Heavenly Father, we can see scriptures all through the first books of the Bible foretelling of Jesus coming into the world and of things He would do and things to be done to Him. We thank You for Jesus who redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. The nails bore His body to the tree, and yet our sin condition bore His Spirit to the cross of Calvary. He who knew no sin became sin for us – what an unsurpassed substitutionary death our Savior sacrificed for us so that sin’s curse could be removed and the blessings might follow; the blessings of forgiveness for sins, eternal life, a home established in heaven, healing of body, mind and spirit, and the freedom from condemnation for those who are in Christ. What unspeakable joy fills our hearts today as we rejoice in God’s goodness to us through Christ Jesus and I pray this in His name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You for the revelation to scriptures that you show me. Lord, many speed read the Bible and miss so many important nuggets. We should study the Word to show ourselves approved. Lord Jesus, Your sacrificial death on the cross became the tree of life for all who believe. It is the highest expression of love not only for those who bore the nails in your hands and shouted “Crucify, Crucify.” It is for all the generations who follow that were born under the sin curse. How grateful we are that You came from the glories of heaven to crush the head of the serpent, as You conquered death through Your miraculous resurrection so that we might be redeemed from the law of sin. We will partake of the tree of life in heaven because You partook of the cross of death here on earth. All glory and praise is due Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, You Word says "because you love me, I will rescue you. I will protect you because you know My name. When you call to Me, I will answer you. I will be with you when you are in trouble. I will save you and honor you. I will satisfy you with a long life. I will show you how I will save you." Father God, as I dwell in Your secure shelter I rest in the shadow of Your wings. You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. You saved me from the evil plot of Satan when You secured for me the eternal plan of salvation. Like a bird who protects its young with the spread of its feathers, You cover me and protect me as You shield me with Your wings blocking the fiery darts of Satan. I will not fear the day nor the night as I am sheltered and protected by You. No evil can harm me for I am resting in Jesus and am safe forevermore. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. Every word of this Holy book has proven to be true. You are a shield to those who come to You for protection. Your Word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. Your word judges a person's thoughts and intentions. No creature can hide from You. Everything is uncovered and exposed for him to see. We must answer to him. Father God, we know that we must do more than just read Your Word, but we must apply Your truths so that we see Your Spirit at work in the daily challenges we encounter. The Israelites looked to You for guidance in the cloud by day and the fire by night. They learned when to wait and when to walk. It is in the waiting times that we learn endurance for the present and it is in the walking times that we learn to trust You for the future. Whether You are moving us forward or keeping us still our hope is in You all the day long. I praise You and worship You Jesus and I pray this in Your name. Amen. Heavenly Father, humans look at the outward appearance and make decisions of a person on those things. You look at our hearts. Though others may overlook my significance You are familiar with all my ways. You know the very thoughts that run through my mind and the words that I will speak even before I utter them. You know me from inside out and yet You love me and call me Your very own. That You would love a sinner such as me and redeem me from the pit is too marvelous for words. I humbly and gratefully acknowledge Your goodness and give thanks for Your unfailing love that lifts me from the dark pit of despair and transfers me into Your bright kingdom of light. I have a friend in Jesus and He calls me His friend when He said: "The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends. You are my friends if you obey my commandments. I don't call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn't know what his master is doing. But I've called you friends because I've made known to you everything that I've heard from my Father. Thank You Jesus and in Your mighty name I ask and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, for this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory. Praise Jesus! Lord, we also look forward to Your promise, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. Father, we greatly rejoice knowing that as our physical body is wearing down our spiritual body is being renewed daily moving us closer and closer to the moment we receive an eternal glory that far outweighs the heartaches, losses, trials, injustices, and suffering of this life. Keep our eyes not on that which passes, but that which passeth not away. Help us to envision the glory of heaven where there will be no need for a sun or moon for Jesus’ glory will be the light of heaven. We can hardly wait but then of course You choose the appointed hour, so until then we’ll look not to our temporal troubles but to Your eternal glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Heavenly Father, this morning I thought about the words that Jesus spoke. " Even though you're evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?" Father and then while I have been reading the book of Judges, I find throughout the period of the Judges that the people of Israel endured great heartache and spiritual defeat because each one became his own authority and acted on his own opinions of what was right and wrong. They did not look to You as the final authority; they disregarded Your holy laws and chose to do that which was right in their own eyes. We see this prevailing attitude in our own day. But as believers we acknowledge that our judgment is flawed and our motives are selfish when we do not submit our will to a holy God who knows what is best for His children. We want to obey Your laws and surrender our will as we seek to do what is good and right in Your eyes. This will result in our hearts being strengthened and our lives being blessed as we walk in the ways of Christ in whose powerful name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, This passage of what Jesus spoke weighs heavily on my heart today. John 16:20-23 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. 23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Father God, there are so many hurting people in our world, our community and even in our own family, that it can be very difficult to know just where You want us to help. As we see the need and prayerfully seek Your leading, we want to help bear another’s burden. Not only can we bless another in need but we can find fulfillment in caring for others the way we’d like to be cared for in our hour of need. We pray that You would help us to move forward as we reach out in Jesus’ name. Amen. Heavenly Father, examine me and test me, Lord, judge my desires and thoughts. Your constant love is my guide; your faithfulness always leads me. Father God, help our ears to be alert, our eyes to be open, and our hearts perceptive as we follow in Your ways. May we be eager to hear Your teaching and apply it to our lives so that we may be found blameless before You and experience the joy You give to those who follow Your commands. When Your meaning is clear help us to seek no other meaning to satisfy our own desires or to change the clear meaning of Your message. Align our desires with Your own, that we might find genuine peace and wholehearted obedience as You bring spiritual healing to our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for always being here when we go through our battles. Lord, we read and we have experienced a real enemy and we read where he comes to devour all he can. There are many foes standing ready to attack, but we know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. The enemy’s ammunition is relentless coming from every direction but I am thoroughly protected by Your impenetrable shield that completely surrounds me. Fear misguides, but faith guides me into an enduring trust in Your unfailing love. You are My shelter from the stormy blast of Satan’s weaponry. You lift my head as I am encouraged in You today and my hope is secured in my future eternal home. Lord, may we be reminded to continuously wear the whole armor that you freely give us, so that we will remain safe. In the precious name of Jesus we ask and thank. Amen. |
