Heavenly Father, anything good or praiseworthy in me is simply a reflection of the abiding presence of Your Holy Spirit. I want to grow in Your grace and knowledge, and will do so if You are preeminent in my life. That means You will reign supreme and be of first importance to me, having greater influence than any other person or cause. I want to walk in humility today as I pray, “Jesus must become greater in my life, I must become less.” I ask You to be at the center of my thoughts, my attitudes, and my actions so that Your preeminence is seen in all I think, do, and say. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank you for friends that we laugh and cry with. Sometimes mistaken words can get us into serious trouble and other times they can produce a rumble of laughter. Help us to spread joy, laugh with others and also laugh at ourselves, for a joyful heart is like good medicine. A daily dose of it lightens our step and distracts us from the troublesome world in which we live and the daily burdens that can otherwise weigh us down. In the name of Jesus we thank and pray. Amen. You are our Heavenly Father and the one true living God. Lord, we ask that You help us to live our life in a way that does not gratify our flesh, but rather feeds our spirit that is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. You have given us opportunity to make a positive difference in this degenerate world. May we, by exercising restraint bring light into this darkened, sin-indulged world. May the fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, be evident in our lives so that these attitudes bring about good deeds which glorify You, Father. Others will look at our lives and see beyond our human frailties to recognize the Spirit of God at work in our lives providing example and stimulus to those seeking an alternative to the coarsening darkness of this troubled world. Sharpen our conscience so that we become more and more like Christ, for we pray this in His name. Amen. Heavenly Father, we recognize You as our Creator; therefore we do not reject You, but receive Your words of instruction, warning, assurance and affirmation. We not only want to give attention to Your teachings, but we want to observe and obey them as we live out our lives here on earth. Through the grace given to us by Your Spirit, and by the personal resolve we make to obey You even when it is tempting not to do so, we will find spiritual victory and receive Your commendation which is far greater than man’s applause. In the name of Yeshua we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, there is so much confusion today that it’s often difficult to separate fact from fiction, objective truth from that which is twisted or spun to one’s preference. It’s easy to get caught up with the issues of our day since we hear about them continuously via media, public places and even in our homes. The repeated bashing, disregard and disrespect from those who oppose Biblical truth and lifestyle can weigh us down. It can confuse us and, if we’re not on our guard, it can even shift our loyalty from You, our one true God. Far too many once considered the words of Jesus, “I am the Way, the Truth, the Life…” to be the only way to heaven as He proclaimed, but they now declare there are many ways to heaven. Father, we ask that You keep the Scripture ever before us. Engraft it in our hearts and minds enabling us to, “be clear minded and self-controlled so that we can pray” when we read or hear messages that seek to destroy our faith, especially when it may come from supposedly elite Christian institutions and leaders who have been esteemed by believers but now claim to have come into “new light”, a result of looking to the world rather than the Word. Let us not be fooled by the message or the messenger no matter their credentials, for Your Word stands true for all time and all generations. Thank You Lord for the armor that protects us from the enemies schemes. In the name of Christ Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, as we walk by faith and not by sight, grant us grace that none of us will have a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from You, the living God. Rather may we hate what is evil and cling to what is good. May we be devoted to one another in brotherly love and honor one another above ourselves. May we never be lacking in zeal, but keep our spiritual fervor, serving the Lord, being joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. In Jesus Name. Amen Heavenly Father, we trust You for You are worthy of our full confidence. No problem is too difficult for You since Your power is supernatural, unlimited in strength and scope. There is no request we bring to You that is too perplexing or hard for You to answer, no need too great for You to supply, no misdirected passion too strong for You to restrain; no temptation too powerful for You to deliver us from, and no misery too deep for You to lift us from, for You are the Strength of our lives. When we rest on these truths we are confident and trusting that there is no enemy force of which we should be afraid. We come boldly before Your throne of grace with Jesus as our Advocate. Amen. Heavenly Father, since our lives are “the only Bible that some people read” we want to be careful of what we say and do, lest we give a wrong impression of what it is to be a follower of Christ. Keep us mindful of the truth that we influence others for the kingdom of God, either for good or for ill. Thankfully, your loving Spirit draws people to Yourself, and supersedes that which we do to hamper one’s impression of faith followers. Nevertheless, we are given responsibility to let our light shine before others, so that they may see our good works, and glorify You, our Father, which is in heaven. We seek to be obedient in doing this so that we might influence others to follow You and gain citizenship in the kingdom of heaven. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, troublesome times come to all and we who believe in Christ are no exception. I’m so thankful that Jesus forewarns us that we will experience troubles as long as we are in this world. He also reassures us that, even in the midst of our trouble, we can experience victorious joy because He overcame the world. And because He overcame the world we too can be overcomers. We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. For that we are eternally grateful. In Jesus name we ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, though we, as humans, willfully sin and make poor choices You do all things well. Not one of us can testify that we live a perfect life, for only Yeshua has that testimony. Yet it was He, who chose to clothe Himself in human flesh, and walk alongside us to identify with our human experience. Though Adam and Jesus were both tempted in like manner, Adam yielded, bringing upon us sin and death. But Jesus resisted bringing us justification and life. Since we are born with the sin nature inherited from Adam, our only hope for eternal life and overcoming in this life, is through salvation in Christ. Jesus is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Only He can help us gather up the broken pieces of our ruined lives, extend His forgiveness and healing toward us, and make us whole again. With man this is impossible, but with You all things are possible, if we only believe. Lord, I do believe and in the name of Yeshua I ask this prayer. Amen. |
