Heavenly Father, You knew us before we were in out mothers womb. You know every hair on our heads. So Lord, knowing that, I believe that You have called us Your servants, to exercise our gifts of prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, contributing to the needs of others, leading, and being vessels of Your mercy. Lord, I ask You to help us not to be fearful or timid in exercising our spiritual gifts that flows from Your power within us, since it is not for our own glory but rather for the building up of the body of Christ. We are inadequate within ourselves, but fully sufficient according to the grace given us through Your Holy Spirit. We seek affirmation from You, the ministry opportunities You provide us, and other mature believers, to confirm our spiritual giftings. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Heavenly Father, when we are said to be born again, there is a change in us. The old sinful man is gone. We are a new creation. Praise Jesus! Lord, I thank You for changing me and for molding me into someone that brings honor and glory to Your name. Lord, Your Word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You; for it teaches me to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before You. Even when it brings about hurtful circumstances help me to do the right thing in keeping with the Christ-filled nature I received upon the day of my salvation. May I not be found lacking in integrity but rather be characterized by my integrity as it honors my Father in heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me and caring for me. I look to You for guidance in my life and I stand in awe of Your never failing streams of mercy. Lord, I know that Your promises are new every morning. Help me to remember that each day as I awake and prepare to start my day. May the joy of Your love be the first thing my mind settles on at the break of day. Lord as I prepare this prayer for today, I am reminded of what Your servant said in: Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. (5) Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. (6) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (7) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord for Your Word. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, I know that true wisdom from You is the principle thing in my life. It is that which recommends us to You, which beautifies the soul, which enables us to answer the ends of our creation, to live to some good purpose in the world and which makes our path brighter and brighter until we get to heaven at last. Praise Jesus! Lord, thank You for that light. I put my trust and my faith in Jesus. Through Your Word I learn that I am to walk in a way of light. Christ is my way and Christ is the light. I am guided by the Bible which is a light to their feet. Thank you Jesus and in You name I pray and thank. Amen Heavenly Father, there are new cults rising up everyday. We can see new teachings being taught in many churches that sound biblical, but have a twist to it and many are being deceived without even realizing it. Lord, help us to watch out and be on our guard so that we are not deceived by man’s words, no matter how convincing they are, how charming their personality, or how cunning their craft. Help us not to fall for Satan’s deceptive tactics that have brought down believers throughout the church age. We seek You for strength and discipline. We search the Scriptures for discernment and the true revelation of who Jesus is; the Son of the Living God. It is in His name that we pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You with heaviness in my heart over the attacks in Paris. Lord, I know these kinds of things are going to come swifter as we approach the day of the Lord. So many die without knowing You each day. I know what You have done in my life. I know the things Jesus set me free of. I know the peace I now have in my heart and is what I long for others to have. Lord, I thank You that You are no respecter of persons. You are not willing that any should perish but that all would have everlasting life. Thank You for not treating us as our sins deserve. Instead You deal with us in Your mercy and love through the provision of Your Son’s death offered as a sacrifice for our sins. Just as we have received Your mercy, we want to reach others with the message of forgiveness as we seek to fill Your house. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You Lord for the ministry you have blessed me with. I thank You for the compassion for others and the tools needed to help meet their needs. Lord as I read from Your Word this morning there should be a big concern for those that teach Your ways. I find proud and ambitious men projecting their own advancement by thrusting themselves into a place to which You have not appointed them, hurry on to a shameful fall. Yet those who have been true to Christ need not fear being slurred by others. Men who are most serviceable are often abused most shamefully. Lord, let my ambitions always be to please You, even though those persecutions may come. In Jesus name I pray. Amen Heavenly Father, as I learn more about You from Your Word, being in prayer and trusting You more, there are things that I used to question that make more sense. Lord, we know there is a deeper work within our soul which cannot be accomplished by mere physical exercise. Just as we train our bodies to submit to a rigorous routine of endurance, abstinence, and sacrifice, we must apply the same training tools to bring our spirits into submission to Your will for our lives. We must train ourselves to be godly. Though physical training is of value in this life, godliness has value for all things, and holds promise not only for the present life but also the life to come. Help us to pursue this noble task that brings honor and glory to Your name. In the powerful name of Jesus I thank and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, We can lean so much from You about a fathers role. Lord, we recognize from Scripture that You long to be gracious to Your children, to show them compassion and give them direction. You bless those who wait upon You. Though you give us the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, you also give us teachers, prophets, and believing friends who affirm or challenge us as we seek Your face and Your will for our lives. As we hold up the lamp of Your Word to lighten the path before us, how good it is to hear Your voice behind us saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” You’ve promised that You will never leave us or forsake us. Darkness will not overtake us, for You are the Light of the World, and in You there is no darkness at all. Thank You for Your reassuring presence that You walk with us step by step on this day. I give thanks and ask this in the name of my Savior, Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, as I quieted my mind this morning and began to spend time in Your word, I am reminded of a time where there will be pain and sorrow. No more suffering. Lord Jesus, You were King of the heavens before time was begun and You will be King for all eternity. What joy and assurance that truth brings to our spirits today. Our temporal burdens are lightened when we transport our hearts to the New Jerusalem where there is no temple in the City because You, Lord God Almighty are the City’s temple. The City won’t need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because Your glory is its light, and the Lamb is the City’s lamp. By its light the people of the world will walk. The City’s gates will never be shut on any day, because there is no night there. Nothing unclean and no one who does shameful things or tells lies will ever go into it. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life will enter the City. Heal our land and forgive us of our sins. We want to walk earnestly with you on this earth and live with joyous anticipation of eternity in heaven. In the blessed name of Jesus we pray. Amen. |
