Heavenly Father, Your grace is enough. Lord, reading from the book of Ephesians this morning, I was taken back by just how privileged we are to be chosen in Christ before the creation of the world, to be predestined and adopted as Your child through Him. Some of the richest and most tender portions of Scripture that disclose the extent of Your love are revealed to us from deplorable and unjust situations. In just the first chapter You tell me: The believer is vitally united to Jesus Christ by the indwelling Spirit, through the redemptive work of the cross, and has in Him all spiritual blessings, including the assurance of an eternal inheritance and the working of His mighty power in and through him. What a wonderful reminder that Your work is not limited to ideal circumstances but You do an inward work within our heart no matter where we are or what difficulty we face. Because You lavish Your love on us we cannot contain it but must share it with those around us. Help us to do so freely and generously through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Brother Jim, as I prayed along with you. It came to my mind in a situation that happen eleven years ago. It was a person within our family through marriage. They nearly destroyed the family. A habitual liar! My wife shared something with me, what that person said to her. The words came out of my month, before I realized. "SOMETHING IS WRONG." This person that did that, I loved very much. I have learned this, I went through a lot of pain, because I loved that person very much. I started sobbing out of control. I couldn't stop. That person came to me and look at me. Tears streaming down their face. I knew they wanted forgiveness. I put my arms around that person and said, "I loved you and I forgive you and some how want to forget it." We were both sobbing, but, I had Peace restored to me. Does that mean I trust that person, no. Even when I wanted too. I just couldn't. Jim.
