Heavenly Father, we thank You for the love You extend toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. It was necessary for our salvation, so that we might have abundant life here on earth and a future inheritance in heaven. Because of Adam’s disobedience we are all born into sin, but because You gave Your only Son, Jesus, and because He obediently sacrificed His life on the cross we have forgiveness of sins and are made righteous through His divine, loving act. Though we are born into Adam’s race we gratefully receive Your redeeming grace through Christ Jesus our Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, just as Daniel prayed we pray too. Today we bless You, our God of heaven. May Your name be blessed forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to You. It is You who changes the times and the epochs; You remove kings and establish kings; You give wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding. You reveal the profound and hidden things; You know what is in the darkness, and the light dwells within You. To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, You physically reign in a place invisible to my eyes while Your Holy Spirit with His invisible qualities is at work deep within my heart. Though I cannot see You I recognize Your masterful handiwork. Though I cannot touch You I feel Your divine presence. Only a God like You is great enough to mastermind the universe, yet small enough to live within my heart. Father, You have made Your wonders to be remembered and appreciated. You are gracious and compassionate; Your presence is seen and felt everywhere. I acknowledge You as the Creator of the universe and the Light of my life, for You are my Lord and Master from eternity past to all eternity future. Thank You for Your Son who came to die and to save me from my sin. It is of Jesus name I come to You. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is only through the sacrificial blood of Your Son that my sins are forgiven. My guilty stains are plunged into the bottom of the ocean never to resurface again. All the adjectives in one’s vocabulary cannot adequately describe the depth of my gratitude for such a complete and selfless act of love. Your redeeming blood sacrifice frees us from the penalty of sin in this life and for all eternity. We thank You for Jesus who freely shed His blood on my behalf. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are privileged to vote on this historic election day. Our country is deeply divided, our biblical values are assaulted daily, and our personal freedoms are diminishing year after year. Yet we still have a voice in the electing of our governing officials. Lord, we pray for discernment in voting for our state and country’s leadership, from the highest office level to small town officials. We pray for our godly candidates that want to make a spiritual impact in the prevailing secularism of our land. Like Joseph, Daniel, David, and Paul, who influenced the government of their day, we pray for wise, fierce, and courageous leaders who will uphold standards that align with Scripture, that will seek to change laws that intimidate or penalize believers who practice their faith in the public arena. No matter the election outcome our trust is fixed on You, both here and now and for all eternity. In the precous name of Jesus we thank and ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, Thank You for sending Jesus to be our good Shepherd. Just like the shepherd willingly lays his life down for his sheep, Jesus also willingly laid down His life for us. He took on our adversary, the devil, who takes people captive for his own diabolical plans. Christ struck down the devil’s scheme to enslave and devour us, and his plan for death and the grave. Instead Jesus became to the doorway to You, Father when He told the disciples, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by me.” We thank You, Jesus for being the door to our eternal salvation, when You laid down Your life for us, through Your shed blood. In Your name we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, I am thankful for the life You have given me and that You care enough about me to send Your One and only Son to die in my place so that I could have life. Lord Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. You’ve given us the roadmap to follow through the guidance of Your Holy Scriptures. You’ve established that Your way is the only way to eternal life. It is the only way that we can have victory in our walk here on earth and the assurance of a victorious eternity in heaven. Just as John the Baptist went before You preparing straight paths, I thank You for going before me preparing the way for my journey. Though Scripture describes the Christian’s walk as being a straight and narrow path it certainly has steep inclines and its route will also take me through deep valleys. If I wander off-course I’m grateful for Your Holy Spirit who reminds me of my commitment to follow You and the importance of my example to those who walk beside me or behind me. Let us not veer from our heavenly destination. In You name I ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, none of the celebrations we’ve ever attended compare with the overwhelming joy we’ll feel at the ultimate victory celebration in heaven. We’ll rejoice with the saints from all generations telling of the marvelous saving and sustaining power of Christ. We look forward to sharing stories about the times we faced trouble, hardship, persecution or danger and the miraculous way that You sustained us through those difficulties. We’re not there yet, so help us to keep on keeping on, until that glorious day! It is in the matchless name of Jesus that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You extend mercy to the downtrodden, to those rejected by society, and to all who realize their need for a Savior. You sent Jesus to earth not just to mingle and fellowship with the chosen few, but to call out those who acknowledge their souls are diseased and the only hope they have for spiritual healing is experienced by salvation through Christ Jesus. He is the Great Physician who can make us whole. We want to press on to know Him more fully and bring along as many as we can to meet the Healer and Savior of our souls. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, when those aboard the ship in Acts 27 were looking at the gloomy forecast that appeared for many days their hopes diminished day by day. So often that’s what leads us to defeat; we fear the raging storm and the damage it will do, instead of looking to the One who controls the wind and waves. We consider those suffering today, reminding us that You are a God of the impossible, bringing hope in the midst of devastation, restoration in the midst of brokenness, comfort when our hearts are hurting, courage that will enable us to take the first step toward the change You want to bring about. Today we bring a message of hope, not based on what we see, but in the hope we have through the Holy Spirit as we trust in You. We ask and thank You in the name of Jesus. Amen. |
