Heavenly Father, we pray for a sincere heart that is sensitive to Biblical truths as they apply to our lives. We struggle with forgetfulness and indifference – twin enemies of a living vibrant relationship with You. We earnestly seek You for spiritual revival; revival that includes messengers who challenge our indifference toward modern accepted philosophies of this world rather than the life-changing godly truths of the Gospel; revival for those who sit in the church pews week after week who hear the Scriptures expounded upon but leave unyielded to the working of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Revive both the messenger and listener so that our lives are a demonstration of the reality of a vibrant walk with Your Son, Jesus, our living Savior and Lord. It is in His name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, though I am called to go through many hardships, there isn’t one that I face alone. in my folly You are the God of infinite wisdom, and in my fear I take hold of the hope You offer to me which is firm and secure. You will not abandon the work of Your hands but fulfill Your purpose for me as You strengthen, sustain, and instruct me during times of testing. I do not want to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. Keep me faithful to the end. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen. Heavenly Father, we accept Your invitation to come and drink freely from Your inexhaustible supply of life-giving water, to hydrate ourselves spiritually. May Your springs of living water overflow to those around us as it springs forth in our words, our actions and in our thoughts. We also pray for those who work each day in harm’s way such as the military, the police and other law enforcement individuals. We pray for those whose occupation can be dangerous or hazardous, that they will take every precaution and heed the warnings related to their kind of work. We thank You for the many times we have all been in harm’s way, barely avoiding an accident, because You sent our guardian angel to protect us. You are mindful and protective of our comings and goings and the many times each day that we avoid injury or death. Thank You for redirecting, refreshing, and replinishing our spirit with Your life-giving, eternal water. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we’re grateful for the teaching and example of those who are older. So much wise advice can be gleaned from the elderly who have experienced the ups and downs of life, the putting into practice of your Scriptural truths, the overcomings and even the failings that teach us what we should avoid and what we need to put into practice. We need each other; the young need to observe the senior’s life’s experiences and endurance. The older need the help of the youth’s strength and vitality. It’s all a part of life’s cycle here on earth. Help us to appreciate, respect and observe each season of life. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, we pray for the persecuted church today. We pray for our brothers and sisters in distant lands suffering at the hands of those whose lack of compassion and evil means knows no bounds. May the comforting presence of Your Holy Spirit be as soothing salve and a healing ointment deep within their souls. We pray for the family members separated from their loved ones. Speak peace and divine purpose into their spirit as You remind them that their loved one is standing with fortitude and courage in the very face of evil. We pray for those who persecute and hold these innocent believers captive. May the very testimony and courage of these believers be as a shining light in the darkened prison of these captor’s very troubled souls. Convict them of their sins and deliver them from Satan’s army of evildoers. We pray for the families, churches, and communities of those who have paid the ultimate price for standing firm in their faith. Like Stephen, James, John, the disciples, and millions throughout the centuries, they laid down their temporal mortal flesh below and put on their eternal immortal spirit on the other side. You use these human tragedies to stir people’s hearts and to broadcast the message of salvation often bringing about repentance and reform. Nothing we do for you is in vain but works for the greater purpose of spreading the gospel. And lastly, we pray for our own country that is changing drastically day by day. The god of secularism is trying to wipe out Your presence in every public forum: the media, our government, the schools, the workplace, the marketplace. People who hold deep convictions based upon the Holy Word of God are being maligned, mocked, persecuted and fined for their firmly held beliefs, costing them their savings, their livelihood. Especially prone to attack are those who hold the Biblical view concerning the sacredness of marriage and the sanctity of life. The Bible is being removed from the military even as it has been removed from the public schools in recent decades. Father, we might despair but instead we pray for a mighty revival within the church spilling out into all the places of influence, especially the family unit. May revival start right here within our own hearts, helping us to stand firm in these troubling times. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, as ambassadors of Your heavenly Kingdom, we want to be keenly sensitive to those whose difficulties seem overwhelming. Some of our brothers and sisters are weighed down with troubling circumstances that might overtake them if not for those of us who take them by the arm and pull them up out of the quicksand of discouragement that ultimately leads to despair. Help me to do my part to strengthen my brother or sister in their faith journey. Reveal to me the way that I can show genuine concern for the unbeliever, through my caring words and in my loving deeds, who needs to see the love of Christ represented in human form. In the blessed name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we read in the first chapter of the Bible where You spoke to Jesus, “Let us make man in our own image.” We also see His presence in the last chapter of the Bible where Jesus declares that He is coming soon and spoke these words, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” From the beginning of creation until the end of the age Christ has gone before us, walked alongside us, and will reign throughout all eternity. It is Christ Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, who directs our steps, sustains us, and empowers us to walk in accordance to Scripture day in and day out. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path giving direction when I would otherwise be led astray. Help me to daily remember that You do the leading and I do the following, since You know all things including the past, present and future. In Your infinite knowledge and wisdom You watch over me, care for my needs, and remind me of the very important command, “Do not be dismayed for I am your God.” Sometimes we become discouraged and confused about matters that make no sense to us which leads us to doubt and second guess Your overall plan. But in Your omniscience You remind us that You are our God, You know all things, You will strengthen and uphold us by Your righteous right hand. Infinite God, we are thankful to You! In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Father, we desire to please you and You have told us how to do that; to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with You. When we commit ourselves to following these commands we will finish well, for the glory of Your name. We will finish strong until the Saviour calls us home. When we surrender all, we will fight the good fight, we will finish the race, and we will keep the faith not turning to the right nor to the left, but walking the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal righteousness. And we desire to take as many with us as we can possibly influence for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You indicate in Scripture that the righteous live by faith; and if he shrinks back, You will take no pleasure in him.* When we live by faith we find inner joy and lasting hope from Your promises, not only those already fulfilled but those yet to come. At the end of our earthly existence You promise to end our sufferings and to receive us unto Yourself, rewarding our faithfulness by giving to us a crown of life. We must press on, ever persevering, to win the prize of the high calling which we have received through Christ Jesus our Lord. With the prize clear before our eyes, Lord, we will find the strength to press on and not shrink back. We ask this in the name above all name. Thank You Jesus. Amen. |
