Heavenly Father, families are on my heart this morning. Lord, in this country if one was to pick up the newspaper or to watch a half our of news, they would see that most of what is going on goes totally against what You have planned for us. The things being taught in the classrooms of our children and grandchildren teach against You. Lord I hear in the news of laws where little boys and girls can now use rest rooms and shower rooms together in school. Lord, I pray for our children and grandchildren. Even though some of the filth is being taught, that parents and grandparents get involved, teaching of the ways of You. I pray that these children may grow in faith as they grows in years. May they walk in the ways of Christ, and not in the ways of the world. Keep their steps safe, but should they stumble, we know You will uphold them with Your right hand. When tempted by the devil we pray that You will deliver them and remind them of the Biblical principles they learned from their earliest memories. We commit them to Your loving care and watchful eye. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Often we as believers hear from the unbelievers, "How can you believe in a God you cannot see? How can You hear from a God you cannot see" My Lord and Savior, though You do not walk visibly among us, You do reveal Yourself through the minds, the hearts, and the actions of Your followers. You also reveal Yourself to us through Your Word (Jesus). May the light of Jesus shine forth from us so that the unbeliever can sift through the confusing ungodly messages of this world and the counterfeits of this age. May they see through our words and actions “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” We especially lift up to You our friends and loved ones who have been blinded by the god of this age. We pray that You would dispel their doubts, fears, and unbelief, replacing these faith destroyers with confidence, courage and peace that comes through believing in and knowing You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I often hear from others questioning why I choose to follow You when I might be going through a storm. They often make comments like. "If God is so loving, why would He allow this or that." No where does Your word say that there won't be problems that arise, but in fact we read just the opposite. Lord, what others need to know is that You are a shelter in the time of storm and a refuge in the time of danger. You not only protect but You provide for our every need. The cross is our refuge where we flee from the penalty of sin and it is our provision for eternal life because we now approach the throne of grace through the righteous blood of Jesus the spotless Lamb. Because of that we can enter heaven’s gates and forever worship the King of kings and Lord of lords. And it’s all because of Jesus through whom we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank you for the life You have given me and the friends and family that You have brought into my life. Lord, each morning as I spend in quiet time with You you share amazing things with me. Sometimes it is scripture that You reveal to me in a way that I had never know before and other times it is something that I have known but needed to be reminded of for myself, or for someone that I might be talking to within the next couple days. I thank You Lord for knowing all things and that we can count on You always being in control. Lord, we testify today to the marvelous grace of Christ Jesus our Lord. His loving grace exceeds our sin and our guilt, making it possible for us to have our sins completely forgiven. What He did on Calvary brought hope from despair, and turned the gloom of death into the brightness of eternity. When our walk on earth seems long or dreary, precious Lord, linger near as You uphold us with Your mighty right hand. Lord, I thank You for Your love and Your faithfulness. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, I praise You each morning for what You have done in my life. Though You aren't done with me yet, I know that my speech is different, my actions and the way think about others and how I respond is now done in love. Thank You Jesus! Lord, Your love reaches beyond the heavens and surpasses earthly dimensions. Thank You, Father, that as we are rooted and established in Your love, we are empowered by Your Holy Spirit to soar on wings like eagles as we are renewed day by day. Your love flows through us so that those who look on can see human lives impacted by Your love. To know the fullness of Your love is to know a love that has no prejudices, no boundaries and no limitations. What wondrous love is this! My Lord and Savior, thank You for that love and I ask this prayer in Your mighty name. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect plan. This morning I have the missionaries on my heart. Lord, each one of us You have given a gift. Though each one of us is called to be a witness for You, there are those You send out to other lands. Lord, we thank You for those who make known the “unknown God” to the people of a foreign land or right here in our own homeland. More and more we hear of those who pray or look to a “higher power” for help in their day to day struggles. How unfortunate for them if they do not know You personally to be the Highest Power available to all creation. From the very beginning You created a hunger within our hearts to serve you, but far too many misfeed that hunger and rather look to “gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill”. Instead we are to feed our spiritual hunger by serving You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. As we draw near to You, You promise to draw near to us. Thank You for making Yourself known to us in Your Word as we immerse ourselves in Your truths. I pray and ask this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are my God. You are my King above all gods and kings. As we see in Psalms 95, In Your hand are the very depths of the earth and the tips of the mountain peaks. The sea is Yours, for You made it and Your hands formed the dry land. We bow down before You in worship as our Shepherd, for we are Your people, the flock under Your care. We desire to hear Your voice so that our hearts do not harden toward You, like the Egyptians and later the Israelites as they were tested and tried. Keep us faithful and trusting You, in the good times and in the trying times. Christ is the Rock of our Salvation, therefore we must sing our songs of praise to Him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb. We are His under all possible obligations, being the people of His pasture, the sheep of His hand. By His hand we are led into green pastures, protected and provided for. Glory to the King! In name of my Savior I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, each day it seems that more is added to my plate. Some of these things are pleasant and others are things that are not my favorite things to do, but both require attention, time, and energy. Lord, You placed on my heart this ministry and I know that it brings eternal significance to others, so I ask You give me strength, endurance and desire to press on zealously, no matter the difficulty or seeming ineffectiveness. As I obey You I find reward and fulfillment in my spiritual walk and am investing in that which does not perish, spoil or fade. Keep me firm and immovable always abounding in Your work because I want to make an eternal difference and am confident that my work for You is never in vain. Thank You Lord Jesus and I ask this in Your name. Amen.. Heavenly Father, I praise You for a renewed mind. The things that please the flesh I no longer dwell upon. Lord, most of the thoughts and actions that used to be, I have no more and when they do come, it is easy to turn away from. Glory! Lord, because of Your Word and seeing a big difference in what Christ has done in me I know now that Satan’s delights bring only passing pleasure and then plunges me deeper into the cesspool of his incessant schemes. Lord, through the power of Your indwelling Holy Spirit, I can fight against the roaring lion who wants to devour my faith and even my very life. I seek after things that are higher and nobler and things unobtainable from this world, but obtainable through my growing relationship with You. Thank You Jesus for the work in me You have done, I pray that others will notice and desire the same for their life. In the name of Jesus, my Lord and my King, Amen. Heavenly Father, we can see from the great faith chapter in Your Word "No one can please You without faith. Whoever goes to You must believe that You exists and that You reward those who seek You". Lord, because I love Your commands more than worldly pleasures or temporal possessions I despise the paths that lead me astray like a lost sheep. You have gone before me and cleared the way so that I might follow in Your steps and the steps of other righteous, godly saints. I am comforted in knowing that I don’t walk alone, but I walk hand in hand with You as my Guide. Through eyes of faith I see a great cloud of witnesses, those spoken of in the Bible and those I’ve known in my lifetime, who’ve already finished the race cheering me on as I persevere in this path of righteousness. May I endure hardship as a form of discipline and may I wholeheartedly seek You above everything else, for You are a Rewarder of those who diligently seek You. May others in the world see the happiness that is in my heart and how I have put my trust in You even during the tough struggles and long for that peace You have given me. In the mighty name of Jesus I thank and pray. Amen. |
