Heavenly Father, fake abounds, and way too often it is seen in Christian circles. It has left a very bad taste in the mouth of unbelievers and has provided many an excuse for them to want nothing to do with Christianity. When we say one thing but do another we are harming our witness and we bring disgrace to the body of Christ. Father, may the words we speak and the actions we carry out from day to day honor You and uplift the body of Christ. May our lives never detract from the Gospel message but rather attract people to the redemptive message of salvation through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heavenly Father, the way we interact with those outside the faith will have a positive or a negative influence on whether they choose to follow You. There appears to be no neutral mode in our lives, for we do not live unto ourselves, but regularly give account for our actions and attitudes daily. Inconsistency and double standards have long been a trap Satan has set so that the world will point their accusatory finger and cry, “Hypocrite!” Sadly, it is often a true characterization. May we, as Your disciples, be faithful in our walk and consistent in our talk as we serve You at home, in the workplace, in our churches, and in our sphere of influence. We do not want to bring disgrace on the holy name of Jesus, but we want to honor His name as we glorify You in all we do. It is in Jesus’ holy name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, fake abounds, and way too often it is seen in Christian circles. May our lives never detract from the Gospel message but rather attract people to the redemptive message of salvation through Christ our Lord. It is by His name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are the Almighty God who controls the storms. All of Your creation must submit when You do Your bidding. Nothing escapes Your attention nor can anything exceed Your power or authority. Help us to trust You not only during the times of calm but also during the storms of life. You’re an ever-present, ever-powerful God who is worthy of all our praise. Help me to choose to praise You in the storm. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, remove the scales of indifference, fear, skepticism, doubt, and unbelief along with any other unwanted attitudes or traits that would keep me from giving You my all. When the scales are removed I no longer see that which holds me back but I see Jesus who said, “With God all things are possible.” When the scales are removed I find that Your power propels me into service, reaching out to the lost and showing the way to forgiveness and eternal life. Help me to have the courage of Ananias to reach out to those who seem hopeless, undeserving, and zealous in all the wrong ways like Saul. Just as Ananias had a tremendous role in mentoring the Tormentor Saul as he became the Preacher Paul, we too can make a difference in one’s life who is lost, hurting, and presently headed to eternity without You. Remove our scales and launch us forward in service to You, we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I will sing unto You, my Lord, as long as I live. I will sing praise to You, my King, while I have my being. My meditation of You shall be sweet, for I will be glad in the Lord. I will bless You at all times. Your praise shall continually be in my mouth and my soul shall make her boast in You, Lord, and the humble will hear thereof and be glad. May others magnify You, along with me, as we exalt Your name together in word and song. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Heavenly Father, as we hate that which is evil and cling to that which is good we must be clear in our minds about good and evil. We don’t write our own playbook based upon popularity polls or by that which makes us “cool to a particular segment of society”. We look to the ancient words of Scripture, honored by godly men and women, boys and girls throughout the centuries who believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures, who held to its teachings and lived by the standards as prescribed within the Word. May it always be our reference point in judging that which is evil and that which is good. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, though we might have an upbringing much different than that of our neighbor, spouse, or co-worker, we all have the same opportunity to be a new creation in Christ. Not one of us, no matter how happy or sad our past, how difficult or carefree our upbringing we all have the need to come to Christ and be forgiven our sins. Though our sins are as scarlet they become white as snow when we are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. We can’t go back and change the past but we can entrust You with our present and eternal future. Thank You for Jesus who became the supreme example to us of an Overcomer, who taught us to overcome the sin of this world and its destructive effects in our life! In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, In Your Word and I believe it is true, You say "All who come to You come as sinners." But we can be cleansed of all our sin because You provided Jesus to atone for any who call upon Your name to be saved. When we place our trust in You, we can be assured of peace in our hearts here on earth and a future eternal inheritance in heaven. If we should live a hundred years here below, up there we’ll not regret it, for we settled our account long ago. Thank You for being such a gracious, forgiving, and loving Ultimate Accountant. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we know that You are the Lord our God and that the Lord is one, for there is no other. We love You with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength. For that reason we want to impress upon our children and our children’s children the commands of Scripture so that they will have an understanding of who You are and learn about the way You want us to live. This duty of showing our children the righteous path is best taught by example and Scripture when we talk, when we walk, when we lie down at night and upon awakening in the morning. Surround us with Your blessed presence and be our covering we pray. Father we also lift up those that are experiencing storms through the US and have been without power for days. Lord, we pray that they find safety and warmth and that the energy be restored soon. In the name of Jesus we ask and thank. Amen. |
