Heavenly Father, Your Word is sure and pure, and venturing our souls upon it, we shall find it a shield against temptations, a safe protection in the midst of greatest dangers. Thank You for Your son Jesus, Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, Prince of Peace. By Him, You made all that was made, and by Him He controls all things. Jesus, just as Peter confessed I too confess with my lips and declare with my life, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Satan, the champion masquerader, seeks to weaken my confession of faith, but will be proven ineffective as I fix my eyes on You, Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of my faith. In the flurry of constant activity and daily struggles keep me watchful, always looking to You so that I don’t stumble and fall. And yet by Your grace, should I stumble, You do not cast me down, but uphold me with Your right hand. It is through Your mercy that I will be faithful to the end. Thank You, Jesus and by Your name I pray this. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Words through apostle Paul: "Because I preach the Good News, I suffer and I am even chained like a criminal. But the word of God is not in chains, and so I endure everything for the sake of God's chosen people, in order that they too may obtain the salvation that comes through Christ Jesus and brings eternal glory. This is a true saying: "If we have died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we continue to endure, we shall also rule with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. if we are not faithful, He remains faithful, because He cannot be false to himself." Father God, we are among the redeemed because Jesus accepted His mission on earth and wholly completed it. He drank from the bitter cup fully giving His all to provide forgiveness for our sins. We who have sought forgiveness are the redeemed and now have a mission to freely share the life-changing message of salvation with those who so desperately need to hear it. We do so in Jesus’ name and through His power. Amen. Heavenly Father, I have called on You because You answer me, O God. Turn Your ear toward me. Hear what I have to say. I continue in prayer and watch in it with thanksgiving as Your Word says. Lord, we are so grateful for the power of prayer and its positive affect in our lives. Yet we confess that we don’t avail ourselves to Your prescribed means of communication nearly as often as we should. Jesus quoted Scripture when refuting Satan’s temptations in the wilderness experience and He spent time in intense prayer when He needed strength, courage, and faith for the trials that lay ahead. We likewise pray for our brothers and sisters, that their faith in You will mature and that they will remain faithful in times of testing. We pray for ourselves that we will stand firm and remain confident in our Christian faith as we oppose the evil forces in this world. In the precious name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen. Heavenly Father, You created the Heavens and the earth and all that are within them. There will be a time very soon that this earth as we know it will gone, but You Lord, never change. You are exalted over all the nations and Your glory fills the heavens. You are great and greatly to be praised. There is no other One who sits enthroned in the heavens and yet whose Spirit hears the very sigh of my heart. You hear my prayer before it is even whispered on my lips. You know my need even before I am aware of it and yet Your greatness never keeps me at a distance. Instead You invite me to approach the throne of grace and have audience with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, both in seasons of rejoicing and in times of need. Thank You, Almighty One who exists from eternity to eternity. It is through Jesus that we approach You in prayer. Amen. Heavenly Father, the craziness continues a week after the elections and this country seems to be more divided then ever. Lord, I do believe that there is going to be a healing to this land and it's people. Thank You Lord for pointing verses out to me on being humble. James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Hallelujah! 1Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Lord, help us not to be like the Pharisees of old who were proud of their spiritual accomplishments, mingling only with those of like mind. You have called us to reach out to the lost and dying, to be examples of Your saving grace, to share the salvation message with those whose eternal future hangs in the balance. Just as we were rescued from the domain of darkness, we want to snatch others from that darkness as well. We throw out the lifeline of salvation through the cleansing blood of Jesus our Lord as we pull them to eternal safety. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Holy scriptures that show us Your love for us and how to live a life that is pleasing to You. Lord, help us to prayerfully apply Your Scriptures so that we can learn to be content in any and every situation. A godly contentment will fill our hearts with peace in place of an anxious heart that keeps us in angst as we struggle to obtain the newest or latest gadget or comfort. Help us to fix our eyes on You, not others as we pursue holiness. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You know everything about us. When we awake, when we sleep and our very thoughts. There isn't anything that You don't know about each of us. You know my tendency to worry and fret about circumstances and people dear to my heart. Thank You for giving me Scriptural wisdom in how to deal with this ongoing weakness that robs me of Your joy and peace. As I seek first Your kingdom I will look to Your Word rather than the unending problems that lead me to a worrisome state of mind. As I read Scripture over and over that pertains to my needs, it replaces the time spent worrying over and over about the problems at hand. Meditation on Your Word is similar to worry in that I turn Scriptural promises over and over in my mind. You replace my worried thoughts with divine wisdom and peaceful reassurance as my heart is open to You when looking for answers to my problems. Help me to seek You above all else and trust Your overflowing provision for all that concerns me today. It is in Jesus name that I pray. Amen Heavenly Father, You are a loving Father. You are with us, so who can be against us. We can see so many verses that show You love Your children. Many verses showing You are our shield. Just as a loving parent takes the hand of a wobbly child to love, lead, protect, and steady him so it is with You, Father, who upholds us with Your righteous right hand. After all, it is Jesus at Your right hand who is always interceding for us. No tempest storm can overtake You and no earth shattering event perplexes You. As we walk in Your ways help us to cling tightly to Your loving, protective hand so that we don’t veer off-course or become faint-hearted. We want to exchange fear for trust, replace self-reliance with God-reliance and depend upon Your plan rather than our own. In Jesus name I ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, nowhere in the Bible does it say that being a Christian we wouldn't have tempest in our lives, but You show us examples of how when we place our trust in You, You will see us through those storms. A perfect example is found in Acts 27. When those aboard the ship were looking at the gloomy forecast that appeared for many days their hopes diminished day by day. So often that’s what leads us to defeat; we fear the raging storm and the damage it will do, instead of looking to the One who controls the wind and waves. We consider that have suffered as a result of Hurricane, tornadoes, tsunamis and other storms that have hit the world in the past centuries and it reminds me that You are a God of the impossible, bringing hope in the midst of devastation, restoration in the midst of loss. Lord I pray that when these times come that there will be Christian believers who will bring the life-saving message of Jesus Christ to the hearts of the suffering and bring a message of hope, not based on what they see, but in the hope we have through the Holy Spirit as we trust in You. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, it was exciting to read about Your kids in the book of Revelation. Rev 7:15-17 KJV Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Lord, I ask that out of Your glorious riches that You might strengthen your children with power through Your Spirit in their inner beings, so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith. We pray that they, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that they may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. In the precious name of Your Son, Jesus, we pray. Amen. |
