Heavenly Father, we thank You that You shine Your light through us and often in unusual circumstances in which we find ourselves. As we go through the highways and byways, we find man can't be trusted, making promises they can't keep, but You Lord are always to be trusted. You cannot lie. As I search scriptures, we are to let our lights shine before others that they may see our good works and glorify You in heaven. There are times when we cry out, “No More! I just can’t do this anymore.” But, Father, in Your infinite wisdom You give us daily strength and spiritual resolve to carry on in the darkest of circumstances so that the light of Christ might be made manifest in our lives. We want to carry the light of Your salvation through our words, our actions, and the way in which we seek to be fruitful and bloom where we are planted. It’s in Jesus’ name that we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we see Scriptures that warn us of attitudes, desires, and behaviors that lead us on the road to destruction. We want to be faithful to the righteous path that we chose the day we surrendered our lives to You. May we seek You wholeheartedly so that our actions and affections align us with the straight and narrow path You walked before us. Help us to stay strong in You and the power of Your might. May we use our resources for Your glory, for the Kingdom of God, and for the good of others. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I want to trust You completely for everything that concerns me. Too many times I’ve doubted Your ability to intervene in my life or questioned whether You were genuinely interested in me. But over the years enduring life’s trials has given me spiritual perspective that shows me I’m not a victim but a conqueror through Jesus Christ my Lord who makes me triumph over my enemy! I welcome Your sovereign work in every area of my life so that I will come into compliance with Your will and trust You even more. I join with the multitudes of my brothers and sisters in praying for our fellow Americans in so many places that are experiencing the tragedies from all the mass shootings recently. Lord I pray that you protect our policeman and first responders. We pray for the victims families and also for the gunman's families. Lord we also pray for the ones that have committed these crimes that they come to full repentance and the saving knowledge of Jesus. We also pray for forgiveness to help in these matters for true healing to take place. May it turn hearts toward You, the Maker of heaven and earth. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I want to be vigilant in equipping myself today as I battle the spiritual forces of evil. Though I wage war in this present and evil generation I have a body guard in the presence of the Holy Spirit who gives me power over the enemy of my soul. Today, I stand against the devil’s schemes because I take on the full armor of God; the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. As I prayerfully cover my vulnerable self with godly armor I am fully equipped with the necessary provisions to overcome discouragement, disappointment and seeming defeat. Instead I am an enduring conqueror who stands triumphant by Your grace, through our Lord Jesus Christ in whose name I pray and by whose name I will stand! Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You that through Jesus we are victorious. We are grateful for the various means and the variety of people to whom You choose to deliver the life-changing Gospel message that gives us a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. As we have been tremendously blessed in receiving this gift of eternal life, stir us to action in reaching others with the same message of salvation so that they are snatched from the fire, bearing fruit and growing as we journey together here below. Bless our missionaries who use unconventional means to present the Gospel and protect them from enemy warfare. We do pray for our many brothers and sisters who are jailed, persecuted, and separated from family because they stand for Christ. Keep us strong in our spiritual walk as we experience growing ridicule and the passage of laws that mock our faith and strip us of our Christian freedoms. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your love comes like a light in the darkness, the bright star in the east that burst forth in the Bethlehem skies. The hosts of heaven made it a song of joy and celebration as Jesus was born into the world, the Saviour for all mankind. In the darkness of night the light of Christ appeared drawing people near and far to follow Him, then and now. And at the same time there are many who are drawn to darkness who are indifferent or intolerant of anything that pertains to Jesus and the salvation He provided. And, tragically, there are those who once walked in the light who have entered into the caverns of darkness and taken on the attitudes and actions consistent with those who walk in darkness. We don’t understand such thinking since we who once were blind can now see, but we know it to be true. Thank You for the freedom to choose, and Lord, we choose You now and for all eternity. We pray this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, we realize in this country and all over the world that many of our brothers and sisters are going through some very hard times. Some of them are in what seems like a dark tunnel of despair and they do not see any light at the end. Job surely felt this way day in and day out in the midst of his family loss, physical suffering, and financial ruin. Renew our assurance today of Your steadfast love and care in the midst of our trial. Send means of hope and encouragement today to uplift. By faith we will see a glorious light at the end of the tunnel if we remain “joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.” in Jesus name we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father we thank You for the veracity of Your holy Scriptures that are able to make us wise unto salvation. John, the disciple of Christ, warns us not to believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. Likewise we must be discerning rather than believing all we hear and see on our computers, phones and the media or by the gossip spread throughout our neighborhood, workplace or church. Just as gold goes through a testing process to make sure it is genuine we too must be careful to properly process that which we hear or see, to determine whether it is accurate and if it is of benefit to others in our spreading such information. For sure, the spreading of the Good News is a very good thing and it is a historical truth that has changed lives for eternity. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, the commandments that You give are to be impressed upon our hearts. Your love motivates us to obey Your commands and Your holiness teaches us to align our desires with Your own. Help us to be extremely cautious about new teachings that are pleasing to the ear and popular with our present generation, but do not bear witness with our spirit or more importantly align with the Scripture. As we study Your Holy Word, from cover to cover, and meditate upon Your principles we will hold on to that which is of most importance and pass it on to those who walk alongside us and those who come behind, the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints of all generations. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I thank the Lord Jesus Who died to set me free from my sins. I thank You Holy Spirit for comforting me and guiding me in God's ways. Lord Jesus, just as You called the fishermen, tax collectors, and other commoners to be “fishers of men” You also call and equip us to reach the lost men and women of our day. May our hearts be filled with compassion and our spirits charged with faith as we prayerfully seek to make a difference in our own generation. It is not by our own might, our talents, or our power, but it is by Your Spirit that we can effectively reach the lost. Help us to be faithful in doing so. We pray in Your name. Amen. |
