Heavenly Father, even though we see and hear evil and dreadful events happening all over the world, we thank You that You shine Your light through us and often in unusual circumstances in which we find ourselves. We are to let our lights shine before others that they may see our good works and glorify You in heaven. There are times when we cry out, “No More! I just can’t do this anymore.” But, Father, in Your infinite wisdom You give us daily strength and spiritual resolve to carry on in the darkest of circumstances so that the light of Christ might be made manifest in our lives. We want to carry the light of Your salvation through our words, our actions, and the way in which we seek to be fruitful and bloom where we are planted. It’s in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for biblical convictions essential to our Christian faith, that are foundational to our personal convictions as we live out our spiritual walk. Like Abraham who was fully convinced that what God promised He was able to do. So indeed it was credited to Abraham as righteousness. Convictions have a definite impact on how one lives, what he does, says and where he goes. May the personal convictions we hold close to our hearts bring about a fruitful walk with You and enable us to live a life set apart for Christ in whose name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, when Jesus declared to His disciples, I am the way, the truth, and the life a plumb line was drawn for them and for us. When we want to know what is the truth and what is a lie, we can measure it against the words of Jesus, who Himself is the truth. Many people define truth based on their emotions, opinions, experience, or current philosophical views. But Jesus is truth incarnate—the perfect expression of His Father and therefore the absolute embodiment of all that is true. For that we are thankful. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Jesus’ death on our behalf making it possible for us to be forgiven and walk in newness of life. Our sin nature no longer dominates, but our spiritual nature becomes the driving force behind our thoughts, our actions, and our conversation. Because we love righteousness and loathe sinfulness we never want to live the reverse order again. Help us to watch for those attitudes and actions that make us trip and fall. Help us to stand against the enemy and not lapse into doing things the “old familiar” way, when they dishonor You or bring reproach to Your name. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Jesus, Name above all names, I bow on my knees, confess with my lips and believe in my heart that You are the Lord and Savior of my life. You died for my sins and rose to life making it possible for me to die to sin and rise to new life in You. I thank You for the victory that is mine as I, in my heart, set Christ apart as Lord, not only in this world but in the world to come. Amen. Heavenly Father, as Paul stated, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” Thankfully, our hope exceeds this life where we are simply pilgrims wandering through this world of sin. Because You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, when we confess and renounce them, we are washed anew and can set our sights on heaven where sin will no longer exists; where there is no sickness, toil or danger and the troubles of this life will no longer occupy our thoughts or fill our days. How thankful we are for our salvation and eternal inheritance. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, so many of our brothers and sisters are going through very tough storms in their lives. For some, it seems like a very dark tunnel of despair and there seems to me no light at the end. I'm sure Job felt this way every day in the midst of losing his family, physical suffering and losing all of his wealth. Lord we pray that You will renew our assurance today of Your steadfast love and care in the midst of our trials. Send means of hope and encouragement today to uplift. By faith we will see a glorious light at the end of the tunnel if we remain joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father we thank You for the veracity of Your holy Scriptures that are able to make us wise unto salvation. John, the disciple of Christ, warns us not to believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. Likewise we must be discerning rather than believing all we hear and see on our computers, phones and the media or by the gossip spread throughout our neighborhood, workplace or church. Just as gold goes through a testing process to make sure it is genuine we too must be careful to properly process that which we hear or see, to determine whether it is accurate and if it is of benefit to others in our spreading such information. For sure, the spreading of the Good News is a very good thing and it is a historical truth that has changed lives for eternity. We praise You Jesus and in Your name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for our brothers and sisters who, because of Your redemptive love, share together in the work of furthering the kingdom of God. Thank You for those who see a need and are quick to respond and do so without applause or attention. We also know of those who see the need but feel inadequate for the task. Would You empower and embolden them to take a step of faith by moving in the direction You’re leading to the point of commitment. We’re mindful of Tychicus’ example of faithfulness in his duties and his loving spirit toward Paul and his fellow servants. We also want to be faithful in our thoughts, our conversation, and our duties this day. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. “O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come!” How powerful and enduring Your Word is. It is ever-living, ever-relevant and ever-active in the lives of believers all over the globe convicting people of their sin and calling them to repent that they might be born again. More than just print on a page, the Word of God penetrates the heart; guiding, instructing, convicting, delighting, comforting and performing Your supernatural work in our lives. Increase our love and passion for reading Your Word faithfully so that we may grow in understanding and appreciation for all You have to show us. We seek to bring You glory as we witness to others that we are born again and appeal to them to be born again. We pray that our lives “bear fruit in keeping with repentance” as a visible witness to others of Your awesome life changing power in our lives. Through Christ Jesus we pray. Amen. |
