Heavenly Father, even though you are so high above, you care for the lowly, and the proud cannot hide from you. Lord, You provide the answers to life’s questions about everything that concerns us. In answer to life’s greatest question, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” You sent Your Son to be our Savior who would die for our sins so that we might be forgiven and receive an abundant life here on earth and an eternal life in heaven. We are learning to trust in You with all our hearts and not rely on our own understanding. We want to acknowledge You in all areas of our life so that we will seek You above all and the counsel in Your Holy Word for the answers to life’s questions. Jesus truly is the answer for the world today, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the precious name of Jesus and I give You thanks today, for You are God alone. Lord, I ask You to help us to increase in our faith and You guide those that have come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior the importance of being in Your Word. Faith comes from hearing and by hearing Your Word. Just as we need earthly food to nourish our bodies, we need spiritual food to feed the Spirit within. Lord, guide us to only partake of sound doctrine and not words put together by men that contradict Your word. I pray for those that deliver messages that tickle the ears and are full of lies and half truths. Lord, we know from scripture the general denial that will be made in the last days of the possibility of Christ’s return, should not unsettle the believer, but quicken and excite him to a serious minded and firm adhering to what God has revealed in His Word. Those who now scoff will find the day of Christ’s coming a day of terrible vengeance. Lord, we thank You for Your saving grace. In Jesus name. Amen. Heavenly Father, it is seems natural for a believer to praise You during good times. We rejoice when things are going well in our lives. When the storms come, many start crying and blaming You for the issues in their lives. Lord, the life of Joseph teaches us that, in the midst of granting us giftings and favor, You also grant us unwanted circumstances in our life to bring about Your intended purpose. By the time Joseph married and had two sons he learned that it is You who makes us “forget all our trouble”. And it is You who “makes us fruitful in the land of our suffering.” May we embrace the same attitude as Joseph, who learned far more about You through his years of suffering than his years of ease. Keep us faithful and growing in our sorrows and suffering, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I am strong in You and in the power of Your might. In You, Lord I can do all things. Lord, when I trust in You with all my heart, You are foremost in my thoughts. My attitudes and actions will bear that out. Instead of plotting I will pray; instead of being fearful I will be courageous; instead of being weak I will be strong in You. I will not resort to my own understanding for it is faulty, frail, and full of me instead of You. More of You, less of me is my prayer that I might trust You with all of my heart and acknowledge You in all of my ways. In the name of Jesus I commit myself to You. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the warnings that You give regarding the enemy and how to not fall into his traps. Lord, though Satan’s temptations swirl about me in many forms and in various venues I resist the enemy’s desire to reside in my life. Even as the devil seeks to wrap his noxious tentacles around my heart, I stand firm against him because You, Jesus, are the Protector of my soul, who stands guard at all times. I am grateful for the warning signals often repeated throughout the Bible that teach me about Satan’s strategy. Thank You for Your still, small voice regularly reminding me that I am a child of God purchased by Your life-giving blood. May everything that passes before my eyes and all activities I engage in reflect the light of Your redeeming love within me. It is through Your power that I resist the devil and stand firm in the faith. In Jesus name I thank and pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for family and my circle of friends Lord, I especially thank You that in Jesus we’ve found an enduring Friend for all eternity; One who laid down His life that we might be raised to newness of life and in His Word, He calls those that believe His friend. There’s no friend on earth that can provide the constant companionship we experience with Christ through prayer, the Scriptures, and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit that resides in our hearts; in the good times and the bad, during the testings and temptations common to all. There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus, no not one. Thank You for this wondrous gift we celebrate of Jesus coming to earth in the flesh to dwell among us and to show us the more excellent way. It is in that friend called Jesus that I come to pray and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, we are to fight the good fight of faith. That means right up till we take our last breath here on earth. We also read where Jesus warned that at the end of the age nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famines and earthquakes will be commonplace. Believers will be handed over to be persecuted and many will turn away from the faith as wickedness increases. Lord, this is all part of Your perfect plan. You are and always will be in control, no matter how bad things may look to us. In the midst of such dark desolation we cling to the bright promise, full of hope and motivation for those who walk steadfastly with You; he who stands firm to the end will be saved. We will conquer the enemy, for the battle is not ours, but Yours. Glory Lord, we thank You and in Jesus name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word that shows us how we are to live. Lord, in Romans we see we are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice. Also to not be conformed to this world. Lord, we pray that You will empower us to live responsible lives so that we can be living examples of what it means to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Help us to resist temptations that weaken our resolve to live holy lives by memorizing and quoting Scripture that speaks to that sinful behavior, even while we’re being tempted. We desire to bring joy to Your heart as we live responsibly and cast off that which hinders our spiritual growth. We want to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness so that we will be kingdom servants pursuing righteous living. In the name of Your Son, Jesus, we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we read in several places in Your Word that as we confess our sins You forgive. Lord, we thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help us to confess our sin, welcome Your cleansing, and invite the Holy Spirit to help us courageously deal with personal consequences from our sinful defiance. You are a gracious Father who does not cast us down in our failures, but You uphold us with Your gracious and loving hand. Lord, Your Word also tells us that fear and pride don't come from You, but from the enemy, who is the father of lies. Lord, when pride and fear consume our hearts it holds us back from taking the proper steps to right a wrong. Replace our fear with courage and our pride with humility so that we will take the proper steps to correct a wrong we’ve committed. Help us to find peace in knowing that we have obeyed You Lord, I thank You and in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I will proclaim your greatness, my God and king; I will thank You forever and ever. Every day I will thank You; I will praise You forever and ever. The LORD is great and is to be highly praised; his greatness is beyond understanding. What you have done will be praised from one generation to the next; they will proclaim Your mighty acts. Lord, we are so thankful for Your redeeming grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt. This is possible because of the blood of Jesus which was poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Where our sin increased, Your grace increased all the more. Your refuge for our sin-filled souls took place at the cross of Calvary where Jesus shed His precious blood so that we might find forgiveness for our sins. This salvation is marvelous; it is matchless and it is infinitely greater than the animal blood sacrifice that took away sins for only a season. Christ’s redeeming blood sacrifice frees us from the penalty of sin in this life and for all eternity. We thank You, Jesus, for freely shedding Your blood on our behalf and it is in Your name that we pray. Amen. |
