Heavenly Father, we thank You that in Your perfect design You have work for all of us to do, whether it’s at the beginning of the supply chain or at the end. You also skill people to promote or distribute these products so that they make helpful contributions to our daily lives. Whether it’s factory worker making equipment, the farmer who raises the poultry, pigs, dairy, milk, or produce. Also, the truck driver transporting these goods. The employees at the factory the butchers, or the person who prepares these items for others to enjoy at their dinner table. Many people have a role in the supply chain. Today we are grateful for the part we have in the work that we are given. May we do it well and without sputtering as unto You…for it is You that we seek to please and thereby we bless others as well. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as Your children we need to regularly examine our hearts to see if there are things, pursuits, or attitudes that are drawing us away from Your heart and thrusting us once again into the mindset of the world. Our heart’s examinations are not intended to condemn us but to rid us of impurities and distractions, to refresh our spirit, and to remind us of our godly heritage. Like newborn babies help us to crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it we may grow up in your salvation, remaining steadfast in our walk all the days of our life. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. To watch and listen to J and L Ministries devotion for today, here is the YouTube link: https://youtu.be/KokB38-3a8c Heavenly Father, through the knowledge of Your Scriptures, through the application of its truths, and through the power of Your Holy Spirit we can resist the enemy of our souls. When our faith is tested, which is of greater worth than gold, it is done so to test that our faith is genuine. Since faith that is not tested is faith that cannot be trusted, help us to remember that when the enemy is persistently prowling, You are inviting us to prove our faith to be genuine which will help fortify us for future testings and serve as a witness to others that we are who we claim to be; people of faith. Help us also to remember that not only are we undergoing trial, but believers all throughout the world are undergoing the same sufferings or far worse. We want to resist the devil, standing firm in the faith, knowing that the testing of our faith produces endurance and empathy for others who suffer. May we be found faithful. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Today's Devotion can be found on YouTube: https://youtu.be/SHcf5A-c6Ac Heavenly Father, why is it, that when we’re given far more than we need, we want even more? It seems that we try to find satisfaction, enjoyment, and comfort in material things that are temporal which can distract us from spiritual pursuits which have lasting eternal value. When we are tempted to indulge help us indulge in that which has lasting value and influences others for the kingdom of God. Father God, help us to keep a healthy balance so that we are not loaded down with unhealthy debt for we should be careful to let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another as we read in Romans 13:8. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. For those that would like to listen to our devotion today on YouTube, https://youtu.be/k3noNx6AuDU Heavenly Father, as we go about the day to day living of eating, building, moving, buying, growing our families and earning a living we must be vigilant to keep You at the center of all our activity. Living for You is to be our main objective so that everything else falls into proper place. As these daily essentials are met we give thanks to You acknowledging that every single blessing comes from Your Hand. The vast majority place their hope in wealth and sucess, which is so uncertain, but we put our hope in You who richly provides us with everything for our sustenance and enjoyment. We are satisfied and give You thanks through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. To listen to today's devotion, follow this link: https://youtu.be/eL3e7ydRrV8 Heavenly Father, in thanksgiving we lift our voices of praise with grateful hearts. Whether in seasons of prosperity or in seasons of want we find Your grace sufficient to meet each one of our needs. My bride and I thank you for our many memories over the years with friends and family of many generations. Help us to pass on the truth of your goodness to all who come behind us. You guide us, protect us, and You provide for us as we journey here below. Every good and perfect gift comes from Your hand. Thank You, faithful Father and we ask in the name of Jesus Amen. Heavenly Father, the Psalmist assures us that You provide food to those who fear You, to those who remember Your covenant. Moses admonished the Israelites to follow Your commands so that You would give them rain for their land in its season, the early rain for germination and the latter rain that grows and strengthens the plants. Through all generations You have supplied for all our needs and poured out Your abundance on us. We thank You for it through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. Heavenly Father, far too many live in a state of discontent where we find ourselves loving things and using people. It distorts our priorities and gives us temporary excitement with things, but leaves us with long-term dissatisfaction in ourselves and our relationships. Help us to enjoy and make useful material things but to place a higher value on greater pursuits such as growing friendships, solid marriage relations, growing godly character, giving without receiving and other worthy goals. We will be content as we rejoice in the fact that whether we are in want or whether we have plenty You have promised that You will never leave us nor forsake us. What a treasured promise for the believer both in times of need and in times of prosperity. We are content when we realize our all-sufficiency is in You, Lord. You will meet all our needs according to Your riches in glory. We as this in the name of Jesus, the One who died for the sins of the world. Amen. Heavenly Father, Your Word instructs us to daily clothe ourselves in protective Christian armor so that we can take our stand against the devil’s schemes. The indescribable blessing that comes to those of us who clothe ourselves in godly attire prepare us for the ultimate final blessing of shedding our perishable, mortal, broken, and deficient bodies for heavenly attire. Our heavenly bodies, supernaturally clothed, will live eternally without fear of death. No mourning, crying or pain will clothe these bodies because the old order of things will have passed away. Clothe us today in the spiritual clothing that will prepare us to receive the imperishable clothing that comes when we pass from this life to eternal life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, how good it is to have another come alongside us, to encourage us, listen and pray for that which concerns us, lend a hand when we’re in need and occasionally bring friendly reproof when it’s in our best interest. There are many who walk alone and have no one looking out for them. When we see such a person help us not to look the other way to avoid him or her. Instead speak to our hearts about how we can be Your hand extended to that one who walks alone, who has fallen and can’t get up. Show us how to reach out our hand, extend our heart, and in a practical way show them that we care and want to be a blessing in the name of Christ. Amen. |
