Heavenly Father, there is no comparable value on earth like that of our eternal soul, worth more than anything in the world or the world itself. We will not forfeit our eternal soul, by disloyalty to Christ, to gain any earthbound fortune, fame or position. When our hope, ambition and focus is fixed on this life only we forfeit all that awaits us in heaven – that which lasts for all eternity. While we patiently wait for that glorious day, guard our souls from that which would sway us to forfeit the fortunes of heaven for the pittance of earth. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Jesus, help me to trust You even when circumstances would lead me to feel that You are distant and unaware of my circumstances. When I am focused on the difficulties in my life I can easily become overwhelmed, fearful and confused. But when I look to You, my victorious risen Savior, who endured the times of testing by spending time in passionate prayer, whether it was the 40 days in the wilderness when You stood strong against Satan’s frequent temptations or when You prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, I am strengthened and encouraged by Your example. When You were overwhelmed with sorrow even to the point of death You fell with Your face to the ground and surrendered Your human will to the Father’s plan which included unjust suffering and even death. And, whether we like it or not, Scripture tells us if we are to share in Your glory we must also share in Your suffering. Help me, Jesus, to watch and pray so that I will not fall into temptation during those experiences that involve suffering, but rather that my spirit and flesh will be strengthened so that I remain victorious through You, Jesus Christ my Lord, in whose name I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, we look to You for strength today and bright hope for tomorrow. Just as Stephen, as written in the book of Acts, had a glimpse of Your glory in heaven and Jesus standing at Your right hand he was filled with confidence to remain true to his convictions and calling though painful death was imminent. We pray for those enduring similar persecution today all throughout the world. We can see from examples in Your Word, when we are surrounded on all sides with difficulties and dangers because of enemies, we have but one retreat. Your mercy. Through my journey I have learned, faith in You will surely banish fear. May we all turn our hearts toward heaven so that we seek Your approval and blessing above the temporal thrills this world has to offer. May we perish every fond ambition, all we’ve sought, and hoped and known in exchange for the glories of heaven where we will reign with You forevermore. I want to make a firm resolve to live fully for You, for it is in You that I have put my trust: I will not be afraid of what man can do unto me. In the name of Yeshua I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, how special it is to know that I will not appear as a stranger before You in heaven, but You will call me to Yourself by name for You are thoroughly acquainted with me. As a loving father cares for his child so You care for me, your child bought by the blood of Jesus. You place me securely in the palm of Your hand so that no enemy can snatch me from Your protective and loving care. What a tremendous feeling of stability and peace this brings to my heart in a world that is becoming more impersonal, chaotic, and unhinged from the firm foundations established by Your excellent Word. My soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose You will not, You will not desert to my foes; my soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake, You’ll never, no never, no never forsake!” In the name of Jesus I ask and thank. Amen. Heavenly Father, we’re so thankful for the living Bible that reveals the lives of many patriarchs, prophets, priests, disciples, kings, and common ordinary folks like us. We read their stories; their temptations, their triumphs, their tragedies, their testimonies and their overcomings. One of the great lessons we learn from the canonized Scripture is that all of human creation goes through peaks and valleys, triumphs and tragedies, unexpected losses and surprise victories. Through it all Your Word spurs us on to become faithful servants of God in the midst of it all and to stay faithful all the days of our lives. We may not see the reward on this side, but it awaits us in glory where we store our treasures of eternal worth that will never disappoint or bring defeat. As conquerors through Christ who loves us You made a way for us to enter eternity where we will delight in the forever hereafter. Keep us patiently faithful until that appointed time, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, I have spoken to many people in the last few days wondering if Leanna and I were okay. During the conversations, most of us concluded that it is hard to trust anyone in this fallen world. Most of us are very much aware that our eyes need to be fixed on Yeshua and His Word. Lord, I ask You to help our ears to be alert, our eyes to be open, and our hearts to be perceptive as we follow in Your ways. May we be eager to hear Your teaching and apply it to our lives so that we may be found blameless before You and experience the joy You give to those who follow Your commands. When Your meaning is clear help us to seek no other meaning to satisfy our own desires or to change the clear meaning of Your message. Align our desires with Your own, that we might find genuine peace and wholehearted obedience as You bring spiritual healing to our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. I want to thank all those that have been in prayer for Leanna and I, as we dealt with a very strange, late snowstorm. For those that are not aware, We had 18+ inches of very wet, heavy snow that fell over night and in many of the surrounding areas, with all the trees down it looks like a war zone. This my brothers and sisters, is why you weren't receiving these prayers. During those few days, we were a little over 70 hours with out power. There are still some without power. So in this area, we have been isolating ourselves in more ways the virus. Thanks again for your concerns and your prayers. Love and blessings, Jim and Leanna Heavenly Father, many challenges, disappointments and quandaries fill our hearts as we live out our days here on earth, even if we are saved and walking daily by faith. The original sin committed by Adam and Eve has left a permanent stain on so much of what we encounter from day to day. But in Your compassion You provide us with ample Scripture that directs us, sustains us, and encourages as we encounter these bumps and unexpected potholes along the way. Most notably Isaiah 41:10 teaches us to hold steady and trust You: “Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” We know that trust will stamp out fear since we are upheld by Your righteous right hand. Thank You for caring, loving, and providing for our every need. In Jesus name we thank and ask. Amen. Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus my Lord and my Savoir. As we go through these trying times of uncertainty, I ask You Jesus, help me to determine in my heart that Your words, “Follow Me” will far surpass the importance of any other mission I am called to in my life time. I pray that my goals, achievements, and ambitions do not conflict with the major calling but further establish for me a firm foundation where my faith will grow and where I bring glory to Your name, both in life and in death. Thank You for hearing my prayer and helping all those that believe and put their trust in You. Amen. Heavenly Father, I want to place significance in the things that Your Word declares are of great worth, that which holds eternal value. When I’m inundated by the persuasive advertisements that tell me I’ll find greater happiness after the purchase I need the Spirit’s prompting. Remind me that material accumulations last only for a season, but spiritual gifts endure forever. Help me to find contentment in You because You are of great worth. The treasure of a vibrant relationship with You brings much greater joy and fulfillment than any of the temporary treasures of this world. So I ask You to help me to find proper placement with the material goods needed for my earthly journey and the treasures I should seek that have eternal significance. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. Heavenly Father, how marvelous is Your indescribable grace that You should love a sinner such as I. Though I deserve death You grant eternal life through the death of Your beloved Son, Jesus. I am accepted into Your family, into the sainthood of all believers, through my redemption in Christ. So, too, I want to accept those who have turned to you in faith and obedience, who might be different, who break into my carefully etched out comfort zone. In doing so I learn how to be more loving and tolerant of others different than myself in a way that pleases and honors You. I come as a mix of Your love, mercy, and grace as I extend myself to others around me. Amen. |
