Heavenly Father, we confess that we are weak and fearful people, apart from Your Holy Spirit that makes us valiant and strong as we stand up for Your righteousness. The conflicting philosophies, the indulgent sinful behaviors of humanity, the worship of creatures rather than our Creator, and the false religions that abound require us to be equipped daily in Your spiritual armor. Our struggle is not physical but spiritual in nature as the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces in the heavenly realms battle for our souls. This conflict will not end until we unite with You in heaven, so keep us vigilant and trusting as we do battle with our enemy. You are the captain of our army and we will be victorious as we follow Your every command. Help us to do so we pray in the blessed name of Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we want to run the Christian race wholeheartedly testifying to the gospel of Your grace all the days of our life. We choose to fight the good fight, and keep the faith as we finish the race. It’s not the one who runs the swiftest, nor the one who runs for a day, but the one who endures to the end who shall be saved. We anxiously await the rapturous moment when we cross the finish line from mortality into immortality, from death unto life eternal, when we will hear Your wonderful commendation, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” In the name above all other names we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, lay upon our hearts the unquenchable desire to pass on the gospel baton to others, the important truths we received from reliable followers of Christ and from our own study of Your Holy Word. Help us not to relegate our duties to others, but take up our responsibility as we link together with other believers all over the globe transmitting Your timeless, life-changing truths to those who have ears to hear. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, the spiritual race may have its twists and turns, its potholes and inclines that obscure the finish line, but by faith I will stay the course because You give me power when I feel faint and uplift me with strength when I am weak. Everlasting Father, Creator of the ends of the earth You do not grow weary or faint; Your understanding is vast beyond measure and Your might gives me strength when I grow weary and hope when I become discouraged helping me to rise as though I have wings as eagles. Help me to soar above the hurdles along life’s congested highway and give flight to those worries that would otherwise weigh me down. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father I acknowledge that I am a sinner. There is nothing good in me, and there is nothing in You but good. I choose to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who died for my sins so that I can receive forgiveness. I confess my sins, for they separate me from You. How thankful I am that Your blood covers all my sins, for Your Word indicates that even the vilest of sinners who truly believes that moment from Jesus a pardon receives. I have determined that I will run this race with the Lord and follow His Word all the days of my life. Each day I want to pray this in faith through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen. Heavenly Father, we look to You for strength and guidance on our life’s race. Your commands teach us the way we are to walk and the way we are to respond to the bumps and potholes we encounter on the journey. We want to run in the path of Your commands, because that is where You teach us how to follow Your decrees. You cheer us on by Christ’s example and by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit that sustains us in our struggle against sin. Keep us faithful to the end, for the end is only the beginning. We seek to run the race before us, strong and brave to face the foe, looking only unto Jesus as we onward go. It is in His name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, though the world can at times be like a bright shining neon light calling for our attention, allegiance, and allotment of time and money we must conform no longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The transformation of our minds involves so much more than following the do’s and don’ts of a particular church or denomination. When our minds are renewed our hearts are informed of that which is holy and that which will draw us deeper and higher in the love of Jesus, His teachings and His example. We will seek that which holds eternal value and reject the worldly influences that draw us back to a sinful lifestyle. We choose not to love the world, or the things of the world but instead we choose to love You, our heavenly Father through Christ Jesus our Redeemer and Savior. It is in His name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is in Your great name that we, the body of Christ come together and anchor our hope. In Your powerful name we cast down all that pertains to evil as we also raise up a standard that goes before us in our battle against the forces of darkness. We lift our hearts to You, gracious Father, seeking forgiveness and favor. As You view our troubled, sin-ridden nation we ask once again for mercy, for a visitation of Your Holy Spirit to overshadow, convict and heal our land, to renew our spirit so that it reflects the Spirit of Christ. Deepen our devotion and loyalty to You and the causes that are dear to Your heart. Do not give us over to our sins, as we deserve, but give us, instead, over to passionate prayer, a heart of repentance, and an obedient spirit that moves Your heart. “May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in You.” We pray that Your love will not only fill but overflow in our lives so that it is visible to those whom we seek to influence for the Kingdom. In the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, one of the greatest mysteries in the human experience is how You blend two individuals and make them become as one when they join together as husband and wife. The “me” becomes “us” in our shared interests and goals in life. Things are no longer “mine” but “ours.” Our times of celebration as well as times of sadness and loss become shared experiences. We honor marriage, recognizing the sacrifices and blessings that come to those who are joined in holy matrimony. We also recognize that our archenemy, Satan, is intent on destroying the very foundation of marriage that You established from the beginning. We uphold the institution of marriage as defined in Scripture and honor it in the way we speak of it and the way we live it out with our spouse. Thank You Precious Jesus and in Your name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I have always loved reading about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego The dynamic story of the three Hebrew men speaks of Your miraculous deliverance for all ages and throughout all generations. Their unyielding devotion to You is a tremendous model to those of us who call You our Father. It is by testing that we are strengthened and conformed into you likeness. Trials come upon us to produce perseverance, build character, and draw us closer to Jesus. They also enable us to help others in similar situations. Because of our own personal experience we have a greater sense of how to reach out to them, and pray for them in their hour of need. We want to be found faithful no matter the circumstance so help us to have a “but if not” faith that keeps us steady and trusting, giving no room for doubt and fear. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. |
