Heavenly Father, I come to You with a thankful heart. I come to You laying all my burdens upon You, so that I can find that rest. Help us not be afraid of the emotional messiness that certain burdens bring. Help us know how to rely on Your presence more than we rely on our words. I want to be aware of my limits, but I want to be even more aware of Your limitless mercy, grace, power, and peace. Lord, I find often with so many and also in my life, one of the greatest griefs is to find ourselves deceived in some who have made great pretentions to friendship in the name of religion, but if our minds are on Christ and Heavenly places, we will always have peace of heart, for His peace passes understanding. Thank You Jesus. I thank You Lord for Your promises. For so long I had read this scripture, but until I actually turned those problems over to You, it wasn't real in my heart. I didn't experience Your rest not did I know what it meant for You to sustain me. To hold me up and to guide me. Thank You Lord and I pray that You use me to show others the importance of throwing those burdens off of themselves. In the powerful name of Jesus I pray. Amen

Heavenly Father, thank You for the book of revelation. Lord, reading form this book this morning, I am strengthened and encouraged through the vision the Apostle John received while imprisoned on the isle of Patmos. When he saw the Son of man he fell at his feet as though he were dead. Jesus’ words of assurance to John and to each of us some two thousand years later helps to still my fears and reminds me that I serve a living, risen Christ. “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever.” Because Jesus lives we live also! I praise You Jesus and it is in Your name I pray. Amen Heavenly Father, thank You for another glorious day. Lord, I ask that You guide me in all ways today. Guide me in my speech, actions and deeds. The people in this world are hurting and we don’t want to turn the other way when You bring into our view the hurting and neglected people of the world. When we see the hungry or thirsty, the stranger in need of clothing, the sick and frail, those imprisoned, and the countless other oppressing needs among us Your loving compassion compels us to reach out in whatever way we can to be an extension of Your kingdom. For we know that when we do it for those considered the least on earth we not only empower and bless them but we also obey and please You. May the “evidence of the grace of God” be visible in our attitudes and in our actions as we respond to the opportunities You give us everyday. In the name of Jesus we pray. Heavenly Father, Your thoughts are not our thoughts and Your ways are not our ways. You are the vine, we are the branches. When we stay connected to You, we are tapped into Your power, wisdom and strength.Father God, we thank You that You shine Your light through us most especially in unusual circumstances in which we find ourselves. We are to let our lights shine before others that they may see our good works and glorify You in heaven. There are times when we cry out, “No More! I just can’t do this anymore.” But Father, in Your infinite wisdom You give us daily strength and spiritual resolve to carry on in the darkest of circumstances so that the light of Christ might be made manifest in our lives. We will carry the light of Your salvation through our words, our actions, and the way in which we seek to be fruitful and bloom where we are planted. Thank You Lord and in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for being the perfect Father. I am reminded of Psalms 96 this morning. Psalms 96:1-13 KJV O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. 2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. 3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. 4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. 5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. 6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. 7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. 8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. 9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. 10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. 11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. 12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice 13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth. Lord, Your creation which reaches back to the beginning of time and for that which is created this very moment we recognize You as our sovereign Lord. All that we have and all that we are is an act of Your generous and benevolent mercy extended to all generations, past, present and future. God of this morning, we thank You for the opportunities this day provides for us to sing to You a new song and to bring glory to Your name. God of tomorrow, we trust You for that which will bring about rejoicing and that which will bring forth sorrow, gain or loss. Blessed be the name of the One who gives and takes away. God of past ages, You are the same yesterday, today and forever. We trust in You – forever faithful, changing never God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three in One. I praise You Lord and I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for another day that we can spread the good news of Jesus. Lord another day that we can carry out those things You would have us do to further Your Kingdom. Lord, we pray that You will help us to grow in Your grace and knowledge, that we will continue to mature in our Christian walk. Help us to grow in the things of Christ. Scripture, repeatedly, indicates that spiritual maturity is a result of enduring trials of various kinds. In the midst of these trials Your soft prompting or guidance through Scripture, through other believers, and through the circumstances we face can easily be ignored when self gets in the way. Today we make every effort to add to our faith those characteristics that will sustain and grow us in our Christian walk. In so doing we will be effective and productive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, during times of ease but even more so during times of difficulty. Father, help us to produce that fruit that You have called us to do. That fruit which is eternal. Keep us faithful and keep us growing, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You with a thankful heart. Lord, it is exciting to see the people You have You have brought into my life from all over the world. It is exciting to see the friendships that have been developed and see the seed that have been sown into some of their lives. Lord, I praise You and thank You for Your Son, Jesus and His compassionate approach in reaching people of all ages, all backgrounds and various ethnicities. The parables and messages He shared as the crowds gathered are life-transforming as they enlighten the hearts and minds of those who have ears to hear the truths He spoke. Likewise we too can share the life transforming message of the gospel to people in all walks of life and every derivation of sin. None is beyond the all-powerful reach of the Savior who died that we might live victoriously here and eternally in the hereafter. It is in His name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, what promises found in the book of Psalms 90. Thank You Lord. Father God,You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. From everlasting to everlasting You are God. A thousand years in Your sight is like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass of the morning though in the morning it springs up new, by evening it is dry and withered. The length of our days is seventy years– or eighty, if we have the strength; they quickly pass, and we fly away. Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble. May Your deeds be shown to Your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us as You establish the work of our hands through Christ Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I praise You for the the ones that you are leading me to. Father, I am finding so many that have learned from strange beliefs about You and Your Kingdom. Father, I know that there is many scriptures dealing with what was and is now entering into the church. So many false beliefs. Lord, I ask myself, “Am I living in a manner worthy of Your name? Do I seek to please You rather than myself? Does the fruit of my labor reflect the Spirit of Christ living within my heart? Do I have a zeal for the things of Christ and a desire to know Him better, to reflect His character every day in my life? Am I steady or do I sputter in my Christian influence?” Father, in all these things I want to be more like Christ, consistent in the ways that bring glory to Your name and growth in my spiritual nature. I want my spiritual walk to be the most important pursuit of my life as I journey here below so that I may influence as many as possible to live for Jesus. It is in His name that I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are constantly working on me. Constantly purging me making me more like Your Son, Jesus. Lord, we thank You that the veil was taken away when we left this world and turned to You. We, who now have unveiled faces contemplate Your glory even as we are being transformed into the image of Christ with ever-increasing glory, which comes from You. But even still our flesh battles our spirit from day to day as we travel through this life so we must regularly weigh-in on the scales of Your Holy Word to see where we are lacking. We need regular perspective from Your Holy Word, lest we form attitudes and behaviors that reflect the pattern of this world. We want to be transformed daily by the renewing of our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus that we might be more and more like Him. It is in His name that we pray. Amen. |
