Your Word, scriptures that speak of fruit as an outgrowth of sowing good seed in various kinds of soil settings. When I think of the horrible injustice that was done to Joseph, first by his brothers and then by his master’s wife, I’m empowered by his astonishing response. Instead of becoming disillusioned or embittered he continued to pour himself into work for You now in a prison among vile prisoners. His two years of obedience in an undesirable prison setting brought about years of blessings he didn’t anticipate at his time of faithful service to You in jail. Help us to be faithful over the long haul so that we see Your multitude of blessings and answers to prayers unfold in Your timing and through Your plan. Lord, help us and guide us to never never give up until we’ve won the race. Our victory is just ahead that will bring You honor and glory. I ask this in the name of my Lord and Savoir. Amen.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Jesus who is a Friend that sticks closer than a brother or a sister, who never leaves us nor forsakes us. We also thank You for the companionship of a marriage partner who walks alongside us during the ups, downs, and winding pathways of our journey below. Help us to be vigilant in preserving our sacred vows and honoring the institution of marriage. We want to be united as two blending together as one as we live in harmony with You. In the precious name of Jesus Amen. Heavenly Father, in the past couple weeks, you have had me teach on rightly dividing Your Word and the teaching of what happens to us when we learn from those that are unlearned and unstable. Lord, for me it comes very naturally to encourage and instruct others in Your teachings. But it is far more difficult to bring loving rebuke and correction to one who has chosen to live in disobedience to Your commands. Help me to go forth as one pure in heart, humble in spirit, and earnest in prayer when I am commissioned to be Your messenger of life-giving rebuke. It wasn’t Nathan who went after David, but it was You who sent Nathan, which served as the beginning of David’s spiritual restoration. When the messenger is pure in motive and obedient to the Spirit’s prompting, and the message is received in the right spirit, then correction will take place, just as it did with David. Though I cannot be assured of the desired results help me to find blessing in having been obedient to Your Spirit’s leading. When I am the recipient of a rebuke may I respond in humility and receive the correction as though it were delivered personally from You and respond accordingly. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |
