Heavenly Father, thank You for this day. Thank You for loving us and for Your Word that guides us to Your truths. Jesus in Your perfect wisdom You have told us in the Gospels that greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. We honor those who died, sacrificing their lives for their brothers and sisters in arms, for their family and friends at home, for the country that we all love.
Lord, regardless to what some here say, You have blessed America with great freedom and great responsibility. We especially thank You for the freedom we have which allows the Gospel of Jesus Christ to spread throughout our nation.
Over a million men and women have died in battle fighting for our freedoms. We take comfort Lord knowing that many of those men and women who died had secured their place in heaven by placing their faith and trust in you God. Our hearts are broken knowing that many of them died apart from You without the hope of eternal life.
We pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are serving today that you would raise them up to boldly and clearly proclaim Your promise of eternal life. Would You place a strong Christian in every unit in our military to preach the good news so that no one else will die in battle without having had the chance to commit their souls to You. We pray for the families of those who were lost who are still grieving today, we ask that they will find strength and comfort in you Lord.
Lord God, war is a direct reflection of our sinful and broken world. We know that no matter how many wars are fought more wars will come, that no matter how many have died more will die. But God you have not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with Him. For you Lord are good and your love endures forever; your faithfulness continues through all generations. Victory is already yours through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank You Jesus for Your sacrifice and unconditional steadfast love. May those who do not know You and Your love hear Your truth and come to know You as their Lord and Savior and experience Your amazing and endless love. For His honor and glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
Heavenly Father, it’s interesting that we often plead for Your attention and certainly expect You to listen to our prayers and You assure us through Your word that You hear us when we call on You. But for true fellowship to exist we too must listen to Your voice through Scripture, through fellow believers, through Your many works of creation, and through Your still small voice that beckons our attention. You have so much to tell us that will often encourage us, sometimes reprove us, but always spur us on to good works and needed spiritual perspective as we journey here below. Help us to listen, to heed, and to be steadfast in our fellowship with You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
Heavenly Father, I shout with joy that You loved me so much to sent Jesus to earth to die in my place. How grateful I am that You turned the darkness of my soul into the sunshine of Your glory. Jesus transformed my heart and renewed my mind when I received Him my personal Savior. Jesus, You took away sin’s sorrows and filled me with everlasting joy. Sin no longer is my master, but You are my Lord and Master. It is Your voice that I hear and it is Your paths that I follow! Continue the process of transformation in my life until that final day when Your work is complete. You gave me my first breath and I want to give You my final breath as I am transformed into immortality. My good Shepard, thank You for being the door and letting me in and saving me. I read in the Gospel of John where You said, Those who serve You must follow You. I will serve You Lord and follow You and Your ways. In Your precious name I pray. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I marvel at the trace of Your hand in my life. If I were to speak of the “stones” of deliverance and provision the first and most important “stone” would be the moment You delivered me from darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of Your light. You took the uncertainties of my life and gave me an eternal purpose for living. I am so grateful for the solid, reliable “stone” of salvation that is the starting point for the path of stones where I’ve seen Your hand in my life as I’ve experienced Your deliverance, provision and faithfulness every step along my pilgrim journey. Step by step, Lord, You walk with me on this straight and narrow path that leads to life eternal upholding me with Your righteous right hand. I give You glory for the ones that have continually prayed for my bride and me. I am so thankful for the brothers and sister in Christ that You have put in our circle who uplift and edify us and even correct us. Thank You Father and in Christ name I pray. Amen.
Heavenly Father, would You show us through Your Holy Spirit, through the Holy Scriptures and by the examples of committed believers what it is to live for the eternal. It seems that we indulge with the world far too much and it prioritizes our time, finances, and interests. As we love You more and trust You more, we love the things of the world less. We see them for what they really are – temporary, broken, and often sin-ridden. As we fix our eyes on You the things of this world grow strangely dim. We want to spend more time with You which will direct our thoughts and affections toward heaven. We want to deposit our investments there so that our treasure chest is growing with rust-proof, moth-proof, and thief-proofed treasures that last for all eternity. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen!
Heavenly Father, You have given us Your Holy Word as a spiritually historical foundation to build our lives upon. Through the centuries Your greatness is demonstrated through ordinary people just like us and through Your awesome acts that reveal Your incomparable power and divine attributes. History in the past and history in the making is subordinate to Your sovereign work in the lives of Your people. We choose to remember our leaders, who spoke the Word of God to us and consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith as we lovingly submit ourselves into Your merciful hands. Thank You Lord and it is in Jesus name that we pray. Amen.
Heavenly Father, may we be people who are quick to notice the ways in which we can be of special blessing to others. It seems quite easy when it comes to those whom we befriend. We often recognize their need before they express it and find genuine fulfillment in being Your hand extended to them. But You challenge us to go even further in making ourselves available to our enemies with whom it is not natural to provide for their needs. In expressing agapé to those around us we love in spite of what we see or have experienced. May all that we do on behalf of others be an expression of Your heavenly touch extended through Christian human service. It is in Your strength and compassion that we can do that which is unnatural to our human flesh, but natural to our redeemed spirit. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect plan of salvation. Thank You for Jesus, the Bright Morning Star. We also thank You for John the Baptist who had a vital role as prophet of the Highest when he gave knowledge of salvation to unbelievers leading them to repentance of their sins. We thank You that he came to give light to those who sat in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide their feet into the way of peace. We consider the ultimate price that he paid in laying down his life because he was a prophet who spoke the truth even when it cost him everything. He didn’t preach “peace and comfort” to those practicing sin, but instead he told them how to be saved. Help us to follow his example and lead unbelievers to the Bright Morning Star who will guide us through this dark, sin troubled world to the eternal abode where there will be no more night, for Your glory will give us light and the Lamb will be as a lamp for all to see. Keep us faithful until that eventful day we pray in Jesus name. Amen.
Heavenly Father, what I have learned from following You as our intimate relationship grows stronger, nothing brings abiding peace more than knowing that we are saved from the penalty of sin and that we are firmly grounded in Your holy precepts. For the true believer, It makes us feel safe in a struggling world that where most continue to search for knowledge from all the wrong sources. We are sound in our outlook when we align our understanding and convictions with the teachings of Christ, His disciples and the prophets of old, for we speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor from the authority of this world that changes from year to year. Our wisdom is based upon our knowledge and understanding of You, our eternal Father, the One who changes not. In You we are saved and we are sound. Praise Your Holy name. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus my Lord and my Savoir. I am eternally grateful for Jesus who imputed His righteousness in me, just as You imputed my sin into the sinless Lamb of God who poured out His life for me on the cross. Through this merciful and selfless sacrifice of Christ I am justified. Jesus truly paid the highest price for my redemption and removed the penalty of sin for all who truly repent and believe. In the book of I Isaiah You said: Isaiah 1:18 KJV Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Thank You Lord for this gift paid in full by the atoning work of Your Son. Amen.
