Heavenly Father, we thank You for the redeeming blood of Jesus that imparts mercy and pardon for my sins. Wretched as I may be, Your mercy is greater! Only a God like You chooses to delight in expressing mercy to the undeserving masses that defy Your Holy Name. Thank You for reaching me in the depth of my sin and raising me to the height of Your Holiness – it’s only through Your blood and it’s only through Your mercy that I come and You joyfully welcome me! Words cannot express my eternal gratitude for such indescribable love. I thank You Lord and I pray this in the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I am reminded of the questions you asked Job. Lord, you are everywhere. When one stops and thinks about all You created and what we read about Heaven and then the Holy Spirit guiding believers, it is hard to fathom, but we believe in faith. Lord God, You physically reign in a place invisible to my eyes while Your Holy Spirit with His invisible qualities is at work deep within my heart. Though I cannot see You I recognize Your masterful handiwork. Though I cannot touch You I feel Your divine presence. Only a God like You is great enough to mastermind the universe, yet small enough to live within my heart. Father, You have made Your wonders to be remembered and appreciated. You are gracious and compassionate; Your presence is seen and felt everywhere. I acknowledge You as the Creator of the universe and the Light of my life, for You are my Lord and Master from eternity past to all eternity future. Thank You Lord and in Jesus name I ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for another day to share the gospel with the world and to show Your love by my words, my actions and through generosity. Lord, it is only through the sacrificial blood of Your Son that my sins are forgiven. My guilty stains are plunged into the bottom of the ocean never to resurface again. All the adjectives in one’s vocabulary cannot adequately describe the depth of my gratitude for such a complete and selfless act of love. Your redeeming blood sacrifice frees us from the penalty of sin in this life and for all eternity. We thank You for Jesus who freely shed His blood on my behalf and it is in Your name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, most enjoy a pat on the back when they have done good deeds along with favorable comments. As a Christian, there are many times that we do good or take a position, in accordance to the Bible, that results in our being ridiculed, mocked, leaving us conflicted within our emotions. Lord, as we become a disciple, those challenging times come more frequent. Lord, I ask for those brothers and sisters that are becoming more and more like Jesus in their faith walk, that You would increase the importance of eternity in our hearts so that we don’t become weary of doing good and that we don't expect rewards here and now. Help us to remember, in many instances, the proper time that we reap a harvest will not be on this side but on the other side of eternity. Above all, remind us through Your Holy Spirit, that we choose to do good because it pleases You. May the fulfillment of pleasing You be of much greater importance than pleasing or impressing those among us. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, we all go through times of anger, but in Your Word, Jesus demonstrated how to deal with these issues. He taught about turning the other cheek. He taught about forgiveness. We are to stay above the fray and sin not. There are times when it is appropriate to be angry such as when we see a person harming another individual; when we have been lied to; or when we have been unfairly accused. These circumstances along with many others stir up strong emotions with us and often require a response to the matter. Keep us prayerful as we are quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. May we respond as Jesus did to His many accusers, though innocent, He spoke not a word in His defense. And may we be careful not to keep a scoreboard of others offenses. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus who forgives us and does not count our sins against us, but rather took them upon Himself. Amen. Heavenly Father, we can read so many things about Your Word through scriptures, but until a person gets to the point of spending time in it, reading, studying and believing in faith that it is true, they won't experience that for themselves. You bless those those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. The sweetness of Your Word is like honey in our mouth that reminds us of Your faithfulness, Your goodness and Your mercy that overflows into our lives as You forgive us of our sins and provide us with an abundant life. Your Words are a sweet savor to our soul as we walk obediently according to Your Word. It gives long life. It is medicine to the soul. These are just a few things and I am so thankful to have and trust in it everyday. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, we know that the reason Jesus Christ, (The Anointed One) came into the the world not to be a great teacher and reformer, but to die as a ransom for sinners of whom there are two classes—the sinner who thinks himself righteous (as did Paul before converted) and the sinner who feels himself a sinner. Father God, You are immortal, invisible, God only wise. All of creation is subject to Your authority so we, along with millions of other committed believers, choose to bow our knee and lift our hands toward You, our blessed and only Ruler, the king of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal. You live in unapproachable light, but we can and do worship You in Spirit and in truth. We worship and honor You in this life and will do through the eons of time. Thank You Jesus, for coming into this world as You did and dying as You did for my sins and the sins of the world. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen! Heavenly Father, You created us to be people who function and thrive by light. Your placement of the sun by day and the moon by night is the way You provide for our physical needs enabling us to see clearly as we carry out our multitude of duties. As important as light is for the eyes to see, it is even more essential that the eyes of our heart see the magnificent light of Your glory. As we walk in Your light we will be able to discern that which is evil from that which is good. We know that goodness cannot partner with wickedness for there is no harmony between You and the devil so help us to be consistent not only in what we speak but the manner in which we live so that the fruit of light is evident in all we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we can see Your heart all through Your Word. We can see in so many places where You want to bless Your people. We praise You! You're looking for those who’ll love You, and to prove our love to You, we must obey You. You say, “How I wish My people would listen to Me; how I wish they’d obey Me!” Lord, we cannot remain neutral but must stand for that which is good or we will fall for that which is evil. Help us, as believers, to cling to that which is good even when it comes at great sacrifice. With the aid of Your Holy Spirit, we will be keenly discerning of the spirits of this age. Philosophies of this world must never trump principles from the Word. We look to You alone, for “There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, some of us remember the horrific events that played out fifteen years ago day as it was yesteryear. Father, with solemn hearts and painful memories we remember the extremely wicked events that took place on 9/11/01. Though we witnessed mayhem and saw evil at its worst, mercifully, we also witnessed acts of goodness at their best. Father God, help us to spread the overflowing, enduring hope that does not diminish in the midst of evil, but instead it directs our attention to the unseen future kingdom, the New Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem where Your presence is with Your people for all eternity. Where You will wipe away every tear from our eyes and there will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain, because all the old ways are gone, and You will make all things new. Thank You Lord for that constant reminder that when when those storms come, You are and always will be in control. In Jesus name. Amen. |
