Heavenly Father, we give thanks for the men and women who have given their lives for our freedoms over the centuries. We also give thanks for those who have impacted our spiritual lives as we seek to live faithfully for You; the Biblical saints, the early church fathers, the martyrs of the faith, the evangelists, preachers, and teachers of Your Holy Word, our family members and many others who showed us the way and we thank You for those extraordinary believers who not only lived for You but lived as an example of faith to those of us who were watching and learning along the way. Above all, we thank You for the person of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life to our eternal Home in heaven. Thank you for Your faithfulness and the fact that never once did we ever walk alone. In the name of Christ Jesus we pray. Amen.

Our Heavenly, merciful Father, we confess our sins to You. You are the One who cleanses our hearts so that we stand righteous before You through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is not in ourselves that we are made righteous, for our righteousness is as filthy rags. It is in Jesus’ death and resurrection that we are forgiven of our sins. It is not by works of righteousness; it is not by doing that which is seen by others as commendable, but it is according to Your grace and mercy that we are saved, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, help me to store up this vital Scripture today and all the days You have ordained for me; “A righteous man will be remembered forever.” When I’m tempted to compromise my integrity in exchange for ungodly choices may this Scripture ring alarm bells in my heart and mind. Let its truth persuade me to say “no” to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live a self-controlled, upright and godly life in this present age, for Your way is the best way and it is the lasting way. Thank You Jesus and in Your name I pray and give You praise. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the redeeming blood of Jesus that imparts mercy and pardon for my sins. Wretched as I may be, Your mercy is greater! Only a God like You chooses to delight in expressing mercy to the undeserving masses that defy Your Holy Name. Thank You for reaching me in the depth of my sin and raising me to the height of Your Holiness – it’s only through Your blood and it’s only through Your mercy that I come and You joyfully welcome me! Words cannot express my eternal gratitude for such indescribable love. In the name of Jesus I ask and thank. Amen Heavenly Father, as heirs of Your salvation, we have been purchased with the sacrificial blood of Your precious Son, Jesus. He gave His all that we might be saved from the eternal consequences of sin and have our names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We have the blessed assurance that we are redeemed from sin and saved for eternity in heaven. Thank You for such wondrous love and abundant provision on our behalf. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we recognize from Scripture that You long to be gracious to Your children, to show them compassion and give them direction. You bless those who wait upon You. Though you give us the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, you also give us teachers, prophets, and believing friends who affirm or challenge us as we seek Your face and Your will for our lives. As we hold up the lamp of Your Word to lighten the path before us, how good it is to hear Your voice behind us saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” You’ve promised that You will never leave us or forsake us. Darkness will not overtake us, for You are the Light of the World, and in You there is no darkness at all. Thank You for Your reassuring presence that You walk with us step by step on this day of our journey. We’re in route now but we’re assured that our final destination will have an eternal glorious address where our dwelling will be with You in heaven forevermore. In Jesus name we thank and ask. Amen. Jesus, how grateful I am that You turned the darkness of my soul into the sunshine of Your glory. You transformed my heart and renewed my mind when I received You as my personal Savior. You took away sin’s sorrows and filled me with everlasting joy. Sin no longer is my master, but You are my Lord and Master. It is Your voice that I hear and it is Your paths that I follow! Continue the process of transformation in my life until that final day when Your work is complete. You gave me my first breath and I want to give You my final breath as I am transformed into immortality. Amen. Heavenly Father, keep my eyes focused on my future eternal reward as I run with perseverance the race marked out for me. Help me to exercise godly discernment so that I can readily identify opposition from the enemy as a tactic to make me falter or to steer me completely off course. Just as runners must keep their eyes on the finish line, help me to keep my eyes on the eternal One whose treasures far exceed earthly reward. By Your grace, I will complete this race and experience the eternal pleasures and heavenly treasures You eagerly grant to Your faithful ones! Help me to keep looking ahead to my reward. In the name of Jesus I ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the inspiration of Your Holy Spirit that enabled the writers of Scripture to record that which would show us the way to You through Your Son, Jesus. The words of Scripture not only show us the way to salvation but guide us in our life’s journey. May Your Words be impressed upon our hearts as we give regular attention to them through reading and memorizing the Scriptures, participating in Bible Studies, listening to godly leaders expound Your Word, teaching them to our children. We don’t want a casual attitude about Your Holy Word, but rather we want to be earnest students of Your Word contending always for the faith once for all entrusted to the saints. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, there is nothing that brings greater satisfaction then the deep, settled peace in my soul that results from receiving Your forgiveness. Jesus paid the debt for my sin. He paid it in full and I fully commit my life to Him. There isn’t one merit badge I can earn or apply to my standing in Christ, for it is only through His grace that I overcome the power of sin. Thank You for sending Jesus and receiving His death as an atoning sacrifice for my sins. I stand uncondemned and fully forgiven through Your grace and I am so thankful. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |
