Heavenly Father, we as true believers of Jesus Christ are not to be fans of Jesus, but followers of Him. In this time that the world is searching for answers and looking for comfort. This is the the time that we should be your hands and feet proclaiming the good news of Jesus. When Peter spoke to the crowd in Jerusalem about being an eye witness to the resurrection of Christ; that He was not abandoned to the grave, nor did His body see decay and that You raised Him to life the people were cut to the heart. They felt the need to respond to this wondrous message and they did so. Those who accepted his message were saved, baptized and began meeting together to hear the apostles messages and fellowship with one another. Two thousand years later we too must respond to the truth claims of the gospel message. We do so by repenting of our sins, following Your teachings, obeying Your commands and fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters. Just as the people in Jerusalem spread the good news we too must share the good news so that all may know of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, as this country and the nations go through this pandemic, those who know Yeshua have promises that we need to cling to. Such promises we can find in the books of Isaiah. I will not fear for You have redeemed me and called me by name. You know when I pass through the waters and You have promised to be with me; when I cross through the rivers they will not sweep over me. When I walk through the fire I will not be burned for You walk with me. Though trials may engulf me and tempt me to be paralyzed by fear, I can overcome the enemy of fear just as Jesus overcame the power of death. May the resurrected power of Jesus subside my fears and doubts while building my faith and trust in the Holy One of Israel. It is in His name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, when we consider the saints throughout history and the marvelous saving power portrayed in their lives we’re encouraged by their bold example and their consistent enduring walk with You. We recognize these “greats” of the past and those in our own generation who are faithful and powerful examples. They do not build their own kingdom or take credit for their accomplishments. Instead they recognize that it is God alone who deserves our truest praise, no matter our own personal sacrifice. We gratefully declare in our own hearts and to others, “This God is our God! He will be forever and ever! He will be our guide even unto death.” Keep us faithful to the very end. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank You for the family and friends who refresh me; their loyalty and understanding shown to me over the years have brought tremendous blessing and many pleasant memories. Sometimes You use them not only to bring encouragement but they also challenge me to grow in areas where I might otherwise be stagnant. When it comes to friends Jesus stands out above them all, for He is a companion that is with me every moment of every day unceasingly revealing to me His loyalty, His favor and His tender care when I least deserve it. His friendship shows me how to be a true, lasting, and loyal friend to others. And it’s in His name that we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, You are God of all wisdom and we ask for a discerning heart so that we walk circumspectly in Your way and effectively lead the people entrusted to our care. We need Your wisdom to distinguish between right and wrong, truth and error. So many live by opinion polls, current trends, and that which makes them acceptable to the world. But as we pray in the spirit and absorb Your Word into our hearts we will want to walk uprightly and do justly. It is a natural outflow of Your wisdom and Spirit that abides within us as we choose to walk in Your ways. Be our vision during the light of day and in the darkness of night; whether waking or sleeping we yield our all to You, Omniscient Father. Lord, during these trying times with the virus that has spread world wide, we ask for You healing touch, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Protect those on the front line that are battling this virus. We ask that You guide the leaders of this world to make smart choices to help fight this pestilence. Lord I also pray that as worldly people are running scared, that those that know You would be bold enough to share the Gospel of Your Son, with them and then to disciple them as Yeshua commanded us to do. It's in His name that we ask and thank. Amen. |
